When we tried to start our pontoon boat it was no longer nice. Our boat would not start (the starter had failed). We called the Stillwater boat club and 1hour and 45 minutes later they arrived with a different pontoon boat. Now, I could name the young man who brought the pontoon boat down for us but I don't want to get too personal. I just want to say that we were told, by the fore mentioned young man, that there would be a discount on the fuel and the rental to make up for our time marooned. Here is what we received: An approximate discount on fuel of $10 and a promised $50 discount on the next $490 pontoon rental (gas included). Moral of the story: If you would like to give up 20% of your time on a pontoon and receive a credit for that loss of enjoyment of 10%, go to the Stillwater Boat Club and Rentals. -John C.

Buffet is tasty and plentiful. The ramp is a little steep if you have walking issues and the boat (Avalon) has three tiers so you will need to climb steps. I purchased tickets a day in advance just in case they filled up quickly. I purchased 2 adults and 1 child ticket. My son was so stoked to go on his first trolley ride (he's 6). We got a huge surprise when we pulled up to pick up our tickets and my son's local school bus driver (Terry) was going to be driving and giving us the tour today! Yay! What a treat! We got great seats on one of their brand new trolleys. Terry drove us around downtown Stillwater very carefully and we learned lots about this amazing lumber hub back in the day. We also got to drive by some historic and beautiful houses in Stillwater (north and south hills) with amazing views. We had a blast and I would highly recommend this as a great tour if you want to learn about the birthplace of Minnesota and take a break from walking Main Street. They also have some seasonal and other trolley offerings like princess story time or another seasonal spooky tour in October. Check it out!

We spent an unforgettable 10 days hiking the (express!) Inca trail to Machu Picchu and visiting Lima, The Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes and Cusco. My husband and I usually handle all of our own travel planning, but when we came across Knowmad while researching how to visit Machu Picchu we realized we would probably get a lot more out of a trip to Peru traveling with specialists from the country. Another highlight was our e-bike ride through the Sacred Valley with our awesome guide Kirvi, who was so kind and on top of making sure we were safe and even getting some awesome photos and videos along the way. Our driver Abraham made us feel so welcome and kept us moving along and safe throughout our trip. The restaurants and hotels Knowmad arranged for us were excellent, and our picnic in the Sacred Valley and Pachamanca experience were unbelievable.
