What I did like was that he was structured but will get hella mad for anything............. Also, he doesn't communicate well with other therapists, a therapist of mine that I had at the time bc I was seeing a therapist and taking anger management classes did NOT have successful communication for the first time I tried transferring. Karine saved my life…read more I know this sounds dramatic but if you're really interested in changing your life please read on. I started seeing Karine about 6 years ago when she first opened her private practice. I was in one of the darkest places in my life. I had horrific intrusive thoughts, horrible anxiety, terrible depression and so on. I barely graduated high school because I was scared of being in class. I couldn't go on freeways, I was unmotivated, I thought life was getting pointless and was even having thoughts that nobody should ever have in their life. Prior to Karine I've been to many therapists and a couple of psychiatrists. Now I know there are many great therapists out there but the ones I experienced didn't seem to genuinely care, or they didn't know how to tackle my problem. That was never the case with Karine. Coming to Karine felt (and still does) feel like I'm taking to a family member. She GENUINELY cares about your life. She cries with me, she laughs with me, she remembers every detail of our previous conversations, and she will take your phone calls during the day if you need an extra boost. I started going to Karine as a boy who was scared of life and didn't know where I was headed. I was sure I was going to be "disabled" forever, my mom would complain that I didn't even have $2 to go to Taco Bell. It was a lot of work, and there where a lot of good and bad moments on my journey but now I'm a changed man. I have my own career, make over 6 figures, know how to deal with my emotions, and I even took a trip to Hawaii recently!! To give you an idea just thinking about driving in the freeway terrified me. I first saw Lynne in 2004. I couldn't leave the house. I had suffered from anxiety for most of my…read morelife, but when perimenopause hit, I was a mess. Lynne saved my life! The exposure assignments she had me do empowered me. She had me yell at my anxiety and realize I have a choice to live with it or conquer it. Lynne is brilliant. She is highly trained in anxiety and panic disorder. She knows her stuff. I remember her telling me because I would ask her all the time, do you think I'll ever be normal again and be able to do things and she would say yes if you do the work. Lynne also helped me by communicating with my psychiatrist on what meds were working, and which ones were not. She helped me alleviate my fear to use anxiety meds through this difficult part of my life and not be scared of them. Even when we were doing telemedicine, I was still able to put myself in a place and imagine a scenario in my head where I had to deal with my fears. I just felt so safe and trusting with her. Lynne saved my life, I will always be grateful to her. I still have panic attacks once in a great while, but the tools Lynne left me with help me fight them and they don't escalate.
