This is our second pool built by Vintage and the construction and quality of the work is superb. Gary, the owner, uses only the best sub contractors. Every contractor that came into our yard was knowledgeable, hardworking, and polite. They were available to answer any questions and made sure they cleaned up before they left. We were told that the pool would be completed in 120 days and it was, even with delays because of weather. Once construction started we dealt with Teri, the scheduling manager, and Jon the supervisor who oversaw the construction of the pool and kept us informed of the process from start to finish. Teri is a gem; she schedules all the workers and lets you know when they will be in your yard. She is there to answer any and all questions. Jon is the person that makes everything work. He comes after each step of the pool construction is done and frequently visits to make sure you are up to speed on the process. His job does not end once the pool is complete he continues to visit and make sure you understand the operation and your responsibility as a pool owner. Jon explains everything in detail. A word of caution, whether you use Vintage or another company, make sure before signing the contract that in the plan design that all inspection codes are met or will need to meet in order to pass final inspection. You will then know if you will have additional financial responsibility. Finally as a pool buyer please understand that all the pool builders in the valley are using the same contractors so delays because of weather etc, are inevitable. Be patient. Please choose any other company besides Vintage Pools. We had numerous issues - mostly poor communication & overall quality; however, our biggest issue is the concrete. Within a month of our pool completion, the decking began to bubble, flake, tear. Contacted Vidal multiple times; he blamed it on our pool water or our pool guy, then sent his guys out to patch it up (done poorly, texture didn't match). Within days it started to bubble again. In fact, we are now on year 3 of continuous decking issues. The decking has NEVER been acceptable, we just get busy & tired of begging Vidal to stand by his work. Communication with Vidal is exhausting; I have the text to prove it. Finally we decided to get advice from other concrete companies. Both companies immediately identified the concrete as bad; likely mixed improperly or expired when it was installed. (Interesting how 2 separate companies diagnosed bad concrete immediately, whereas Vidal blamed it on pool water?!? I believe he knew it was bad all along, just was hoping we didn't ever find out.) We received quotes between $5,000-$15,000 to repair what Vidal & Vintage did. When I reached out to Vidal again, he offered to fix it.....at my expense. How generous of him to charge me for concrete twice. No thank you. I do not trust him or his work ethic. At this point, the concrete is in such bad condition that it's becoming a fall/ foot injury risk. The flaking decking is sharp, the underneath concrete is slippery when wet. Despite another year passing and yet another update, the lien on our property remains unresolved- even though it was paid in full to Vintage on September 27, 2023. Meanwhile, Vidal claims resolution is imminent. But here we are, with zero progress to show for it. We did more forward with another formal complaint to the NV state contractor board. However, the dishonesty is persistent and exhausting. If Vintage were truly taking responsibility, we would've received the discharge papers weeks ago or at least honest communication. Highly recommend any other company. Pool contract was started in 2023 and has never been completed even after they were required to complete it and fix things per the Contractors Board Notice to Correct. Due to a continuous leak on a raised side of the pool, because of poor construction, the steps nearby have sunk and now retain water. There are also numerous bolts to the hand rails and other pool fixtures rusting since first installed. They also misaligned a cleaning head which has become a tripping hazard by the pool steps. They also don't pay their subcontractors on time which has led to numerous liens on homes since Vintage Pools states the owners have not paid them, which is a lie. read more

We contracted with Vidal and Vintage Pools to build a 10x20 pool. The price was around $46,000. The build quality is excellent, tile work is great, decking is good but 1 more drain channel would be better,plumbing and electrical all works as expected. 3 star average is accurate. You will get your pool, but the experience along the way will be bumpy and unpleasant. Vidal is hot and cold. Some days he delivers great service and is pleasant to work with, but other days not so much. When you have bumps along the way, prepare to be treated like you the customer are the problem, instead of him taking accountability and reassuring you that he'll fix it. It will be an argument to get things fixed. Everything is sub contracted out which is why they have so many issues. They don't know the crew coming to your house, or the work they do. Here were my 4 main issues I experienced: 1. Design of my yard did not match approved rendering. I declined initial rendering, wanting more grass. Vidal sent a new updated rendering which I approved. Well, final product is here and they designed my yard off of the initial rendering I declined. I brought up my concerns to him on day 1 & was dismissed "trust the process". Product completed & I was right. They build my yard off the wrong rendering. Brought this to Vidal's attention. No apology. No accountability. He was so rude. Told me my design was not possible. Maybe so but that should have been communicated to me ahead of time and not just done without my