Unfortunately both my sister and I have flat feet. We share the same podiatrist, Dr. Patel, and she recommends Lady Sport to get supportive shoes for our needs. We were last here over 2 years ago and had a great experience so decided to make the trek again to get more pairs of shoes. We were immediately greeted by Phil and were taken care of from step one to end step. He took the time to listen to our wants and balanced it with our needs. The customer service here is top notch in normal times and even now during Covid. I was only planning to get one pair of shoes but ended up walking out with two pairs. My sister bought one pair of shoes but got up sold to also buy two pairs of additional insoles. The employees here are the best and make a stressful shopping situation an easy experience. Highly recommend everyone going here (not just Ladies!) and will continue to making the trek here. read more

Yesterday I returned a pair of runners that I purchased 6 months ago at Lady Sport. They were a high quality runner where the soles were starting to peel off the shoe. They were extremely dangerous to wear and needed to be replaced. With no questions asked, I got amazing service in order to replace the damaged shoes. I tried on numerous brands of runners until I got a good fit. I was able to walk around the store, go out on the sidewalk to try out the shoes. I left the store with a new pair of runners. I felt very valued as a regular customer and will continue to patronize this store and tell my friends about the great customer service and the wide selection of product. read more

I recently brought my mom in to get some shoes for her newly minted custom medical orthotics. The staff member we interacted with, Eric, is one of the nicest people I've ever dealt with in any retail setting. He was super patient with my mom (English is her second language), actually LISTENED to her while she would ask random things & would answer politely every time! He gave her a ton of options to try until she found a pair she loved! Update: We had to come by and change shoe sizes as the original pair were a bit too big. We got stuck in traffic and didn't make it by their 6pm closing time and Eric & the staff there told us they would wait for us!!! Imagine that! And he was just as patient as the first time, helping my mom fit other sizes again and lacing her shoes for her so they would fit perfectly. I seriously recommend this business more than any other if you're a woman looking for active wear. I just wish they sold guys shoes lol (I think they have another location that does tho!) Several years ago, I went to LadySport to purchase a new running bra. Long story short, I had awful service. The classic, I'm standing at the till with a half complete transaction, ready to pay and the phone rings. And instead of ignoring the phone or picking it up and asking the person to hold; the sales associate took that phone call and helped the person on the phone instead of me. I was really angry and should've walked out, but I really needed a new bra. I waited for probably 5 minutes; I didn't say anything, bought the bra, and vowed never to shop at LadySport again. And I haven't. I've bought everywhere but there, over the years. Fast forward to today, approximately 15 min ago. I went to LadySport to pick up my race package for Chilly Chase. Again, I was in need of a running bra. I decided to give LadySport another shot. After looking at the bras for a short period of time, a sales associate helped me pick a couple to try on. Great! She left me at the fitting rooms, telling me to let her know if I needed another size, she would get it for me. Well I needed another size. I stood outside the fitting room for about a minute and nobody was around. I came out into the main area of store by the shoes, looking for someone to help out. A couple of staff looked at me and kept walking. I didn't want to go too far because my purse was in the fitting room. I went back to the fitting room area and waited. I then saw the woman who helped me in the first place. I approached her but didn't realize she was on the phone. I smiled and politely backed off thinking that she'll help me when she's off the phone. Nope. She got off the phone and didn't check to see if I needed something. So I grabbed my purse, phone, bra that didn't fit and walked out to the floor, braless I might add - to find a different size. It fit perfectly. And now I'm buying it somewhere else and again vow to never shop at LadySport again. While I was out on the floor trying to find the correct size, no staff asked if they could help. The service here is beyond excellent. During covid they delivered my shoes to me at home personally. And when another delivery was stolen from my front porch they replaced the boots free of charge. I'm a loyal customer for life! read more

