Her conversation was bare minimum. I kenneled 3 dogs for 5 days. When I picked the dogs up they were covered in filth and smelled as though they'd been sleeping in feces for five days. I was appalled to have my dogs returned to me like this, as I most definitely did not drop them off like this. The woman returned them and said sorry they will probably need baths. So she was well aware of the condition she was returning my the dogs in. They were so gross I didn't even want them in the vehicle and all of them had to be bathed twice to get all the filth and crust out of their coats. I would expect someone who runs such a facility understand and appreciates that dogs are members of a family and when we leave them we are expecting them to be cared for not neglected, that's what we pay for!!! And if in five days time the dogs could be that disgusting I can not imagine how bad the kennel actually was that they were locked in! I would most definitely not recommend bringing your dog here!! And if you do I wouldn't trust they are being cared for how you would like them to.

Last year when I made a $900 payment to them, they had nothing negative to say. Apparent my meager $140 bill this time didn't buy me as much as some common courtesy. The owner was rude, and made several negative comments about how difficult my dog was to walk (my 110lb girlfriend walks him daily), and how inconvenient it was to treat him with ear drops. Seemed pretty stressed out by the three litters of puppies she was tending prior to their sale...ironically displaying a request for donations for shelter pets with a slogan requesting not to buy dogs while there are shelter pets being out down. In summary, I found the owner to be a jerk and a hypocrite, and the $1000 they've made off my pet in a years time will certainly be the last.

As a busy professional I don't leave many reviews, because my time is limited and valuable. However…read moreon occasion for exceptional people and services I do. Nicole with Paws First is one of these... I was given her contact information from a friend in September 2019 after driving to Iowa for a 5 month old puppy, his name is Hank. I am very OCD about who comes into my home especially when I am not present, and even more so when it comes to caring for my dog. Hank is very loved by my family, he is not just a pet but an investment of myself and resources for my future. It was of high importance to find someone whom would love and care for him the same. I tried doggy day care where Hank was just another dog and number. Sure he had fun, but I noticed Hank was picking up bad habits I would then have to break. I also tried the ROVER app with a previous dog, and encountered a variety of different issues. Finding Nicole reduced a lot of anxiety in my life. Nicole offers a professional, affordable pet care service, and one I have been able to count on. She has an impeccable character, is responsible, reliable and trustworthy. I found comfort immediately after meeting her. She has always followed my directions perfectly, and sent follow up emails with photos after every visit. Until the Covid Crisis I hired Nicole 4 - 5 days a week since October 2019. I recently sent my Hank away for professional dog training where he will be for the next four months. Upon his return I will depend on Nicole's pet care services again. Anyone who's looking for someone to comfortably allow into your home and care for your treasured pets, Nicole of Paws First is just that.

We've been going to Stack's ever since we moved into the area and could not be happier with the quality of sincere care from day one. Yes, a total Friends and Family recommendations.

Then he developed a severe limp and they put him on gabapentin, again we called and repeatedly brought him in for exams and consistently called about him having a problem with the drug not helping him. At this point I insisted on xrays and ultrasound be done, they had us do bloodwork and told us if we paid an extra $89 for an official pancreatitis test that would be definitive diagnosis that would give us the result that we needed. They could not perform an ultrasound so we had to take him to the emergency vet on Bridge Street in a Syracuse. Come to find out our dog did not have pancreatitis as the vet said the blood test revealed but had full pledge lymphoma, (his neck and jaw presented with hard nodules by the ex vet) and we had to put him down. The emergency vet said the blood test that Stacks office gave us for pancreatitis was not a definitive test for that. So which is it? So disgusted with the lack of concern given toward our dog. It wasn't until i insisted on testing because I was concerned of cancer that a closer look was finally given by the Stack Vet. Extremely upset that we had to put our dog down. Think twice about going there. They gouge you for pricing and never addressed his health until i threatened legal action.
