Whenever we'd describe a behavior to Karen, she could quickly analyze and explain what was going on in Magnus' head. Furthermore, she would instruct us on exactly how to handle the situation in great detail, and she would follow this up with drills to ingrain the right reaction by the owner with very close attention to the fundamentals of dog-to-human communication: voice inflection, pitch and tone; body language, movement, hand placement, grip; cues to reward and commands to help enact a particular behavior. Karen even has an unending offering of tips and tricks to wear your pup out, redirect its attention, etc., even how to teach your furry friend how to disentangle itself from its leash - she taught Magnus in less than five minutes, which was pretty incredible! But when I got Boomer, I was determined to do it right and get him trained really well. I tried a group class and we just didn't get very good one-on-one attention and I felt it was just really generic and not for me. Lots of advice like, "You HAVE to eat your dinner before you let your dog eat." and "Never let your dog on your furniture." First of all, I'm not going to feed my dog at 8 or 9pm after I eat dinner. That's ridiculous. I have a set feeding schedule for Boomer and I don't really think he's feeling all superior because he eats at 6pm and I eat an hour later. Anyway, my daycare and groomer - Woof's - recommended Jenny. She came to my condo downtown and worked with us on not only good behavior, but with issues that were specific to our living situation: riding in elevators, being confronted with other dogs in the lobby and outside, being polite around other people, etc. She gives you the tools to teach your dog how to be a Canine Good Citizen. And she gives you great advice specific to your needs. It's all very focused on positive reinforcement. She'll travel to you or wherever you want to train and her prices were about the same as the group class I had to drive to and I got so much more out of training with her. She loves dogs and she loves training and it shows. Give her a call, you won't regret it!

Even though it was only a partial groom, I was charged for a complete groom. In addition, I was also charged an upcharge as supposedly a second groomer was needed to hold him. I was never told there was a potential for an upcharge even though I made it explicitly clear both when I made the appointment AND when I dropped him off that he could be difficult. I was charged $70.00 for a groom that left my dog looking ridiculous. When I questioned being charged for a complete groom even though his underside and head and face were not groomed, the groomer said "well I did spend 45 minutes on him". That, in my opinion, is unacceptable. I was not opposed to paying some for the groom, but being charged for a full groom is ludicrous, especially for the groom that my dog received. I cannot recommend this grooming establishment.

I told staff and they pulled her by her leash to a kennel. I told the staff my puppy has separation anxiety and does not like being in a kennel. The staff person said so you just want to come get her right away or what . When I picked up my puppy staff was just as rude and the hair cut my dog got was not good . Her brows are just about completely gone. The did a bad job ! I could go one.. I will not be back.
