This past April 2025 I had Pool & Spa (LP&S) remodeled my Pool Waterfall, Spa & Pool tile. I am so happy I cho se LP&S instead of the two other companies I got quotes from that were not trustworthy. Dewey Forte of LP&S quoted my job. He listened to what I needed and bid accd. to that. He had no problem running my project thru the HOA. The quote was very clear, detailed in project steps and payment schedule. And relative to the project scope the price was reasonable. Stayed in communication thru out the job, and made sure everything was completed as quoted. And all the office and LP&S workers were outstanding. Shannon responded to my questions and was always ready to help. Scott, Mike... the tilers- all of the support team were personable, responsible, respectful of property and a pleasure to interact with. I could not end my review without saying that Juan, the Waterfall remodeler was a true artisan. Wow! Really he rebuilt, sealed, painted and modeled the material to look like real rocks and so that the waterfall flow perform much better. It's beautiful. Hi first of all their customer service is horrible. I took photos of spa and fire pit they did for almost 2 years. My pool is only 4 years old and warranty expired in July of 2024. They kept telling me oh we will send a work order in to get it all fixed . That never happened. So now I'm already having a spa renovation by an awesome company that thrives on great workmanship. So never heard back or got the fire pit fixed or the tile on the spa that was chipping and falling off. It's costing my $7000.00. . Laguna should have owned up and chose not to. I would never recommend them to anyone. Never thought this would happen to me. I had a pool in California for 26 years and nothing was wrong because the workmanship was great. This is awful. Laguna asks people with bad reviews to post their personal info publicly, including name and contract. They haven't asked anyone with a good review for this info. Isn't that a little odd to you? And they don't care about fixing the problems or they'd say "oh I'm so sorry! email me at XXX or text me at XXX and we will fix this!" Instead they write a response that validates all of the bad reviews. Amazing. Well done Laguna. Thanks for doing what I think proves they are dishonest and may even try to intimidate customers who say anything bad. My guess is the good reviews are fake, and isn't the "post your personal info publicly" the only reason that you need to avoid them. Are they threatening or intimidating unhappy clients??? This is another reason to avoid the company since they are only validating all the bad reviews. I included photographs of the header of a Laguna document to cut through their BS since yes unfortunately I was a customer. I wish I wasn't. Again, can't leave NEGATIVE stars or I would. Dig a hole in your back yard and just throw your money in it. THAT would be more useful than using this company. After over a YEAR of trying to get calcium nodules (there was only ONE when I first contacted them, there's now EIGHT!) and cracks in our plaster fixed, I finally had to show up at their office before the owner graced me with a phone call. He then sent his right hand man out with a crinkled, used water bottle to take a water sample. As he's taking it, he says they're not calcium nodules but they're black mold. He said we would need a chlorine wash to fix it. (We had just done a chlorine wash 2 days prior!). Then, we get an email basically blaming us for "neglecting" our pool! A pool we have serviced weekly. After my understandably frustrated wife called them back, the owner tells her, because she's demanding they fix THEIR shoddy work and threatening complaints to the Contractor's Board, that SHE has a "sh&@ty attitude!" What a PROFESSIONAL!! What CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Again, dig a hole and fill it with your hose before giving these scam artists your money!! read more

It's not worth boring you with the laundry list of stuff they did wrong, but I do challenge you to the 2-3 part test below. Not only is the quality horrible across the board, but the owner is obnoxious and, they drag the project on forever by having 1-2 guys show up a few hours a week. Most importantly, you can't trust anything they say - and I can prove it to you with this simple test: 1. Ask Laguna to come over and measure for a project 2. Check their measurements - they will WAY overestimate to gouge you. Maybe all their tape measures are broken? 3. If you are foolish enough to hire them, check the actual measurements at the end of the project against what's delivered. Again, it won't be close - you'll be overpaying. There is a word for his by the way, which is defined as "wrongful deception intended to result in financial or personal gain" - the word is FRAUD! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED My additional offer: I'd love to visit a customer who thinks they did a good job. I'd bet you $1,000 I'll find ways they either grossly overcharged you or made amateur mistakes that will cost you down the road. read more

