We were so fortunate that our almost five-year-old got to spend his final year before kindergarten at this special school. The amount of care and creativity that goes into each child and each daily activity is astounding! Our child was seen and valued for all components of his personality and we saw the work of his teachers as the full extension of what we value most at home. We are so thrilled that our THT relationship will continue with our two younger children in future years. So much love to all of the THT family! We are so grateful.

I was initially hesitant about home daycares, but after seeing the facility, backyard, and daily activities, I knew this was the perfect fit. Since starting, my son has learned self-regulation, goes to sleep independently (something he never did at home!), and his language has absolutely exploded. He joined with a strong vocabulary and some ASL, but now he expresses himself in so many new ways- it's astonishing to watch. LUFLS is all about learning through doing. The kids explore a chicken coop, care for other animals, play in a dirt box and water stream, do art projects, and even have an independent handwashing station. Outdoors is a favorite; my son's top word is "outside!" Beyond outdoor play, LUFLS offers enrichment like yoga, drama, and gymnastics, and on lighter days the kids enjoy farmers markets, train rides, and beach trips. These experiences foster both community among the children and connections among the adults. Daily updates through ClassDojo keep parents connected, and I couldn't be more thrilled to have found this incredible daycare. I look forward to watching my son grow here.

The terrific facility has a spacious, shady backyard space, a creek, and a dirt play box with play shovels and trucks (which our kiddo loved during the tour). They also have chickens, with whom the kiddos get to interact and learn responsibility and empathy. I love that most of the day, weather permitting, the kids get ample outside time to continue learning. Hands down, the best reason to enroll is the expert and thoughtful staff. The amount of one-on-one time these kids get also shows how quickly our kiddo learned to read and write. The curriculum is also incredibly well-rounded, exposing the kids to different cultures and customs, fun and educational field trips that engage the kiddos, and weekly activities like gymnastics, yoga, and music. As a parent, I love that they focus on building a community for the kids, but they also want the parents to have a community. For some field trips, like apple picking, parents are encouraged to come along, but they also host kid-free gatherings for the parents, which is a great way to get to know everyone, including the staff. Additionally, Shaunte, Miss Sani, and the rest of the staff is incredibly supportive, not only in the areas where we wanted our kid to grow and learn, but also as a family when we've been going through tough times. Honestly, the LUFLS has been an extended family for us. One of the most valuable aspects of their team is how much they've allowed and helped our kiddo grow emotionally and build his resilience. Our kiddo is a sensitive introvert, and LUFLS has cultivated a safe and nurturing space for him so that he feels comfortable coming out of his shell so much that you might mistake him for an extrovert. I am sad we have to move on to Kinder in the fall, but I am so grateful knowing the Little Urban Farmers' team has helped my kid feel ready for this next big step, and I am thankful for all they've done for us.

At little Stars, they have beautiful spaces (a community garden where they grow veggies, a beach playground, so many ateliers) and loving teachers. Unfortunately the school had to close for a few weeks because of COVID. They reopened 19 weeks ago, with new safety mesures and since then no one has been sick. Kids even don't realize there is a new protocol. So Mrs Darlene, Mr Louie, the teachers, thank you so much for making the school like normal, with running, hugging, laughing, learning children. My child started in Ms. Shuley's class and she is truly the perfect teacher to begin a Montessori journey with. She is warm, thoughtful and exceptionally skilled at what she does. She made my child feel comfortable and secure and within just three days she was fully adjusted to her new school environment. Ms. Shuley's teaching approach is remarkable that we began noticing positive changes and growth within just a few weeks. We couldn't have asked for a better start. Our Montessori experience concluded with Ms. Melody and Ms. Gaby who made an equally lasting impact. My child absolutely adored them and even a year later still misses them dearly. They take the time to understand each child's unique strengths and interests, nurturing independence, confidence and a genuine love of learning. They strike the perfect balance between being loving and maintaining clear expectations for discipline. The growth we saw in our child academically, socially and emotionally was truly wonderful. The school maintained excellent communication with parents, consistently kept us informed about our child's progress and daily activities. The environment is clean, organized and thoughtfully prepared with engaging materials that inspire creativity and critical thinking. We wholeheartedly recommend this Montessori school to any parent seeking a supportive, enriching and child-centered learning environment. We only wish they offered an elementary program especially with Ms. Melody and Ms. Gaby as teachers!

I still have the same warm, positive, and grateful feelings towards the school I did five years ago. All of my children's teachers (Misses Esmeralda, Ana, Elaina, Allie, Cynde, Shuly, Melody and Gaby) have been excellent. I'm a total snob about people and experiences - I don't like most things - and I love these women. They have all been such positive influences on my children's lives. I also want to give a special shout out to Ms. Marycarmen and Ms. Michelle, who are transparent, communicative, and proactive - I always feel very well-informed with what's happening. And thank you to Ms. Gao, the Mandarin teacher! My daughter loves her. Lastly, thank you to Ms. Ruhi. She is a terrific leader. She celebrates the children while also being serious about their education and well-being. In the depths of Covid, Ruhi was calm, direct, strong, and smart. I'd send her questions and she'd get right back to me with informed and smart responses. When we had a family emergency, she was right there to be a resource for us. Tomorrow is the end of a chapter for us, and I really do have tears in my eyes typing this. Every day when I drop off my kids - tomorrow with Miss Gaby and Miss Melody - I know they will be well taken care of and come home a little smarter, happier, and kinder. Miss Gaby and Miss Melody are icons in our house. Heroes for those of us who believe you can be serious and still kind, funny and still strong. Thank you to everyone I mentioned here, and anyone I forgot. You all have made an incredibly positive impact on me, my children, and ultimately, my family.
