Dr. Mai is very gentle and makes sure that you are not in any pain. She always remembers to ask you if you are in pain and makes sure that you notify her of any pain. I am currently in the process of major dental work done from years of not flossing and brushing regularly as I should. She is basically is on call 24/7 and squeezes me in if I have pain on my teeth. She dedicates the time and effort to make sure you are NOT uncomfortable. I am someone who is very frightened of the Dentist but she has been very careful and knows my pain limit! Hands down best dental office ever! Literally had my 4 th emergency dental visit today and Dr. Mai is super awesome because her staff was able to squeeze me in once again! What also amazed me today was how wonderful her staff was with my 2 year toddler. Anyone with young children know how challenging it can be to get your child to be cooperative at the dentist! I just recently moved to Rancho Mission Viejo and was looking for a dentist for my Fiancé and I. I found Dr. Ly on Yelp and I decided to schedule the two of us appointments. Mine was yesterday, and I had the best experience I have had in years with a dentist. The staff was very kind. I don't have dental insurance; however, Ladera Ranch Dentistry was offering a special on cleaning, x-rays and exam. I quickly called and made an appt. I saw Dr Chamberlin. She was very gentle and kind. She saw I had an issue with my gums and also found a cavity. She took care of my issues same day. I will be returning to see Dr Chamberlin next year. What can I say to this place? Other then Dr. Mai is the one, you could not find a better dentist. She is too good and too caring for her patients. She is on top of everything. This is the most overpriced dentist, not sure how they have all these 5 star reviews. First of all they got me in the door by offering a $49 special for x-rays, consultation and cleaning. What a great deal, right? After the x-rays and consultation I am told that a regular cleaning will not do the job and that I am in need of a deep cleaning. So I think okay, how bad can it be, maybe a couple hundred dollars. Yeah right, try $1,200! Again this is just for a deep cleaning with some antibiotics, no major dental work. So I leave the office still paying the full $49 even though I did not receive a cleaning. I went for a second opinion and was told that I only need a deep cleaning on the lower quadrant for a much lower price of $200. My new dentist also did a regular cleaning despite the fact that she was recommending further treatment. My advise to Dr. Mai, cut back on your fancy welcome bags and extravagant giveaways and offer your customers a service at a fair price. read more

Minimal wait time she will get you in within 5 to 10mins of your appointment time. Its one of my pet peeves where you got to wait half an hour when you have an appointment. I went in for a wisdom tooth removal surgery. They were totally pleasant, kept me calm and realized my individual needs for the surgery. My old dentist was 70 years old and had a condition that literally made him constantly shake. I couldn't believe he was a dentist..we had some bad experiences with him. This place changed my outlook on dentists. After my wisdom tooth removal surgery, i developed an infectious abscess in my mouth and even had a small tumor on my bottom lip that had been there for YEARS and i had never known that small, white thing protruding from my lip that i used to just play with with my teeth was a benign tumor. The abscess, however, was obviously not benign and could have killed me if left untreated. In one session these lifesavers removed my tumor and drained my abscess and prescribed me very effected antibiotics. They saved my life and were absolutely wonderful about it! Thanks :) read more

Dr. Mai ly was very thorough, soft spoken, and nice which made the experience more pleasant for my kids. The staff was very nice and courteous as well. They gave my kids a gift bag for being new patients. It was good that xray, exam and cleaning were all done in the same room. My older son normally gets very nervous but he said afterwards that he didn't have a problem with the way the hygienist worked on him. I was very impressed with cleaning which was much more thorough than our previous experience with our previous dentist. Dr. Mai Ly is a total professional. I have been going to dentists since the age of 3 and now, at 74, I can say she is all you could hope for in a dentist. She and her staff put you at ease by asking personal questions and then remembering your interests, family, etc. at subsequent visits. Your dental health, however, is their primary concern. They are quick to offer suggestions and to listen to your questions. Dr. Ly has recently re-done several crowns for me. She has gone the extra mile to make sure the color and the fit are perfect. She has had her lab re-do a couple of crowns until they are right. Not all dentists are so concerned and accommodating. The hygienist here is also very concerned that things are going right in my mouth. Dr. Ly's assistants are also very caring. The computer guru and front office staff will answer any questions you have, too. I don't have insurance, so that's the only drawback for me. It is very comforting knowing you are receiving excellent care, while being made to feel like one of the Ladera Dentistry family! read more
