We have had our pool for just over a year now and I can't say enough good things about the after purchase service! Being a first time pool owner I have had many questions the first year and Scott would always get back to me quickly, even late at night or on weekends. We also had a few minor issues that came up and again Scott would always respond to my texts and if needed had someone out the next morning to take care of it. I had left the heater one once while out of the country and texted Scott who quickly went to the house and turned it off for me. OMG.... we LOVE our pool and yard! Ken was our designer/sales and we developed a "sports" pool/spa with a waterfall, infloor cleaning system, and a bunch of other stuff! We started about 6 months ago, getting quotes from a few other reputable builders... we easily discovered building a pool is A la carte. Once they started digging it took 2.5 months. The pool, the spa, the pebble tec or plaster (or 20 other choices), the decking, a Firepit (yes!), Baja lounge, water feature (s), equipment, heater (s), pumps (s) and 50 billion other options I could never list... I found making a million decisions overwhelming but Ken our designer who has built a zillion pools and I who had built ZERO (over even owned a pool) were able to work together and build our vision. Poolscapes was lower than the other bids when comparing apples to apples. The whole building team with LeRoy, Scott and Danny were extremely personable and super sweet. We also went with Poolscapes for Landscaping (I am thankful every time I walk outside for this!), Scott is amazing to work with!! We also got 5 bids and initially Poolscapes bid/designed out an amazing landscaping (it was way over our budget), again A la Carte... but after some changes... they came in the same prices everyone else (and even less). Let me start by saying that our pool looks great. That's the only reason they're getting 2 stars instead of 1. It was an extremely painful process that took SIX MONTHS to complete rather than the contracted 3-4. Tanr, our sales person was great to work with in the initial phases. However, once we called to express our concerns about several issues he became defensive and we didn't feel listened to. Kayla from the office was often helpful but likely overworked as we didn't get many promised e-mails with timing updates. Although each time we called she did take the time to talk and answer any questions we had. Brian, our head contractor was lazy or incompetant, we can't decide which. A list of some of our issues: - They dug the pool too deep. We pointed this out and they said to "trust the process". Three weeks later Brian says...I noticed that your pool is too deep. Yeah, no kidding. That problem took an additional 2 months to fix. But of course none of the issues were ever his problem, he deserves a gold medal in passing the buck. - They tried to save a few dollars by not lining up the tile on both our walls. Had to redo. - They promised a contractor onsite daily during major phases, didn't happen. Sometimes Brian would just pull in front of the house, sit there on his phone for 5 minutes and then leave. - They promised a camera onsite and to give us a time lapse video, didn't happen. - They promised a sprinkler system to water our gunnite while we were out of town, didn't happen. - They built a table for us to go inside the pool. It was quite clear they had never/rarely done this before as it took several efforts to get it right. Danny even said "Yeah I laughed when they gave the tabletop to me." So then why is it here and ready to install? Real professional guys. Thank goodness we both work from home and could help supervise the entire process or it would have been even worse. I could go on and on but I'm getting chest pain just reliving it all. I see some of the reviews talking about how they only wanted the BIG jobs which i totally believe. Ours was $124,000. My wife and I just finished having our "forever" home built and wanted a quality pool and backyard landscaping to finish it off. Our goal was to create a fantastic retreat for our children and us to enjoy. We started looking for someone to help make our dreams a reality. Poolscapes turned out to be the WRONG choice! We had our initial meeting in August 2017 with Michael to try and get a head start since the house wasn't going to be complete until November/December. We sat down and had what seemed to be a productive conversation, outlining the design for the 20-yard pool, BBQ area, solar shades, and other landscaping we had in mind. Michael gave us a rough price quote for an amount near which we were expecting and was reasonable (about $100,000 for just the pool). When asked how we were going to pay, we replied cash. After the meeting, Michael said he would begin the process of drafting a more complete design plan of what we wanted and would go out to the house and get measurements from the actual location within the next couple weeks for the final proposal. Fast forward to nearly the end of October, we reached out to Michael because he had not contacted us since our initial meeting in August. Michael said he misplaced our file but would come to the home in the next week or so to get the measurements he was supposed to have made two months prior. However, due to the fact our house was still a couple months from being complete, we were in no rush and we let the delay slide. By