I would give this place about 3 and a half stars at the moment for a number of reasons. Some of the positive things I can say about the place are: 1) It's about 10 km away from the city center, so if you truly wanted to get away from it all, this is perfect. 2) They have a very nice swimming pool there. It is shallow but it is great for family and the kids, as well as the hot tub. 3) The "ventanas" (2 bedroom condos) had a lot of space, and the bathtub had a jacuzzi as well. There is also Sky TV available so you can watch your favorite television programs when you're chilling out at home after a day out in town. The condos are fully furnished and the kitchen is also very nice as well. 4) If you don't want to cook and want to eat in the restaurant on site (they also have a bar as well) the food there is actually pretty good. 5) There is a private beach there for anyone who is staying at this resort. 6) The staff there are very friendly and helpful. There are, however, a few slight negatives I have to point out. To be perfectly fair, however, the place is still developing and they are still in the process of doing a lot of construction there to expand the resort. 1) As mentioned in the beginning, the resort is away from the city center. If you have your own transportation, this may or may not be a big issue, but after staying there a few days, driving into town if you need something can be an inconvenience. 2) The WiFi is sporadic there. Around the front desk/reception and the pool area, it is free there, but sometimes, even then it doesn't always work. In the living areas, you can't really pick up anything at all, and you have to then pay for that internet. I think this is an issue they need to fix, and I also think the internet there should be included with your package as well instead of paying it separately. I would have been willing to pay a little bit for it in the living areas, but the fact that it barely or didn't even work there at all locked my decision of not getting the paid internet and just using it in the common area for free. 3) The road to the resort is on a pretty rough unpaved road. When you pull off the highway, you will first come to the security gate. After clearing this part, you have to drive another mile or two just to get to the resort itself. Now, I understand the need for security and I actually don't mind this part too much since I do feel safer with this in place. However, if you are coming back from town at night, that road is unpaved and there are hardly any lights, so you would have to use your high beams just to see where you're going. 4) The private beach is beautiful, but it's in very shallow waters, and in fact, you can't really go swimming there until the tides are high during certain periods of the day. However, it's really cool to see all the crabs and fish swimming in those shallow waters. Overall, the place was good experience and I would go again. If you're the type who wants to just get away from all the crowds and want to relax, this is a good place to be. All you have to do is go to a supermarket, get all of your food and drinks there, bring it back and stock up your fridge, and you would never have to leave the resort and you can just chill out there your entire time if you wanted to. But as of this writing, there is still plenty of work to be done there. I will end this review in saying that although this resort has a way to go, it has enormous potential to grow (and they are constantly working on it), and in the future, it will only get much better. I had a great time here and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

For a quick getaway this was ok. I wouldn't be happy staying here more than 3 days tops ... here's why Location: It's really far from the traditional resort zone (restaurant Ms, stores, etc) about a 15-20 minutes drive, the route is fairly isolated so after dark it's a little unnerving to take the drive. We did venture out but we were really nervous the whole time. Beach: they do have a private beach, but when its NOT high tide it's a really long walk to actually get to be beach. (Think 30 min walk) Pool rules: In a word they are ridiculous No outside food or beverages AT ALL or you could be charged a violation fee. No outside music or speakers or you could be charged a violation fee. *** FYI the violation fee is about $200. I understand trying to make sure the resort marketable but the fee is steep and also forces you to purchase food and alcohol from them. I think you could also be charged a violation fee if you are intoxicated. Again these restrictions are being applied while you are on vacation. Food: is kind of hit or miss.. breakfast wasn't that great, but dinner was delicious. Pricing was fair. They also are selling units (timeshare) and they're sales pitches are done at breakfast.. it was an odd to witness. The rooms: the bed was basically a cot with a mattress on the top and the bedding was poor quality. The bathroom was nice but the room has no personality no decor. It felt like motel 6 or less. The good: the rate was great, the pool views are beautiful & it's Mexico a quick drive from Phoenix. Te resorts looks beautiful from the outside. read more
Far from one's idea of a "resort", Laguna Shores has recreated--or perhaps even perfected--an absolute suburban hell for the American vacationer. First of all, it has arguably the worst location of any spot you could pick in Rocky Point. It's miles away from any attractions, and its beach is the worst beach I've ever seen--a shoreline with hundreds of feet of rocks before you get to any water, and it's teeming with crabs. The renderings of the beach you see in ads are intentionally misleading. Did I mention it's a two-mile drive from the front gate to your room, and most of the property is just empty desert? Anyway, there's not much to do if you decide to stay put for a day. The pool and its accompanying bar are alright, but can only keep you interested for so long. There's a tennis court on premises, but it was always empty and there seemed to be no way to rent any sort of equipment. Even if you do partake--you will either have to drive or walk 10-15 minutes to get anywhere. If you're hungry, your only option at night is their fine dining establishment. There *is* a convenience store for snacks, but for some reason it's at the entrance (two mile drive!) instead of being embedded in the same area guests actually stay. It makes no sense at all. I would NEVER come back here. It's too far from everything, has dismal amenities, and nothing to do except lounge around the pool. Zero stars if I could. read more