Wow...the customer service for LadySport/ Fitfirst is phenomenal. I called to find a pair of the newest Nike Vaporfly and they didn't have what I was looking for and referred me to their other store Fitfirst in Burnaby. I called and Phil had a pair. I said I was coming from Kits and it would take me about 40 minute to get to the store. He said the store due to Remembrance Day was actually closed but that he would come to the store to meet me so I could try them on. Then, he offered to bring them to the Kitsilano location as he was going to be there the next afternoon to save me the drive. Unbelievable fantastic!! Highly recommended... Lady Sport and Fitfirst. I'm a lady and I love sports, so if you're the same-- you'll most likely find this story very handy indeed. They have over 200 types of brands, shoes, athletic outfits and even stock Orthopedics. How about a 40DD bra, you get the picture. No limitations accepted to working out at this place. Yoga, tennis, running, and other work out gear the place is amazing. Lady Sport has been hit and miss for me. I usually a "hit" when they have one of their sales and I can score a few discounted sport bras but otherwise it tends to be a miss. Prices are pretty high and I can often find better deals across the street at Forerunners although nothing like the deals I get at SportMart. Worth a visit but if it's high price item more worth to do your homework and see if another running locale has it for cheaper. read more

Ladysport is absolutely the best place to go in Vancouver to buy women's athletic shoes. They have experienced knowledgeable staff who take the time to help you find the perfect shoes. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit and have always been very pleased with the service I get at ladysport. I live in East Van but it's worth the drive to west 4th. I won't buy athletic shoes anywhere else. Highly recommended. read more

I am a nurse and have been going to Lady Sport for many years to get a specific runner that fit my feet property. They are always happy to order the runner for me and hold it until I am able to come over from Salt Spring Island to purchase them. One time a friend picked up my runners for me and brought hem over to Salt Spring Island only to discover they were black. Lady Sport said they had no problem with me returning them three months later when I would be in Vancouver again. Another time I wanted to try some hiking books to see if they would work with my old tired nurses feet and they were fine with me taking them home to Salt Spring to wear around the house and possibly return them the next time I was in Vancouver. To me this is superb customer service and why would I want to give me money to a huge company when can I help out a small business. read more

I have always went to one of the big chains to get my running shoes employed by a bunch of 12 year old sales rep that has no idea how to fit a pair of athletic shoes on a person. My chiropractor suggested that I shop for my next pair of walking shoes at Lady Sport to get a knowledgeable and correct fit for my poor flat, high heeled damaged feet. I was not disappointed. The person that helped me was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He asked about my exercise routine, issues or concerns about my feet and carefully selected 4 different types of runners. Asked me to walk down their isles so he can ensure of the right fit and correction. Educated me about the benefits of each pair and why he felt they would help me then let me make my choice. No pressure, no up-selling just very helpful. I didn't find the prices any higher than the large chains such as foot locker, Nike, Sports Check but if they were it wasn't by much (I was there during a sale). Even if the prices were slightly higher I am more than happy to pay out an extra $10 to $20 for knowledgeable, friendly staff and to support a local independent business that still believes in customer service. I felt that I didn't just buy a pair of cute runners but I actually bought a piece of athletic equipment. I don't think think I will ever go back to a big chain store for my runner again. Great selection of sports gear for WOMEN. I was looking for a high impact sports bra and the sales lady there was very helpful in finding what I want. I also got a great deal on a pair of x-training shoes and was helped by the owner. He not only gave me a discount on insoles to make them fit better, he put them back in the shoe for me! Tons of workout clothes, shoes and gadgets, and this place has the best selection of sports bras I've seen in one place, and it's particularly good if you have a larger bust, want a sports bra for your specific cup size, or want something built for high-impact sports. read more

Drove to the store from White Rock to get runners. The associate helped me try on 4-5 pairs. I always have trouble finding good running shoes. One of the pairs worked and I said I would take them. As I was taking them off it looked like they were returns as one shoe had a dirt mark at the little toe area, like someone had worn them and rubbed against something. Also there was dirt or dried mud on the bottom of the shoe and scuff marks. It was clear they had been worn. The associate said that was the only pair in my size and that the dirt was from them being tried on in the store. She said they would clean them up for me. I told her I wasn't interested in paying $170 for used shoes. She then offered 15% off - still a lot for used shoes. I asked her to give me a minute. I googled other places in town that might have them. Then I waited for her to come back to me. She never did, so I left the store. If I had not noticed the condition of the 'new' shoes I would have paid full price for used runners. I was very excited to come to Lady Sport for the first time, but was disappointed with the product and service. I won't shop there again. read more