the end November we discovered that my wife has aggressively growing breast cancer and moved into our new house. We still had not received any further communication from Michael by the week before Christmas. Yet again we reached out to Michael and were promised a meeting the following week, this time at the house. Michael explained that he had two other projects near us, so the meeting would not be a problem. One hour before our scheduled appointment, Michael calls and without preamble cancels the meeting because our house is "too far away" for Poolscapes "to provide the level of service that [I] deserve" and wishes me well in my project. I have lived in Henderson for approximately nine years and have always considered installing a pool in my backyard. I had shopped five different pool companies and three of the five showed up for an appointment to look at my backyard. I had given all three companies who showed up a layout and photos of how I thought I would like to see in my backyard. One company came back with a very basic pool with cool deck , The second company never provided a bid and a third company was Pool scapes. Not only did Ken show up on time for his first appointment, six days later called me back with pricing and a layout of my pool. I originally had a budget of approximately $60,000. Ken said that I could have an amazing pool for $60,000 -$75,000 and never questioned how I was going to finance my pool. Quite the opposite, when I asked him how much they require down, he said they don't ask for money until after the excavating was completed. This completely blew my mind, a company willing to enter into a contract and dig out my backyard... without any money down. After agreeing to the design, Ken again called me and invited me down to their office where he showed me the proposed pool and lay out on video. all I can say Ian"WOW". It took me about five minutes to say yes to the design and layout. Ken visited my home weekly if not more to inspect the projects and check in on the staff. Over the course of the construction, I had neighbors in my very prestigious part of Henderson come to my home, knock at my door and ask me which pool company I used because of the cleanliness and courteous employees that were on site. There is no other company in town that I would recommend other than Pool scapes. I have visited numerous homes and have seen the design and layout of pools designed and built by other companies. The only pools that I am wowed by our those designed and built by Poolscapes, LLC. Ken is the man ... If you don't want to spend tens of thousands $$$$$ (min), they get rude.........The salesman was VERY condescending and started degrading our property right in front of us!! I even said out loud..........Wow! He told us our 14k gallon pool renovation (Pebbletech, New Tile, rebuild waterfall from hot tub) would be $20-$25k Min. We have like 3 quotes for around $9-11k. (BTW - Ken (sales) needs salesmanship classes and people skills - and not degrade people's projects.) I am a commercial construction estimator and project manager for 30 years. I know a bit. We don't often write reviews on services that we receive, however our experience with Poolscapes warrants our high praise for the work that was performed on the planning and construction of our new swimming pool. My wife and I are not new to this rodeo and in fact we have built two other pools over the years, one of which was as an owner-builder. I mention this only to reinforce that we understand the process of having a pool constructed at a private residence. After explaining what we were looking for in a pool for our rather small back yard area, Ivan and company took to developing a computer-generated mock-up of our design. The use of this technology gave us a very good idea as to what the pool would look like and was very helpful in deciding pool equipment location and other considerations relating to our pool. Based on our understanding of how the pool was to be constructed, Ivan introduced an itemized cost for construction, including a number of decision points on various upgrades and new technology available in modern pool construction. This presentation was frank and did not rely on any high pressure salesmanship whatsoever. Once we inked the deal, construction began in accordance with our agreements and was smooth sailing from painting the outline of the pool, digging the first scoop of dirt to the finished plaster and filling up the pool. In addition to the pool construction we also hired Poolscapes to do the landscaping of our pool and yard area, which exceeded our expectations. We found the Poolscapes people at every level to be courteous and responded quickly to our questions and concerns. Our emails were returned promptly and the entire build happened with a minimum anxiety or concern on our part. We would like to acknowledge the following folks for their friendly and competent response to us. If I have to make multiple calls and wait a month to get a quote, I could imagine how much follow-up would be needed to get a pool built. I had just moved in to my new home and began looking for a pool contractor. I contacted four pool contractors to get estimates on a new pool and spa. One of these companies was Poolscapes. I went into their office and set up an appointment with Ken to come out and measure my yard. He seemed more interested in finding out if I