permission. We did eventually come to an agreement and I am happy with this now, but I was not happy with the customer service leading up. 2. Concrete company was a total mess, trashed our neighborhood streets. Concrete poured all over a tree trunk in my front yard. Tree will likely die. Plus a huge spill - concrete poured out the back of the truck all over the streets as they drove out of our community. HOA and one of my neighbors were furious. Uncomfortable for us. Took a long time to get cleaned up. Later received certified letter from concrete company that they'd placed a lien on our home due to non payment from Vintage. I guess Vintage wasn't happy with the concrete guys either so they withheld payment, which resulted in the lien. Fixed now aside from my poor tree in my front yard. Vidal confirmed today 8/13/24 that he has no plans to do anything about our tree. 3. Pool light was not installed correctly. Seal is faulty. Water filled the pool light on day one of adding water to our pool. I brought this up to Vidal immediately, he said it's a warranty issue. Our pool construction still wasn't even complete, and it was an issue day one so it's clearly not a warranty issue. Just wasn't installed correctly. Pool light doesn't work at all. Took 45+ days to fix. The warranty company spoke very poorly of Vintage Pools when they came to our home. So their reputation is clearly notorious even with their partners. 4. Tile. Had a dispute over the tile design. Our rendering had a tile accent on the stairs, but apparently our contract did not include this. Vidal agreed to add it. Send his tile guy back out. Drained the pool and he added the tile strip but it was done so poorly. He left huge cuts in our pool foundation that were sharp and rigid. There's no way he missed them. They were huge. We brought this to Vidal. So tile guy had to come out again to drain the pool and repair the cracks he left. He got most but not all. It's a brand new pool, shouldn't be any cracks. Vidal again is treating us like we are the nuisance when the reality is he's got bad crews and there's just no quality control Like I said - you will get a pool and for that you will be happy. But prepare yourself for a drawn out process and to be treated like you're the problem for simply holding them accountable for your $45k+ investment. Final items to note: their office phone will be out of service periodically. A large pool loan company would not write new business with vintage because they had too many customer complaints with them. We got approved, but not with them specifically. Getting pool built in my backyard has been a drastically disaster with Vintage pools. When I thought this should be an exciting happy experience it wasn't. I have had mess and trash thrown all over yard lunch bags from every fast food was all over yard . Water bottles and all drink containers. My yard was trashed daily when building it since day 1. The other contractors for rocks . Cement, plumbing etc. stole my previous landscaping and bricks out of my yard. I have had a lien put on my home for cemetery that was paid in full to Vintage pools. And they didn't pay company . My home has stucco damage that wasn't repaired. This company doesn't take business serious. Also my heater didn't work when pool was completed. I had to call warranty company the same week pool was completed. My pool is a year old and I have had to call warranty 3 times already for repairs to equipment. The company uses parts that's was bought in bulk from 3-5 years old that are now defective and vintage pools uses old parts on pools when building new pools. And refuse to replace or repair. IF you don't want to go through this please don't use Vintage Pools . I didn't read the reviews on this company and wish I had. All the reviews from customers have the same complaint . So I really tried to give this company a good review. Even when they didn't do good work. I try to help people and yes I should have been honest from the start. But now I was called an asshole because 10 months after the job was done and my jacuzzi jets are still not working. 16 jets only 6 work. Unfortunately I have to go to the contractors board. We had a great experience with Vidal and his team. Vidal showed up on time for our first meeting and presented a beautiful 3D design for our new pool. We are going with Vegas Luxury Package with some upgrades. The package includes most of the items but the standard pool size is smaller than we wanted so we are upgrading the pool size and deck area. Their package is the best deal we could find. They have the nice selections of tiles and other materials you can choose from. There were delays consistently, at one point because they had not paid a bill there was a lien put on my property. Even when the pool was finished there is a crack in the tile work they have not come back to replace, cracks in the pool itself that they have not choose to come out and address and one of the lights has been since the pool was completed in late October early November of last year that they have not fixed. I saw Vintage pool ad on social media site, I contacted company for appointment. I initially was interested in spa due to our family not being big swimmers. Noble came to home Dec 2,2021. He was very courteous, and listened to our ideas. He informed us he would take the paperwork back to office & someone would contact us to come in to discuss pricing/options. I never heard back from anyone at Company. My neighbor built a pool using,BYOP...Build Your Own Pool. I contacted the company they responded immediately gave me everything I needed to start process. Basically you take the middle man out and work with subcontractor directly saving money. I received all my permits, started excavation 20 Jan 2021& by 9 Feb 2022 I