WORST COMPANY EVER. After only 2 months old our pool started showing some very bad plaster issues. It's not just a color issue, the plaster is porous and the iron black underneath is showing.. they never took responsibilities in any way, blocking my phone number so i cant reach them. We Love our Laguna Pool and Spa!! This was our first pool build and I was very nervous going into the process. You hear so many stories about how long it takes and how many problems people have with pool builds. My wife and I reached out to 5 different pool companies and after a weeks of searching and discussion Laguna had the best design. I give 5 starts to Bill Selman and his design. Bill really listened to what we wanted and took our vision and his creativity and designed an oasis to fit into our 1,400 square foot dirt lot. Bill added some very cool concepts that really make our pool different and unique. Bill was professional, prepared and always made himself available during the entire process. We give 4 stars to the build process though. It was a little lengthy and some phases we had some problems. However, problems will occur in a big project. It's how Laguna handled them and responded which make them a good company. We had several issues with the fire pit phase but in the end it was corrected and now it looks great. Vidal was great! He was on site weekly to walk through and explain all the work being done. He also had some great advise on additions and changes to make so the pool would look better as well as save us money in the long run. The big one was adding the artistic pavers all around the pool to make it cooler and less problematic down the road. The Office staff (Shannan) was awesome. They were always friendly and updated us on all the different time frames during the build. There were no surprises with the costs and when payment was due. Only areas that may need work is communicating more on what to expect especially for fist timers like us. For instance we didn't not know we had to water down the pool everyday for a week after shotcrete and unfortunately that happened to be the same week we were out of town. Also we are still waiting for a few items to be corrected that we had pointed out on our walk through. Overall, we would highly recommend Laguna and would use them again. read more

Terrible oversight and top level management. Owner treated us poorly because we "only" were a $45k job. Crew chiefs were completely clueless about the scope of the job and abysmal at communication even though the guys doing the work were exemplary (they're the only thing that saved this review from being one star). Design was great but we had to spend over $5k to fix problems left afterwards & we STILL have ongoing problems - specifically created by this company - over 2 years later. If there were negative stars, Laguna & the owner Dewey would deserve them. He is unprofessional and does not care about customer service or service after the sale. They did a remodel on our pool in 2013 to the tune of $30.000. It went ok, not great but it wasn't enough to compel me to write a review either way. Work was mostly good, but customer service throughout the process & follow-up on warranty items was horrible so it kinda balanced out. Fast forward to May 2017 and I need some repairs done (2 on work they did & 1 not). This is NOT warranty work....I'd be a paying customer. Was told to email them, which I did and after that was unable to get anybody to call me back to get the work scheduled. I got sidetracked by other priorities and gave up repeatedly calling them to beg them to take my money since none of it was a "critical" repair....more aesthetics. So this summer (2018), I started again with Laguna and got as far as getting a quote from them for just the leaky wok pots (already had the other stuff repaired by companies that actually call you back!!) so thought we'd be moving along...YAY. NOPE!!!! I thought wrong. Ever since the quote, have been unable to get a return call or get the work scheduled. Called yesterday (5/30) and left my final message requesting a callback to let me know if we were moving along/were the pots ordered or if they don't want the work to just let me know that and I'd look elsewhere, that's fine. Just fergawdsake, somebody call a girl back already. But to ignore people is completely unprofessional!!! If you can tolerate zero customer service and being completely ignored by a company after the sale, go with Laguna. read more

Laguna wasn't my first choice to construct my backyard Spool (Spa & Small pool), neither could they claim 100% of the credit because of contribution of mine and my friend designer, but it turned out they are the right choice for the job. It is probably the largest pool construction company in LV, once I got foot at its door. The construction composed of layers of teams and each has its own team leader and their scheduling are truly in harmony. But being big always comes with different personalities and some of whom may not have discharged their responsibility reliably, some of the hiccup was distressful otherwise they truly deserve 5 stars. This is not the first pool I have built, but in the future I will look for Bill Selman again, who did my design and first point person with marvelous sense of responsibility, Dewy is the owner whom I have not met, but you sensed his presence all the time. Except one employee I think he know his team well enough to hire them. Army, Shannon, Scot ,James are all good people whom I owed appreciation. The end product as you can see in the photo is something of the proud highlight of my backyard, something I enjoy with water falls and lighting daily. It is not a minor undertaking project, and it comes with big cost ( not like my first one, 50% less but that was also 30 years ago), any one wants to do a pool must have all the options determined at the get go, and don't try to change order. Unresponsive company they won't take responsibility of their bad work, no customer service. .. unreliable unprofessional

