A very nice looking restaurant by the sea, service kinda ok, drinks were good, they were very busy had to get up and look for our server a couple of times, food not the best very salty, wished at least the tostones were good but they weren't, this was my first and last time coming in to this restaurant.

The food is great, but I'm not here to talk about the food. The "service", on another level. Gastón is so attentive and his recommendations are on point. Very friendly and cheerful employee who enjoys his work. If I were the owner I would definitely make sure to retain such a helpful and excellent employee.

I give it 2 stars only for the ambiance. It stands out as a nice establishment compared to anything within 10 miles. Great view of the water and provides space that you would expect. Menu provides a lot of options, however I sadly have to stop there because I ordered a churassco that the menu listed as $18 and two rum and cokes and my bill was $50. No itemized contents on this bill... I'm guessing because I'm a gringo they charged me San Juan prices. Definitely not on the up and up on the pricing.

If I could give negative star I would. Lobster paella was serve with lobster head as decorative only and no actual lobster in it...what the heck? Let's me start from the beginning, we decided to stop in for lunch after driving by and saw a great beach view. Valet parking $6. We ordered a mix seafood dish with garlic and butter as recommended by the waitress and the seafood paella. Well let just said the food taste worse than a high school cafeteria lunch. The mix seafood dish was not fresh and way over cook, there were small chunk of lobster but it was rubbery and tasted like it came from a frozen days old left over. My paella which cost $50 was tasteless and soggy. The seafood included was imitation crab, prawns, squid and bay shrimp but no lobster. After inquired with our waitress and pointed out to her that there were no lobster, she came back to tell us that the kitchen didn't inform her that there is no lobster today and the head was for decorative purposes only. She apologizes and offer to comp us our second round of drink which add up to $13. Then said "I will have to pay for it later" I asked out of your pocket? And she said yes. I told her that it's not her doing so why does she have to pay, she told me that's how it work there that all the wait staff have to come out of their pocket to pay for the kitchen mistakes... I said I do not want her to comp my drinks but rather go talk to her manager and the kitchen to charge me for the food without the lobster price. It tasted so terrible that we end up didn't eat it and left the entire dish there, for her to bring back to the kitchen. After all that my bill arrived, we got charge in full $122 and some change for 2 dishes and drinks which we didn't eat. She seems to be afraid of the management and my husband said don't make a big deal cause she may loose her job. Horrible experience, we paid for our tab and left her tips but really that the most we paid for a meal since we have been on the island. Such scam and terrible food, but worst is the horrible management for that place. Save yourself from this tourist trap and just don't go there. Negative 5 star for me, left with such a bitter taste about Puerto Rico all together

The food here is AMAZING! Let's set the scene. As you drive up to it, way back in a residential neighborhood, it appears as a nondescript building. Small parking lot. The walk in (under blue light and a swordfish) starts to get you pumped up. You walk by two tanks of live crabs (of which maybe you can pick the one you want, but they are small). The view you get at the top of the ramp is breathtaking. Ahead of you is the water. Not off in the distance. Right in front of you. Maybe 3 feet of sand. Plenty of outside seating. If the heat isn't your thing, inside is chilly A/C. Full bar, and what looks like a good wine selection. There is a boat on the sand you can sit in that's almost right over the water. Servers and all are extra nice. They just sold me a bottle of homemade pique for $5. We had Melody. So nice. Of the two times here, as I am only on the island for two weeks for a school, and will probably be back within the week I have left, I have had the lobster. Super fresh and cooked right, not rubbery. Prices are very reasonable. This place is a MUST if you come to Puerto Rico. Trust me.

Warning: this is a review from main-lander that speaks little Spanish. Totally worth the drive! The only thing better than the food is the incredible view. This place is a true hidden hot spot with a very large variety of high quality traditional Puerto Rican food. It's tricky to find and cell service gets worse the closer you get to the restaurant. I had the pasta both nights: amazing penne in white sauce with generous portions of steak, lobster, shrimp, etc. I tried my friend's steak mofongo and it was also very tasty. The house made pique is some of the best on the island. Our server Melody was great. She is very attentive and was patient as we asked lots of questions about the menu. She has great suggestions if you don't know what to order...just trust her. I will more than likely come back here at least one more time before I leave the island next week.

The food was ok. I had the pulpo cóctel, which I had to remind the waitress about our order. For my entree I had the shrimp in garlic sauce and it was good. My girlfriend had the red snapper which she enjoyed.

Aalyah, thank you so much for making our last meal in San Juan so special!! The portions are huge! I split an app with 3 people and honestly the main dishes can be split among two people as well. It was very tasty especially the chicken, and the ribs! The place also looked amazing and we were given a semi-private room for such a large group. Thanks for having us!!

We visited on a Monday night without a reservation and almost didn't get a table. The hostess was incredibly kind and explained that there was an 8:00 p.m. reservation that hadn't been confirmed. She offered to seat us if the party didn't arrive within the grace period. Thankfully, they never showed up, and the table became ours. From that point on, everything was fantastic. The food was spectacular, and the service was just as impressive. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is charming and inviting--it really does feel like dining in a cozy "casita." If you're visiting San Juan, Casita Miramar is absolutely worth a visit. Great food, excellent service, and a memorable dining experience.