started decking. Less than 30 days I'm over halfway complete with pool. I was understanding with December having holidays of communication but we never received any update or quotes. The pool they put in is beautiful, however the sub contractor for pouring concrete is horrible. The concrete around our outdoor kitchen that connects to the pool wall started cracking big time within 3 months of them pouring it. They came back at just smeared some concrete patch over it, and didn't texture it. Within 3 more months it cracked. We can't get anyone at Vintage Pools to call us back and they won't give us the sub contractor so we can call them. We called when it retracted and evert two months for 8 months.. I hear the frustration from some of the reviews. There was a time when I would have written a one star review but here are the facts. My pool was quoted 12 week construction. It turned into 16 weeks. I was so frustrated during the process so I did some research. Turns out that in Vegas there was a 20 fold increase in pool construction in 2018. Problem was the number of crews that do the construction didn't increase. Same number of workers, 20 times the number of pools. In the end Vintage built me an amazing pool. The sub trades they hire are the best of the best. There was minor damage to my property during construction, they repaired it without even questioning it. They even touched up some paint that wasn't construction damage. It was a busy frustrating year for people having pools built. But the team at Vintage is so professional, right from Hank the sales guy to the customer service to the field foreman even the owner were amazing. Yes I wanted my pool 4 weeks earlier but in the end the finished product was more than worth the wait. Thanks team Vintage, great job! read more

Such as promising to remove the aluminum handrails and ladder steps and making a contemporary bench instead, only to later apologize and say "oops that wasn't in the plans," This company fails at communicating when the sub contractors will be coming, even when we the owners are trying to make sure the employees don't meet our unfriendly dogs. Their excuses were constant, "we are just too busy, and if the trades don't give us dates and times they will be available, then we can't provide that information to you the home owner". " We can only track the progress on new builds, remodels are too hard to schedule in advance". What are the customers supposed to do, just call out sick to work, and telling your employer, during the pandemic mind you, sorry my pool contractor needs me at home, so they can work on my pool? It seemed as though Vintage Pools were doing us a favor, whenever we asked for something. Wow, really? Communication with your customers is too hard? Guess you better find a new line of work, if you expect repeat business. The ultimate icing on the cake was Gary Verbano's last communication with my wife. He stated that we had been the most difficult customer to deal with that they ever had. Again, wow. I had read the help reviews about Vintage Pools before we signed our contract, and even though Vintage wasn't the cheapest bid we got, we decided to use them anyway, as we had been referred by a previous client, and because Gary really seemed genuine when we met in person on multiple occasions. I guess because ours was just a 29k remodel, and not a brand new 60k pool, we shouldn't be considered as a valuable customer and offered the same considerations for our time. Zero Stars. This group does none of the pool construction themselves. Their only role is to coordinate other contractors, and manage the construction schedule. In this - they COMPLETELY FAILED. Our contract and deposit was in 12/2017 with a commitment of completing the pool in April 2018. The project sat idle for weeks at a time and only made progress when I came into their office to push for updates. Pool was plastered in July 2018 and repairs/corrections were still being made in August. Worst customer service (office manager - Teri) I have experienced with a contractor in my life. Little to no communication about the status of the project or when schedules were changing. Materials ordered incorrectly, further delaying the project. And now we are in September and my skimmer is still installed 10 degrees out of square - no attempt was made to install it "level". UNETHICAL - FRAUD ALERT - Be careful about their $600 charge for a soils report. I paid this, trustingly, at the start of the project, as it was explained that it was a requirement to obtain the building permit. 8 months later I asked for a copy of the soils report for another construction project I wanted to do at the house. Vintage pools replied - "oh, we checked with the building department and they said it was not required". When were you going to tell me about that?? HORRIBLE COMPANY! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! BUYER BEWARE!! Vintage refused to communicate construction timeline or status but HOUNDS customers for payments before stages of work is even completed. Entire staff is hostile, argumentative and defensive when questioned on any phase of the project. Weeks went by without contact from them. I had to call repeatedly to find out when construction was scheduled. I was told this was their "slow season" so work would be timely. They never bothered to schedule any work unless I called first to ask. Constant employee turnover so there is absolutely no accountability for work schedule, quality or communication. Every time there was a problem, the employees each blame each other or pass the buck to a subcontractor. When Subs were questioned, they said they never heard from Vintage. FACTS: I was sold a $9,800 in pool cleaner then told by Superintendent to "hire a pool guy." I was sold a intelligent