Johanna was either going to make this an amazing experience or brake it for me. As soon as I walked in Johanna greeted me with a friendly warm smile. Right away making me feel comfortable and relaxed. She asked me if I had ever been waxed before and made sure she explained in detail what I should expect. Made sure I understood this was my body and if at anytime I decided not to proceed to just let her know. She went over basic breathing exercises and I won't lie as comfortable as she made me feel, I was still terrified. After she pulled the 1st strip the process went nice and smooth. I will definitely be back, I definitely recommend everyone to see Johanna, specially for all those who have never been wax and are terrified. Your 1st time should always be with a person who take their time to make sure you are as comfortable as possible and provide you with all the information you need during and after the process. Chelsey!! Chelsey!! Chelsey!!…read more Ok -- So, the phrase "Oh, Sweet Baby Jesus!" went thru my head more than once during my one-hour signature facial with Chelsey. I got the works on my face, which started with a brow and lip wax. She was all up on me, making sure to get every little unwanted hair. Amazing! Yes! We chatted thru the waxing, having a good 'ole time. Ripping out someone's unwanted facial hair and being paid to do it is always so much fun, I'm sure! Once she was done, it was time to relax. As soon as those lights turned off and my eyes closed, all talking ceased. Chelsey and I have been friends for a while, but I loved that she let me relax while she did her thing. No talking! Huge plus! She used this tool thing that vibrated-massaged my face all while exfoliating. I've never experienced that before and it was awesome. She uses Dermalogica products. I have had facials before where I left still feeling like my skin was clogged and heavy. This was the first facial in a long time where my skin really felt deep-cleaned and detoxed, which is what my goal was. I have sensitive skin. During previous facials, estheticians have used products that burned or stung my skin when applied. None of these products did that, even after being waxed. The only thing I smelled in the product was a hint of roses. It's been about 3hrs and my skin still feels moisturized but lite; not super greasy or heavy. And soft!!!!! Massage! All together now: Oh, Sweet Baby Jesus! The massage! She massaged my face, neck, hands, arms, shoulders, upper chest, upper back, head -- I think I drooled a little. I loved that it was so quiet in the salon! Maybe because I was the only customer there at the time, but I didn't really hear anything other than the music and whir of the steamer and oils diffuser. Her room was so comfy and relaxing! Smelled like lavender and soft roses. Heated bed. Blankets. Fireplace heater. Sigh! Yes, I have my next appointment booked already. Bathroom: Clean and tidy, as it should be! Total spa experience, complete with rocks in the sink and super soft paper towels. Thank you, Chelsey, for an amazing relaxing experience!
