So I am traveling to Maine and am from NC. I needed a rear tire. Staying in Do er for the night I went to Rochester HD. Service said try and work me in and couldn't ensure it would be done in a day. Because they had appointments and couldn't take a traveler and I would have to hang around for whenever and bike week is coming up. Called this place mind you where the ralley is happening. Their stand was absolutely get it in and it will be done today. It was done in three hrs. So if you really need something done and need it while you're traveling i recommend this place. I purchased a Pan America in 2023 and I love it... went into the dealership to check out the parts department and noticed they had the NEW 2024 Road Glide and Street Glides. The GM, Scott, and his team offered to tell me more about them and I was off riding with Richard O. the next day... test drove both models. Dee was also very helpful explaining the new features in the 2024. They had some great pricing and very flexible on a few things I wanted and I drove home with a beautiful 2024 Road Glide! Had three bikes in for oil changes during bike week. 1. 2008 CVO springer they changed the oil filter but not the oil tried to charge me and send me on my way. 2. 2007 CVO road king did not change oil or filter tried to charge us and send us on our way. 3. 2014 CVO road king changed the oil and filter but left oil all over the front of the motor beneath oil filter and on the oil cooler etc. Worst part was the service technician wanted to argue about doing the work and had to show him how black the oil was as we road in from California. The oil filter on the road king, bike 2, was still dirty from rain and road but they were insisting it was changed. Never again. read more

Selected a used Sportster on a Saturday. Left a 50% deposit. Told them I was headed out of town for 10 days. Drove over 100 miles to pick up the bike. Paid the balance in cash after they tried to charge me 12% for a loan. The credit score they came up with was more than 50 points below my actual credit score, I check mine on a regular basis. Then they couldn't locate the title. They gave me a bill of sale and told me Massachusetts would be okay with it. Brought the bike back to Massachusetts, another 100+ miles. Only to find out their paperwork was not sufficient to register it in MA. Still waiting for title. Told I will have it tomorrow. The sale was complete. They had their $$$$. They were so rude to me when I called to complain about their screwing up the title delivery. Sales manager asked me if i felt they should know where all the titled were, I said well as a matter of fact you should know. Be very careful with these characters. Reently dropped my bike off at Laconia HD after having it serviced for hestitation and backfiring issues, which were supposedly fixed when they replaced the intake gaskets for $325. Nothing was fixed by replacing the intake gaskets. Same problems, so I took it back and they said they would get it in right away. the days started ticking by with no communication from them to me about what they were doing except when I called to check. I was told it would be going in on the second day and the the foreman was working on it. That was a lie. On day 3 in the afternoon, after I called them, they said they took the bike for a 43 mile test ride and couldn't duplicate the problem, so they couldn't do anything for me. What a bunch of bull shit. I picked it up on the afternoon of day 3 and within 6 miles it was noticeably hesitating, bucking, and back-firing. I've concluded their mechanics are probably capable of changing fluids and that's about it. Their service manager, Scott, saw this a losing proposition for them so he decided to lie to me that they couldn't replicate the problem - so they couldn't fix it - and get this bike out of his shop so they can get some paying jobs in. Screw the redo's! Scott's attitude was basically F-you. Extremely unprofessional. No communication with me for three and a half days except when I called them. I'm also convinced that working for this dealership probably sucks. The employees in the service department show low morale, are standoffish and I'm sure know that their department sucks. I hope more people read these reviews because you'll see I'm not alone. I don't trust them and you shouldn't either. They don't deserve a single star but that's as low as it goes. read more

