I went to Lacquer with very high hopes since everyone raves about this place. I had an appointment; when I got there I was told by the receptionist guy that I needed to come back 20-30 minutes after my appointment time. Once it was my turn, I had picked out a color for my pedicure and the woman said it was going to be an extra $25.00 for the color I chose. I ended up not getting the color I wanted because of it. I got the $35.00 pedicure package. I was definitely not impressed. While doing my pedicure, the woman started making fun of my legs for being too white. Once my toes were done, I was moved in to the middle to get my full set. The chair I was in was extremely uncomfortable and the arm rests were broken. The chair next to be was also broken. I showed him a photo before we started and asked if he could do a watercolor design on my two ring fingers and he said no. This was a big disappointment also because on their Instagram profile, designs are all they show. When it got to the cutting stage of the artificial nail, i said I needed my nails very, very short so I could still work. The man that was doing my nails then pulled out his scissors and pinched them on my finger about half way down and said "short enough?" as he laughed. If I had moved my finger at this time, he 100% would've cut my finger off. It's been about 3 weeks and my nails look like trash. I have taken the artificial nails off and my natural nails haven't been this destroyed in a long, long time. I am very disappointed in Lacquer and won't be going there again. read more

Me & my friend heard nothing but great things about this shop . I am really skeptical when it comes to trying people out , but they do a lot of things other shops don't do . We drove 40 minutes to try this place out . The first time I got pink & white ombré & it came out absolutely perfect !! I paid $53 for just my fill which was a little pricey but I thought it was worth it . I came back bc I loved it so much , but the second experience wasn't so great .. I made an appt for a fill & a pedi w the same lady that did my first nails & I asked to rose gold chrome . ( red underneath & a chrome over it to make it rosey ) . The full was perfect , I asked her not to reshape my nails bc I liked them the way they were & she did anyway which wasn't really a big deal . I like my nails really coffin , but really square on the corners . She proceeded to put the red nail polish on as the under coat , the paint job was whatever . ( pet peeve : when corners are cut esp w bright colors such as red ) . I put my hand under the uv light as she paints the other w red . She brings out the powder , but it's gold . I thought maybe she knew something I didn't . I reiterated that I wanted rose gold . She said she knew . She does my whole right hand & its this orange red looking color ( absolutely hated it ! ) . Mind you the whole time she is rushing me , I was her last appointment of the day . She was running scrambling around the shop trying to finish my nails as fast as she could . She proceeds to move on to the pedicure , also a rushed job . I had a split in my right toe nail that she didn't even file to make even . At this point I'm ready to leave . I'm upset that I'm paying extra for something I didn't even receive . I pay $65 for JUST my nails & it is the whole wrong color . My husband pays $23 for my pedi . As I am driving home I am livid w the end result . I called the next day to let the manager know that I am not satisfied w my nails & it wasn't what I asked for . She doesn't apologize or anything she just asked if I could come back in same day or the next day . So I come back in 2 days later .. She takes off the nail polish but leaves more than half the red on before she repaints more red over it . Then she does the CORRECT chrome over the red , by the time she is done putting the 2 clear coats on top of it my nails are the correct color , but they are lumpy everywhere . Let's just said this experience wasn't worth anything close to $65 for JUST MY NAILS ! I didn't mind the price if it was what it was suppose to be . But the fact that I came , was rushed & given the wrong color , came all the way back ( 80 min round trip ) , got the right color , no compensation , no apology , no nothing but a sloppy job pisses me off . The staff was chill , good vibe in the shop , but unless you are a regular or know someone who is that goes to the same person every time , I would be careful making blind appointments . & I won't be back ... read more

The place is beautiful and everyone is so nice BUT don't go here thinking you're getting gel nails. They use the powder on you to build an acrylic nail then add a gel coating to the top. So if you're ok with paying extra then sure. But you need to educate yourself on the differences between gel and acrylic nails before coming here. My nails were so damaged. I've NEVER had acrylic on them before. They grow long and hard on their own but after these "gel" nails were removed they were brittle, flimsy and broken. Know what you're paying for. read more

My daughter and I went in for our appointment a little early the lady at the counter was so friendly told us it would just be a bit! My daughter picked out her color they told me they had one pedicure chair open and asksd if my daughter should go first I was so happy with their service they treated her so well the girls doing the pedicure were awesome! I showed the girl Christina a pic of what I wanted (which I got from their Yelp btw, so they were capable of having the products to get it the way I wanted) it didn't turn out at all how I wanted. The white was so different. She suggested the pic I showed her was a matte white, so I added the matte which cost me extra and it still didn't look nothing like the pic. I also asked for coffin nails (which also cost extra) and they honestly look square shaped to me. $65 for nails that looked nothing like how I wanted it or like the pic I showed. My nails don't look horrible so 2 stars for that but I Probably wouldn't come back. read more

Michelle does an amazing job on my nails every time and I never leave unhappy when she does them! (I've gotten my nails done by 2 other techs and was overall not happy with their work). She is so sweet and listens to what I want and respectfully gives her expert opinion on how she would change it. I always make my appointments with her because she's a great nail tech when she knows exactly what you want. She always paid attention to detail when it came to my nails but if I wanted something fixed she would fix it without any attitude or making me feel bad. This is definitely my new spot to get my nails done. When you walk in its by far the nicest salon in Stockton. There are two rows of pedicure chairs, one with the massage chairs one without. I appreciate that because I don't like sitting on massage chairs. Everything is so clean and modern looking, I love it. They have a wide variety of different relaxing pedicures, I tried the mad hatter for $35. I liked the scrub and mint mask. All in all I would recommend this place to everyone.