I will break down this review into a few sections so as to make it easier to understand DESIGN We met with Damon at their office to discuss and design our landscape project. The major problem on this phase is that Damon does not always listen to customer requests. We have 2 pergolas on our home and wanted to get one replaced with a solid patio cover so it would enable us to sit outside and not get sunburned or rained on. The end result was Laguna replaced our pergola which was perfectly fine with another aluminum pergola instead of a solid patio roof. After many conversations, Dewey, (the owner) said that what was in the contract and that is what we are getting. Not being satisfied with that response, I was forced to pay an additional fee to get what we wanted. The original workmanship on this roof by a subcontractor was HORRIBLE. It took another negotiation and 7 months of no responses to finally get an acceptable product. All of this could have been avoided if Damon had listened to what we wanted and used a little common sense. We also replaced some grass with artificial turf. The product and installation was fine. The problem was the Damon failed to tell us that if we took a picture of the grass before it was replaced, Southern Nevada Water would have paid us 3.00 per square foot towards our project cost. That would have been a savings of $750.00 for us. When I told Dewey about this, his response was "he should have told you". However, there was no offer to compensate us for this loss by Laguna. INSTALLATION The general installation of the landscaping part of the project was fine other than the excessive charge for the dumpsters and the lighting. There was an issue with damage to our existing pavers by Laguna because of excessive weight of the wheelbarrows of rock that was being placed as part of our project. Dewey said the paver were fifteen years old and erosion was the problem and they would not repair, replace or compensate for the damage. It was funny that erosion only took place on the pavers underneath the wheelbarrows. Everyone should make a profit on their goods and services, but as I was told a long time ago, "the bulls and the bears make money and the pigs get slaughtered" POOL RETILING AND REFINISHING This wok was done by a subcontractor and was fine. Only problem was the directions from Laguna on the care need in the days following that needed to be done. We did the best we could but we were never advised that we could have hired a service to insure it was done to perfection. We also had to call them out on some sloppy work on our hot tub retiling around the drain. Until we inspected this area it looked like a child did this work instead of professional pool company. COMMUNICATION In a word HORRIBLE! Every area of communication took days or weeks or even months to get a response. The only area that was very timely was their accounting division who sent bills within minutes of a portion of the job being completed. Pictures of deficiencies were requested and sent to Laguna, phone calls, texts and emails were sent as well without timely response. WARRANTY We had a large percentage of our shrubs and 3 trees that did not do well and had to be replaced. We tried to address this problem before we left town for the summer, but the lack of communication by Laguna did not allow this problem to be addressed. The end result was that Dewey agreed to replace shrubs with a lesser priced product than was originally paid for and required us to purchase the trees that did not survive. They claimed they were out of warranty, however with good communication this could have been avoided. In closing, this was an $85,000 job that had too much drama and problems that would allow me to give this company a positive review. Our experience showed us that Customer Service is not a part of Laguna Pool and Spa Mission Statement. I cannot recommend Laguna Pool and Spa. read more

October 2022. My pool is only 2 years old.. A leak occured this mid summer with pentair pool equipment. Slabs under it moving into the ground creating pressure on the pipes. This forced me to keep the pool off for few days waiting for laguna to fix it it took them 7 weeks, water got green neighbors called the city police came so I ended up emptying the pool! We got three price quotes from three different companies to transform our desert, dirt-filled yard into a backyard oasis. Our vision included a pool, spa, waterfalls, turf, plants, flowers, rocks and trees. Laguna was the middle price, but by far the most professional. Terrence gets you started with a 3D computer design that allows you to visualize your completed yard in full color detail. He's experienced and knowledgeable and doesn't make you feel bad when you ask him to make changes. George oversees the actual step-by-step construction of the pool and makes sure that everything is up to code and will pass inspection in an efficient and timely manner. Adam takes you to the nursery to hand select your plants, flowers and trees. Then he oversees that the landscaping actually looks like the design that was agreed upon. Doug swoops in at the end to ensure that the house is safely child-proofed, the pool gets filled with water, and that the lights, jets, waterfalls and app are all working properly. All of the construction took exactly 9 weeks from start to finish! They delivered on time and on budget. They cleaned up their messes and repaired any damages done to get the equipment in the yard. I truly feel that we made the best decision in choosing to go with Laguna Pools. read more