This review will not be positive however, I will be fair and say that salesman Steve and the parts guys were great. I drove two hours to this dealership in response to a 0 down/0 % financing/0 cash Independence day promotion I found on their website. When I arrived they knew nothing about their own promotion. Sales guy has to ask his manager who had to call HD corporate. After all that I was told that HD told them it was a dealer promotion, not corporate, and that they couldn't honor the promotion because it would eat up their profit. I'm thinking why the hell advertise the promo then but whatever. I negotiated a deal on a 2017 RGU and rode it out of there after getting Eaglemarks lowest APR based on my 832 credit score. The next day I call HD corporate and inquire about this dealers shady business practice and false advertising and they opened a complaint. Shortly thereafter I receive a call from a nice guy named Steve at the dealership (not the salesman). He commiserates with me for a bit, then admits that this promotion was designed to get customers through the door and that no one receives this deal. Steve is a good guy but clearly not in a position to help me so he says he'll have the sales manager call me. Enter manager Jay. This guy is a class A pompous jerk. I promise this guy wouldn't have acted the way he did if his boss was within earshot. He's the stereotypical dude that acts like he's doing you a favor when you spend $28,000.00 in his store. Anyway, Jay can't understand the issue with advertising a promotion that they have no intention of honoring. I should mention that the only small print on this deal stated it was only for those who have a sufficient credit score ( I do) and only included 2017 models that were in the dealers inventory (check the box on that too). I drove two hours to get to Jay's store, but could have chosen from four other dealers within the same distance. Others have probably driven further. It was pretty obvious that Jay lacked the integrity and intelligence to comprehend the issue and we were getting nowhere so I ended the call. The sad thing is if I'd heard from the GM or the owner as I requested I'm sure we could have worked this out with no hard feelings. But Ole' Jay seems to be the final stop on this ride and here are the consequences- Laconia won't be installing my Stage 4 kit this winter, they won't be selling me the thousands of dollars of blacked out and contrast cut parts, the won't be servicing my bike, they won't be selling my wife the motorclothes and jewelry that she loves so much and they damn sure will never sell me or any of my friends and family another motorcycle. In fact earlier today my father in law purchased a 2017 FLHTK from one of Laconia's competitors (Granite State HD in Lebanon). To me, this whole situation is sad. This situation could have been remedied right up until Jay got involved. Everyone would have been happy and I could have had the great customer/dealership relationship that I've always tried to have. For those who are curious feel free to go to Laconia HD's website and check out the false advertising for yourself, it's still posted and is good through 7/31/17...that is if the don't modify it or pull it. Just this past weekend 6/29/19 i was in new Hampshire riding with a group ive been meeting with for 14 years. Some ride Harley's and some dont. We were staying up in Lincoln, NH for the weekend. My bike which takes a 240 rear tire got a nail in it and had to be plugged. Not the end of the world. I called around to half a dozen shops looking for a tire and finally called Laconia HD. They said we have the tire,come on down and we will help you out. So i rode the bike to there shop, about an hours ride. The service manager, as soon as he realized I ride a metric bike slammed the door in my face " we dont work on anything but harley". What these idiots dont realize is that i change bikes often including harley so not only did they lose the sale of there over priced tire, they certainly removed any chance of me purchasing a motorcycle from the EVER!! read more

I've been riding since I was a kid, and I've worked in several different Harley dealerships on both coasts, and I still think Laconia HD is a great business. The sheer size of the store is incredible. It has a huge showroom, which enables them to put out a huge inventory of Harleys on the floor, so you have a lot to look at, sit on, and compare. It's large enough that you can wander around browsing, and you don't feel as if people are watching you or focused on you. The dealership has a very casual feel to it. The motor clothes department is enormous, and also has an abundance of merchandise put out. they have more readily available than most dealerships, just based on the space they have to work with. The parts department offers the same as the motor clothes department. The service department here is beautiful, well-kept, and the customer waiting area is very generous, with a large TV, and Keurig coffee for you to enjoy as you wait. I have found the customer service here to be extremely professional and solid. They don't bug you, but when you need assistance, someone is always available to help you. This can be a tough balance to find; they seem to have found this balance. Overall, this is a great Harley dealership. They seem to offer everything a customer could want, including rentals, which is huge in this area. They are certainly big enough to handle the annual Laconia Bike Week, and they take a lot of pride in their grounds, and their building. Its an extremely inviting place to visit. read more

On March 14th, 2020 I purchased a 2020 street bob fxbb, I had it for two weeks, went riding with a friend of mine, he noticed my rear fender didn't look right, so we brought it back to Harley, after arguing with Bo the sales manager about the bike, and them thinking it was my fault, they then kept the bike and noticed that the frame was twisted right from the factory, so they put me on a loaner for a couple weeks, 2016 street bob that was dumping out oil out of the air cleaner, Rob the gm and Bo the sales manager both told me that their mechanics overfilled the tank, so clearly their mechanics don't have a clue what they're doing. 2 weeks later the service department calls me back saying the frame is twisted and that they have to get a new frame from the Harley factory, unfortunately the Harley factory is closed until further notice due to the covid-19 pandemic, not once has Laconia Harley offered to put me on a new bike, but still make me pay my bill for a bike I'm not riding, Laconia Harley is by far the absolute worst dealership to deal with, horrible customer service, they only care about themselves and making their quota, they also over charge on all their bikes, and now I have to get a lawyer to have Harley get the bike with the twisted frame wiped clean so I'm out of that loan because Laconia Harley won't do anything for me but screw me over more and more!! Went in with a buddy to see what kind of deal he could get on a 2020 RGS. HALWIT named Collin from sales tells us the stock one black was in low 30s. I tell him that MSRP IS 27 5 ish. Actually 27,299. He tells me that was for a standard not a special. So he never gives us a price, never talks about any incentives they were alleged to be offering. Beautiful dealership but staff should know pricing. Collin would do more service for the dealership washing bikes. Has no clue. Will buy at another dealership. read more