I'm not sure why the bad reviews. This place was clean and security was great. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely return. I guess the only negative is that there really isn't a beach but we knew that going there and made plans to visit one nearby. read more

Just the worst experience. If you are not there for a timeshare visit they treat you like human garbage. Zero kindness or service. Didn't honor reservations. Made a deposit and still had to pay for whole room. Told they would get correct room and then never given it. Don't expect to be close to water. Avoid this place like the plague Simplemente la peor experiencia.

Booked here for a weekend so my daughter could see the beach for the first time and it was a complete disappointment. Staff were extremely rude, pictures are not accurate with what the hotel is actually like. The beach is 3 blocks from the actual hotel and you still have to walk approximately 15 miles a to get to the actual water. Pools and amenities are 3 blocks from the hotel as well. Everything is super inconvenient. Tried to cancel reservation and staff hung up on me and after a while I got someone on the phone and they were extremely rude as well. Save your money and go somewhere else where you are heard and where everything is nicer and comfortable!! read more

Laguna Shores - a total rip off - stay away from the 90 min time share / vacation show that you are approached about in town - complete fraud - we were promised , 2 bottles of tecila , evening boat cruise, 3 day /2 night stay in the future stay and a lunch when we arrived . So on a arrival - no tecila, 3/2 stay or boat cruise. Total lie. So I'm suppose to buy a home or a timeor vacation share. We were given back you 20$ and given a lunch . Best bet stay away a complete fraud. read more

The only great thing about this place is the home, I give it to them it's a nice home. However it's not! First of all safety, location is not near or close to the City, very dangerous. When you arrive close to the city because you do not go into the city. The resort is located in the outskirts of the City. There is no emergency services, no store near by, nowhere to really run if God forbid something happened because you are surrounded by dirt and just plain ugly desert for miles and miles. Once you reach your destination you still have to drive more To reach the front office after you check in at the main gate. You will drive through a dirt road then back to pavement and through a bunch of potholes for about 5-7 minutes until you reach the front office. (check in at the main gate tells you 2-3 min to each office but thats incorrect). Due to the fact that's it's so far there's nothing nearby. You must bring everything you need from sugar to your every day meals and snacks, yes there is a restaurant but that's it. (No one tell you this either before you book). Music has to be at minimal even though you have this massive home, the jacuzzi is not a jacuzzi but a kiddie pool attached to pool and it doesn't have heat only a bubbles switch which makes a bunch of noise and it's louder than the music. Management has full control of lights out, they literally turn everything off at 10p, the whole resort area, your backyard lights, pool lights, backyard lights I mean all it goes pitch dark with no way or turning them back on. The opened shared resort area is blah. Just to get to the beach front you have to drive down to the area, the beach is about 5min drive give it take depending on where on the property you are located. And yes, they provide you with bikes but because the resort is not completed, your ride is limited to less than nothing to ride. If your looking for a beach front good luck this is a shallow lagoon not close to a beach! Ohh and forget water sports unless you want to paddle wet sand. We stayed at gemelas ll, no access to local channels or login to any streaming services which for the price it should be included, you are not provided with bathroom hand soap or soap bar. This house is big and it has a small size refrigerator it's not even a regular size refrigerator. If you must bring everything you need for a few days with big families believe me it will not fit. An issue we had with this specific house was the fridge wasn't cooling, we called our contact several times and he keep saying it would get cool to give it time, after a while it's useless... by 9p that evening we had to drive out 15-20 mins to buy 7 bags of ice for the ice chests, transfer groceries into them and then continue to replenish with ice bags to keep our groceries good until we left so they didn't go bad. We checked out and still the refrigerator not working. Conclusion if you looking to stay relatively secluded from all (including help if needed), stuck in a nice vacation home for the complete stay, want no interaction with no humans, then this is for you. Otherwise this is rated the worst place ever, it's super expensive and completely not worth it, I could of overlooked a lot here but unfortunately safety comes first and it's definitely not here! read more

