This HomeGoods feels small. It feels quite a bit smaller than Castleton, though it's interior design is quite similar. I must admit that I have mixed feeling about HomeGoods. There's no denying the good prices on home decor and necessities, however, the shopping experience is almost universally a mid-range experience for me. I sure don't consider it wheelchair friendly, though it meets ADA (which is a bare minimum standard). There's accessible parking out front. The doors are automatic and easily workable. That's really where accessibility ends. The carts are outside the store, a bit of a hassle. The store has fairly narrow aisles and is incredibly cluttered. While I realize not every store is made for a relaxed shopping experience, I've always felt like I spend more in the places where I feel comfortable. I don't feel comfortable here and had at least five aisles I couldn't access in my wheelchair either because of other people, employees, or items blocking the path. I found the selection here paltry at best. Every item I looked at, I ended up finding a handful of options. I found nothing I wanted and was incredibly disappointed with the selection - yes, the prices were good on those items. The service lines are always long here and employees pace themselves as if they're still learning how to do the job. The employees are more functional than friendly. There's literally nothing that makes me want to return. That said, I can't say it was awful. It wasn't. It was just average. The prices are good. The layout is easy to understand. It works. I just think it could be so much better. I left quickly. I left without purchasing. I can't fathom a reason to return.

Boxes and clothes baskets accepted. 2) Expect to pay more for purchases and get less for your items. 3) Need to leave vintage( although site says vintage) items out. Only want items 1-3 yrs old. 4) Do call before you take stuff in because they are now limited on storage and ask for what seasonal items they can handle. Tired of carrying stuff back. Requires a second trip. 5) Alternative to selling items is to take them is using Good Will. They provide with a receipt to put a value on your donation to be used as tax deduction. If in good condition I put 30-50 percent of original price. Plus they educate and provide jobs to handicap people who otherwise could not work. Fulfills my helping others needs. 6) If they are that over-crowded on space that they can not take all seasons they need to be giving excess to the area womens shelters.

I think I found one pair for under $20. I am sorry, but I am not ok spending that much on used blue jeans. So I passed. I did look in active wear, the prices were a bit better, but not by much. I get that the store is trying to make money. For me, if I am going to pay that much. I will just spring for the new version. $20-$35 dollars for used blue jeans is ridiculous. Like I said, I wanted to support local. At this point I am looking at other options. Online, picking through goodwill, or waiting a bit and saving for brand new. As far as service goes. With today's technology, I don't understand why website's are constantly wrong about stuff being in their brick and mortar stores. I was able to find one of my favorite fun size bags of candy that I had been looking for. Grocery stores have really been gutted on a lot of items lately. Now I am finding that other types of stores are having much more stock available. This store seemed to be about 60% to 70% full of grocery items.

My main reason for running around in this bitter cold is to add more greenery, maybe some new artwork (looking for botanicals), and maybe some new throw pillows for additional accent colors. The prices are reasonable, so I can afford to replace smaller accent items when I tire of them. I'd never been in this location and was impressed with how clean and orderly it was. The layout was a little different from what I've come to expect from most other Goodwill locations, but the store felt large. I always visit the books first and I wasn't too impressed with their offerings. Not to mention how expensive they all are. They did, however, have a very large collections of vinyl records. There were a few items of interest, for me, in housewares. But again, the pricing really seemed rather high for secondhand items. During check-out, the associate helping us could barely complete the transaction for being in the middle of the conversation that Angel and another associate were having. He (Veon) wasn't rude, but I was left standing and staring while waiting for him to proceed with my transaction.