High pressure sales staff. Went to look and buy a couple shirts. Didn't even look around at merchandise. Got pressured to a bike I wasn't interested in. Was given a very low NADA value for a trade in yet they wanted $4,000 above NADA for the 10 year old used bike they were trying to push on me. They wouldn't take no for an answer. We just ended up walking out. And let me not forget to mention that there were 2 bikes on the website that I wanted to see. Neither one was there. When I asked about these lower priced bikes I was told. " when we get trades in they all go on the website but we won't sell them if they aren't up to standards. We wholesale them out." Had a fantastic experience when purchasing my bike in February. Salesman, Steve, was a pleasure to work with! Picking up my bike was one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered. I called two hours before my ETA to pick up my bike. I got there and no one knew I was coming and my bike was still up in storage. No big deal, right? Wrong! The gentleman couldn't find my bike anywhere. I had seen it two weeks ago and offered to show him. Finally get my bike out and it won't start. Ok, I am reasonable, it was in storage the battery may need a charge. They jumped it twice, still wouldn't stay running! Low and behold there was no gas. Filled it up with gas and jumped it again. Yay! It started!!! I notice it is extremely dirty and make mention of that and our 1 1/2 hour ride back home with it looking like crap and the battery being iffy. Finally they offer a new battery and to detail it. You'd think that would be it, but nope! We go to leave and the sales manger calls me to apologize. Ummm I am standing IN the parking lot looking at this guy while he talks to me and makes excuses as to the issues. Very unprofessional! My husband rides my bike halfway home and needs to use the restroom. Guess what!!! My bike didn't start!!!!! Called the dealership and he says "sounds like the battery terminals are loose". Are you kidding me???? They change the battery and don't tighten the terminals? WTF! Finally flag down another motorcyclist who has a screw driver and my husband fixes it. Who would have thought I needed a tool box to pick up a BRAND NEW bike? We will never spend another dime there. read more

Every year we trek out to NH for Laconia Bike week and no trip is complete without stopping at the Harley dealers. One of the things I have started doing is buying Harley poker chips from the different dealers since I have had the opportunity to drive across country this year. My gripe with this particular dealer is that the price for the chips was $4.00 while other dealers charge less than $2.00. Not a lot of money, but just struck me the wrong way. Guess my issue is that Harley dealers have a reputation for getting as much as the market allows, and that is what Capitalism is about... Just a gripe, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth...I will say that the staff was very helpful with other purchases we made...and the store was well prepared with merchandise and services. read more

brought in my Motorcycle for a shifter that had trouble going into neutral when motorcycle is up to operating temp,bike was "Diagnosed" and they said it was the piston sticking in the clutch master cylinder so i need a new one, tried to bring bike home that day bit they claimed the master cylinder "Fell apart" while tech was looking at it... so bike had to stay there till the new part cam in, told me would be done on tuesday, tuesday rolls around and they said the tecH had the "Day off" so would be wednesday, wednesday i picke up the bike payed them $600 cash then drove 3 hours home with bike on trailer unloaded it and test drove it and was the same as before! no neutral when warmed up, called them and was told to bring it back and it would be diagnosed again and i would have to pay for the repairs, i ended up researching the problem and it is common on these bikes and ended up removing the forward control shifter and cleaing all the dirt and grime out of the plastic bushing-lubing and reinstalling and wow! no problems now! called Laconia HD asked for money back and was refused, i told them and showed them photos of the problem but the Service Manager is a really rude individual was raising his voice and treating me badley. said he would only refund me $200.00 take it or leave it! i told him why the tecj never checked the shift controls and he stated as they usually dont check the easy stuff like that as most of the time its a hydraulic clutch master cylinder so they default go to that! this place is wicked rude! they are not honest and their techs are "inapt" read more

I signed up for a class 4 months before. They had an instructor call in sick and made it the students problem. They needed people to reschedule or cancel. Initially nobody volunteered but two other people agreed to change classes. After they agreed they would not guarantee their new class time and reneged on the initial agreement. I asked for a refund since I did not have a bike already. They were rather rude to people who agreed to reschedule and they said they refiunded my card. I told them I got hacked and I had a new card and they did not care and said I had to work it out with my bank. The employees argued in front of us an did not care about us or each other. I waited 4 months (reserved really early to get spot) had to drive 45min there and back, had to get my family to watch kids for the weekend for nothing. They did not care that all of us had this planned at this time for various reasons. Recommend anywhere else. read more

We went to Laconia Harley Davidson during Bike Week. Even though they have a huge selection of T shirts, I never find anything that is really good for a middle aged women. The clothes are made for 20 year olds and under...capped sleeves, flimsy material, and tight fitting. I don't think that the owners have any idea of the average ages of Harley riders. Please let me help you with that, it is 50 and up. And unfortunately, we don't look good in capped sleeves and flimsy shirts. Also, it was very annoying to have people chasing you down to buy 10 dollars woth of raffle tickets while you are shopping. How many people really like to buy raffle tickets to benefit a cause we have nothing to do with? We all have our favorite charities and you would not like if I came in and tried to sell raffle tickets for Diabetes or cancer which are both two important charities to me. Are you trying to scare your cusotmers out of the store? I prefer to shop in peace without being harrassed. There are also an extremely limited amount of belts and accessories. Thank God that there were so many cool vendors available outside the building. That is where I spent my money. read more

