And then there were servers carrying around trays of various delicious appetizers. I sampled several of the appetizers and not one of them was disappointing. This was the best volunteer appreciation event I've attended (for this particular organization), and I was pleased to hear that Savor Catering has such a good story - helping women get back on their feet. Many of my family members are from Zacatecas & they said this food reminded them of home! First off, I had an early morning party following my son's baptism. They were not only able to accommodate my hours, but also adjusted to some unusual (set up) requests. I called them to coordinate everything ahead of time and they worked with me 100% no questions asked! On the day of our event, it was pouring rain. It did not interrupt their professionalism or flexibility. As soon as the guests arrived, they were ready to serve! The food did not disappoint!! Many guests never had gorditas, but they loved them so much they were going back for 2nd & 3rds! Many in my family don't like meat, so they only ordered chorizo con papas and they were obsessed! My meat lovers absolutely raved about the carne de puerco con chile rojo. Everyone also loved the pina & horchata aguas. The pina was not too sweet, and the horchata was not sugared down. Many told me that it was the best pina & horchata aguas they've had! Eva made us gorditas (what was left) before she departed, but before the party was over, all the food was gone!!!