obtained financing, instead of designing the pool that I wanted. I told him I was getting estimates and my budget was $60,000. He told me their pools cost more then that but he would come out and measure my yard. When Ken arrived at my home, he again asked if I had obtained financing yet. I told him I would get the money, I just needed a design and estimate before I made up my mind. Ken told me that since I didn't have any financing yet, I would just be wasting his time. He didn't want to compete against the other pool contractors and said since I didn't have financing lined up, he said it would be a waste of his time. I tried to explain to Ken, that once I decided on a pool contractor I would obtain the funds to complete the project. I didn't want to apply for any loans until I knew how much I would need to finance. Ken again said I wouldn't be able to qualify for a loan large enough for one of their pools and without loan approval I was wasting his time. The other three pool contractors completed their designs and now that I knew how much I money I would need, I applied for and got approved for $75,000.00. I decided to give Ken another chance, called and told him my budget was now $80,000-$90,000. He said he would come out, measure the yard and put a design together. I never heard back from Ken or anyone at Poolscapes. None of the other three pool contractors had a problem submitting a design proposal prior to obtaining funding for the project. Since I never heard back from Ken at Poolscapes, I finally went with Vintage Pools and I estimate I'll spend nearly $100,000 on the pool and backyard landscaping and patio. It was obvious Poolscapes was not interested in submitting a proposal since I had not obtained funding prior to getting estimates. Seems all they are interested in is finding out if you have money. If you don't, they are not interested, you are wasting their time and in this case blew a $90,000-$100,000 design that I'll happily give to Vintage Pools. read more

He promised to show us a 3D presentation in his office a week later. He said he'd call us on Monday to go over the quote and he never called us back. How very unprofessional!! Over 2 years have passed since our pool installation. Scott is a man of his word. When we first got the pool he said he would always be easy to reach about questions. With any issue we have he responds within the hour and if we need him to come out he is there within 24 hours or less. The workmanship is awesome. Had to have the salt water generator replaced which was under warranty. He is the owner and did the work himself. Scott has made pools his passion and it shows. Overall after everything is said and done, it was great that this company cares enough about the work that they put out that they will make it better and make the client happy. In the end I grew to love Ivan and the team and appreciated working together. I am extremely type A and a perfectionist so having them rise to my expectations was really great! My guess if your not as high strung and don't come from a designer back round and do the normal things that are in their wheel house you will have a good experience. ------------- Been 20 weeks and still not done. Their subcontractors never show up. When you speak to Ivan the owner he will sell you on their quality. Once they have your deposit and contract in hand it's a completely different story. Which he has no control over because neither him nor his project manager are ever here to oversee the project. They will tell you last minute you need to make decision and you will end up running all over town to look at tile. because you don't want to be the reason they are held up. He sets up meetings to go over your project and cancels them. Not to mention the project will look like a trash can with water bottles, empty cement bags, cut tile because no one can pick up after them selves. read more

As a matter of introduction, I am a Henderson local for eight years and spent two years looking to build my dream home. 22 months ago Poolscapes created a beautiful pool and backyard landscaping for me. Before deciding on Poolscapes I got 3 quotations. Poolscapes was the highest of the 3. As the saying goes, 'you get what you pay for'. I chose Poolscapes because of the experience I had from the moment I walked into their showroom office. I was impressed by their professional approach, and I didn't feel like I was on a car lot, like my experience with the other pool companies. Turns out Poolscapes lived up to my initial impression. My neighbor went with the lowest bidder, and had too many problems to count. To this day he continues to complain about his pool and landscape work. My pool was done on time, and it was done right the first time. Everything about my pool was perfect, and the craftsmanship was with the money. What really promoted me to write this was based on an incident that occurred a week ago, the day before my birthday and on a Friday. The incident caused my pool heater to malfunction, and the party I had planned was in jeopardy... cold pool water is no party. The Poolscapes folks came within 2 hours of me calling them to tell them about my gas heater malfunction. What's amazing about this is the heater was not their responsibility, it technically was a warranty call for the heater equipment company. Not only did they have us swimming later that day, they said it would be no charge!