They have taken such good care of my 2010 Ultra Classic. When I purchased the bike I was sure to buy the extended warranty on it. I took it in for service on bike week. They found an issue, they put me on rental and repaired the bike in two days. Just yesterday my throttle stopped working, they had it fixed in a few hours and I was ready to roll. Excellent job!! First, I want to say the service department is great. I had a pleasant experience with the service writer explaining I wanted a chrome front end, pipes installed, fog lamps and a stage 1 download performed on my 2014 SGS. They got my bike in and finished it in a timely manner and the quality of work was top notch. They even washed my bike so it looked better than when I dropped it off. That's a classy move. I've had other Harley dealers leave my bike out in the rain. The only beef I have with this dealer is I was promised 10% off of the parts because I am a HOG member (I spent $2200) and never got it. I was told by the service writer that the parts were already discounted...they were not. I called the manager the same day. He apologized about the mix up and assured me he would give me a credit on my credit card. I never got it. I called a 3rd time to try and get my credit and was switched to 3 different people and then put on hold for a very long time. Needless to say I finally gave up and that's why I only give them 2 stars. Good work but they lie and do not follow thru on what they say. read more

Went into dealership intending to buy a new 48 cash. Asked the salesman for his best price. He asked if I had spoken with other dealers, I told him I had. He asked me if I had gotten a price. I told him I had. He asked me what they had quoted, I told him it didn't matter, just give me your best price, I'm ready to buy. 3 times I asked this guy for a price. Three times he refused, insisting that he wouldn't give me a price unless I told him what "the number was he had to beat" and the last time he was rude and condescending. He obviously didn't take me seriously. If this guy had bothered to look in their system he would have seen I purchased there before. It wasn't even that I was trying to price shop him. I went there for convenience. The bike was for my son, and we spend the summer near this dealership. I have 9 bikes, 5 of which are Harley's. I use to go to this dealership for parts and other things I needed, since I spend the summer living close by. This place won't see a dime from me again. I had seen 2 bikes for sale on there website and decided to make a day trip to make my first bike purchase.after standing in (2 hours one way) the showroom for an hour and finally getting someone to assist me (as the 2 bikes I had seen online where not in there showroom) I was told the first bike of which I had gone to see they wouldn't even show me unless I was another dealer (so why even put it on your website with a purchase price) and the second bike a vrod hadn't even been through the shop and couldnt give me a price on it (it was definitely an abused bike that had been dropped at least once and never cleaned also they had no problem putting a price tag on there site) the bike wasn't even the color they listed it as over all I wont ever be returning to this location nor will I ever recommend them to anyone I know save yourself a trip unless your walking in with 20k plus then I'm shure your experience will vastly differ from mine read more

So I dealt with Steve who I believe is the sales manager I have to say after purchasing cars and motorcycles over way to many years and sitting at a sales desk for hours and hours until they were you down and you still get up and have to walk away . This was the furthest from that, I rode in on one of their busiest days to show my wife what bike I had planned on purchasing this winter . Thought I was making a mistake making eye contact with Steve ! Turned out to be the best thing I did that day he asked what I wanted for my trade-in and what I had hoped to pay for a new bike I told him and 20 minutes later he came back with his offer that was exactly what I said I wanted for my bike and exactly what I wanted to pay for the new one ( He called my bluff and met my demands ) less than one hour later they had the plates on the new bike and I was driving away Lets not forget the amazing finance guy Steve what a nice guy moved it along in lighting speed great company to work with read more

Installed and dented custom handle bars. Installed the wrong grips. Dented dash and bezel. Installed parts that they weren't supposed to. Charged me away. 5 months and still has not fixed. At least they admitted to damages...big deal I have been chasing them to fix since August 2015. Finally called Harley...Lets see what they do? I documented the damages...and the issues THEY CAUSED.....at the time of pick up. Would not give me a loner to go home. I live over 100 miles away. Made me take the bike. Wanted to leave me stranded when I went to pick up the bike. Also made me pay for work before fixing. Should have NEVER done so. My mistake. They should be ashamed to call themselves a Harley dealer. Dropped off bike at 8:45 a.m. for the replacement of two tire at which time I was told it would take 3 hours. By 2 p.m. when they had not called, I called and was told the bike had just gone on the bench and it would be 1.5 hrs. Gave them more than two, arrived at 4:30ish and, after they couldn't find work order, they told me it was just finishing up. More than 30 minutes later, after 5 (when they close), it was done.