pool system to control flow, temperature, lights, etc. from my smartphone, but then told by Superintendent "these never work!" I never was given any instruction on the start up of the pool or any of the components. Then required to pay "1,000+ START UP fee" and threatened repeatedly with liens on my property. I paid more than $53,000 for pool/spa and was completely disrespected and frustrated. When I called the President (Gary Verbano) for help--he never returned my call. After several attempts, when I was able to speak with him, he hung up on me and refused any customer service. Then Gary did take the time to call me back later TO CALL ME A LIAR because he claims to have spoken with his Superintendent who denied everything I told him. Their Superintendent is who gave me the referral for the "Pool Guy" for the start up service! I had to schedule the final phases of the job myself. I am on my own for all issues/questions/concerns. None of the structural or design problems will be fixed. They will not honor the warranty. DO NOT USE VINTAGE POOL for anything. You will regret any interaction with them. Having a pool built is very much like traveling by air. You do research to pick the company you want to work with, build the plan together and work to get to the final destination. Pool company, just as airlines, cannot control the weather. When this factor comes into play and causes delays, it is not the airlines/pilots fault. Thus when the pool companies have to adjust with weather they are in the same situation. Putting blame on those that cannot control these elements does no one any good. In addition, it is very interesting to me to read how people just expect things to be handed to them vs. trying to work their partner on the contract. I really, really did not want to write this review because I think the owner Gary and Hank (designer) seem like great people. But, because of my kids total disappointment about the lack of a pool this summer and lack of reasoning behind what happened here I am. Vintage Pools really stood out to me from the competition as far as feeling like family, trustworthiness, etc so I signed the contract March 12 with deposit paid March 14. They positioned themselves as a smaller company which built quality pools with personal attention which was exactly what I wanted. I never wished to be a random number in the que. The estimated pool completion was stated in the contract as May with an 8-10 week duration (just in time for summer!) This was in line with the schedules given to me by other pool companies. I had no HOA to deal with and was ready to start immediately. After writing the check March 14, I hear nothing, nothing, nothing until week of April 20 when Teri calls me to say permits and drawings are ready. She will send an email with next steps and construction super will call me within 2 days to spray the pool outline. I was already concerned by this point that no one addressed the schedule start delay. I waited a week with no communication (no email from her and no call from super) then called back and spoke with the other front office lady. She confirms my email address is correct, tells me 5 times to 'check my email' (which is so sad looking back because there never was an email! Next time just forward the 'sent email' if you actually send one OK?). She says Teri is having issues with getting the excavation subcontractor to respond, and that she'll put a note on her desk that I called. No communication after this point at all and I come home from airport yesterday ready to obviously cancel this contract to see the excavation subcontractor standing in my driveway with diggers on the way. REALLY? I tell him I had one phone call from this company in 8 weeks and am cancelling because I have no idea what is going on. He tells me he is a back-up subcontractor who only had the engineering drawings for two days and spoke with Hank both the night before and 4am that morning (I'm sure he was lying straight to my face). He seemed shocked that no one from Vintage let me know he would be there. I send him off my property. Teri calls me that morning, apologizing for what happened: subcontractor did not tell Vintage they were coming to my house, she tells me the duration was never going to be 8-10 weeks (even though May was stated in the contract), says they are very busy (probably overwhelmingly from being BEST of LV), and told me she never sent an email to me with any status because there was no update to give (customer service 101 is always communicate regardless!). She talks with owner Gary, and Hank calls me to apologize about everything. Gary offered to 'fast-track' my pool to an 8 week duration from this point and refund me $1k if he does not meet that (July completion for a March contract). I guess the only concession in continuing would be no price increase for me? HA. I politely declined. I'm sure that was actually a gift to them to have one less pool to fall behind on. Hank said the subcontractor had the drawings longer than 2 days and said there was not one good reason for all this. They all seemed united that all this shouldn't have happened but refused to give a specific reason. Why would I want to continue in good faith without a good reason? So in the end, I still do not know what happened, other than my pool contract must have fallen into a black hole, covered with dust, and this company has way too much work which is why they weren't too concerned. The problem is how I feel now because my trust level with this company was high. It might be likened to finding out a significant other is cheating.....with trust barrier completely broken. Now I will need to turn this experience into a lesson for the kids about how in America we trust no one (even those that present themselves as such).
