    Signature Cocktails

We were originally headed to a different bar until we saw a "closed for private event" sign. Since we're from out of town and didn't really do our research, we just started walking around and this place caught our eye from the outside. Inside, they had cute little Christmas decorations, which set a cozy vibe... but honestly, the menu was the real star. They had December specials plus their signature cocktails. I personally thought the two signatures we ordered were giving Christmas vibes, but apparently they're year-round! I got the Harvest Fizz and absolutely LOVED it. It tastes like apple cider- super light, vodka and champagne but not too strong at all. Definitely a drink you can sip on for a while. I loved it so much that I came back a few days later just to get it again. Weeknight visit: dark, calm, quiet enough for actual conversation, and the bartender was really sweet. Saturday night visit: packed, totally different energy, but the drink was consistent.

We were asking around for a good bar to check out and then one came up multiple times! We had to pop by to give it a go. They had a great selection of liquors and a fantastic seasonal cocktail menu. They even offered bourbon tastings as an event! What a great idea for a bar. Very quaint spot! Loved the cozy open booths!

One of my favorite neighborhood bars in OTR. It's not pretentious but still has great quality. Solid heavy pours with reasonable prices. I love pretty much everything about The Lackman, it's the perfect size of a bar, the design is great. I do wish they brought back the pretzels. Service is top knotch, great bartenders especially Terry.

This girl below in the picture was serving 16 year old girls at the bar who she hugged. They were absolutely not of age. I almost called the police. Instead I just left. I use to come here many years ago and this place has gone wayyyy down hill. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Good little spot in OTR for an after show drink. We went and seen the high kings at Memo and the came here to grab a Guinness. Lovely dark atmosphere and service was knowledgeable with their drinks.

Casual location on Vine. Great to sit and watch a game and get caught up with friends and do a few pints.

Taylor RB was so sweet and quick with service, she was amazing :) drinks were so yummy and worth the money

    Always fun at Lackman!

Unique taps, tons of bourbon and whiskeys, fun atmosphere! Our group outing had a great time at Lackman Bar for a holiday visit. Service was stellar with quick refills on all drinks, and the menu has tons of unique concoctions. Check it out in OTR - it's near everything!

Had a great cocktail at Lackman about a year ago - the Elizabeth Weber. All the drinks were named after literary characters. Googling Elizabeth Weber -she was a South African author which could be the origin, but does anyone know differently?

Signature cocktails are no longer named for literary characters Boujee, Hipster Mojito, Summa Thyme, Bluegrass Burlesque, Get Smashed, Pineapple Express as of July 2019

Ordering twice gave us the opportunity to explore several dishes, and the quality and presentation remained thoughtful each time. Service was prompt and seamless, allowing us to enjoy a restaurant-level meal in the comfort of our room without losing the sense of intention behind the food. We sampled the steak and eggs, omelette, pork hash, along with lattes and cappuccinos. The coffee program was excellent, balanced and well crafted, pairing beautifully with the savory dishes. The steak and eggs and omelette were satisfying and well executed, but the true standout was the pork hash. It was deeply flavorful, comforting yet elevated, with a richness that felt chef-driven rather than heavy. Every bite carried warmth and depth, making it the highlight of our stay. Metropole succeeds in creating a dining experience that feels both approachable and quietly sophisticated. Even through in-room dining, the kitchen's attention to detail shines through, making it a place we would gladly return to for another thoughtfully prepared meal.

I believe they open the front windows during nice weather but in the winter, you're snug and cozy and the hustle and bustle of Walnut St is miles away. There is counter seating and then the other side is a long line of a booth seat with bistro tables and extra stools. The courtyard in the back is its own vibe and another transport. You're outside! Be aware it will be FAST. Look at the order ahead of time if you're a picky eater/drinker. They run your appointment like clockwork, and you'll be in-and-out, gulping down cocktails, through the entire experience. Your two drinks are included (this year, anyway), and I'd honestly be surprised if you managed to have time for a third. Time zips by fast. That being said, because they do it this way, you essentially have constant service, there's "events" that happen at the end of your reservation time, (I don't want to spoil it, but cover your drink!), and then they kick you out. Service was friendly, though, and I saw the server make time to take group photos for all of the tables (including ours) with someone at the table's camera. (No bullshit "group photo" upsells here) It's kinda loud, though, and I wouldn't recommend this as a chill meet-up-and-socialize spot. (If you wanna talk, they have an addendum, Christmas-themed laid-back bar next door.) It's more of a "get blasted in the face by Christmas for an hour and then leave" experience. It's pretty loud, and talking can be a bit difficult over the music and constant interruptions (more drinks? Photos? Cute Christmas video montage?) But this works in its favor as it feels the most Christmas, over-the-top, and seasonal out of all the holiday bars I've ever been to. It also keeps it from feeling too crowded as reservations are required, so you for-sure have a seat and you don't have to stand forever in line to wait for drinks. I'd probably guesstimate that bar staff is making all of their seasonal drinks, constantly, and servers just pick one up to deliver. With the capacity in here, it would make sense. No idea what the bar is like the rest of the year; this is just a review for the Miracle pop-up which, again, is probably the best I've been to in the Midwest. Cincinnati, you're spoiled down here. (Sidenote, I was absolutely taken aback by their TV presentation on the wall. It's hard to describe, but it isn't just a projector showing a giant rectangle. It's specifically slotted into the holes in-between holiday decorations. Staff told me that had to hire special technicians to get it to show up that way and that's seriously a level of detail I am so amazed by.)
