Another man approached and started knocking on the door and looking inside. A lady came from behind the back and let him in the store and left me outside. She barely spoke 2 words to me. When I asked what was going on and if they were closed, she pointed to the sign on the door. I don't know if it's a language barrier or what, but I have never been treated with such utter disregard in my life and I am baffled that any company offering a service would treat any potential customer this way. I trusted they were done because it was an inside stitching that I wanted around existing torns from the jeans knee area that I wanted to prevent from getting worse. After a few weeks realized one of the jeans was fixed and the other wasn't even touched even though I paid for both Jean repairs. Also, the only one that did get fixed was also coming apart so I decided to bring them both again for the help. Not only did they denied that they had even worked on them (in a way just flat out calling me a liar) They insisted in charging me everything all over again. When I obviously refused but even met half way by asking for at least a discount, they totally denied helping me completely. The manager was simply the rudest asking me to leave without wanting to listen to what I had to say. He basically said, nothing will be done, you can go. Not once was I rude, or raised my voice. At all times I was cordial, just asking for some type of consideration and trust. I would never lie. It's a jean repair for gods sake! I Even asked them to check on their records from the past so they will see that the job was done on their location.. They obviously denied because they have no system and no way of checking anything from before. This will be my first bad review I ever post in my life. I believe that if you have nothing nice to say, it's better to not say anything at all... But honestly I was humiliated and called a liar... by some irresponsible and dishonest people and I won't take it. Mostly to prevent other people to go thru what I just had to experience. Ruined new tuxedo jacket ($1,200 purchase price), refused to pay for proper fix. Do not do…read morebusiness with this company, at any price. Jacket came back with rubber sticker affixed to damaged lining in the middle of jacket. Catalonia owners claimed, in this order: 1.that they didn't do it, 2. that the rubber sticker is associated with Brooks Brothers clothing 3. that the rubber sticker came from somewhere, just not them and 4. their limit of compensation is up 10x cost to clean, so $120. So, I sent the image to ChatGPT: "rubber sticker with trident symbol indicative of those used by high volume cleaners to track items. White stain around sticker demonstrates damage caused by chemicals in an attempt to lift stain from lining. Consult professional tailor in person for advice on proper fix, most likely a replacement of lining.". So I showed damaged jacket to a local tailor, agreed jacket needed new lining and found out cost to replace lining would be $250. Then met with Catalonia owner and asked for $250 reimbursement cost. They offered a $50 credit on future cleaning Their rationale? They had a seamstress that could "fix" the damage for $50. Didn't define fix. Why would I trust Catalonia to "fix" a tuxedo jacket that they ruined in the first place, with their seamstress (not a tailor) or accept their other alternative: a $50 credit on future cleaning with Catalonia? Why, so they can ruin more of my clothes and then claim it's no fault of theirs and not pay to properly fix it? I'm not insane. So, do yourself a favor and avoid Catalonia Ckeaners at any price. You'll be happy you did.