While staying in Puerto Penasco recently we decided to do a whale watch boat trip. After a lovely dinner downtown we walked by a outdoor kiosk after a row of shops along the water advertising boat trips. The young Mexican man talked us (Erick S. From land & sea tours and activities, along with a rep from here. Can't recall his name) into securing a whale watching trip for the next day at noon with a cash deposit. It was agreed upon we did not have to attend a timeshare presentation. We arrived at 11:30 for the boat trip and we're told that it did not depart until 4:00 that day. We agreed to still do the boat ride at 4:00with no timeshare tour. The man again asked for cash upfront. We arrived at 3:40 for the boat at the same location but no one was there. We waited until 4:00 and then drove to the boat. The boat owner said there was no 4:00boat ride that day. He made a couple calls for us. We went back to the kiosk to talk to the gentleman from the night before but could not get our money back. He had already spent it! Stay Clear. read more

This was of the worst Experience Ever. The amount of money we paid for this "Resort" was a joke. One, a week Before we had arrived we tried contacting the property for further questions, both numbers they had provided us was invalid that an email was sent out ( which then I received the night we had ALREADY gotten there). Second the day of us arriving We Had ask The Front Lady from the Desk who's name was Lizeth if we were able to check in due to 10 min left to check in and refused to allow us, she told us we had to wait until exactly 4pm meaning not even at 3:59pm were we able to check in, Luckily the manager was there and was able to make it up due to her employee not putting any effort in comforting their Guest. All we wanted to do was to put our luggage away and be able to use the restroom( since the restroom they had by the pool stunk so bad, you didn't even half to walk all the way in to smell it). We didn't pay the amount of money we did to hang out in a room. We we had arrived at the room, we notice that the room wasn't even clean. The floor had stains as if someone had spilled soda and just left it there, yes the stain was removable. The other thing that i dislike was that the air in the room wasn't even working it was way too damn Hot to sleep so we decided to open the balcony door to get some what fresh air to only get bit by mosquitos. This was by far one of the most worst Experience ever, never will we ever come back. read more

Charlie Carlos was so accommodating from giving us blankets, tequila & showing us where to eat. He followed thru with everything he said he would do. We got there & met Ana who had lunch with us. She was very knowledgeable & gave us a tour. Overall, we liked it but because we never make a quick decision & don't know anything about this property we passed on the opportunity for now. Donald was trying his best to give us different options but again we decided against it today. When we said no, they respected our decision and didn't put pressure on us! If it's meant to be we will be back for a second look. Timing is everything. read more

I came to Laguna Shores not really knowing what to expect, and wow, I am BLOWN AWAY!! I have never felt so safe at a hotel before. This resort is perfect if you need a private getaway. As soon as you enter the gates you will feel like you are in a quiet mini town. The location is perfect and away from all the craziness! The staff is so caring and will help you with any questions you have. This resort also cares about the environment, so that was a huge plus for me!!!! This is the only resort in Peñasco that I will be recommending to anyone I know visiting :) Can't wait to be back soon! read more

we just got done with a terrible experience at this place. I don't care what they call it vacation ownership timeshare resort it all sucked we told them we were vegan before we went they promised to have special food available they did not then they made us wait 2 hours before they gave us anything they continue to drag it out even though we told them repeatedly we weren't buying we were interested they told us after we got there that because we didn't have a lease with both of our names on it that said we live together was married that none of the gifts they had promised we would be receiving. I've had several time share experiences is from the Disneyland resorts to Vegas and so I'm familiar with what to expect but this was far worse than any of them that I've ever had through any company the people would not accommodating they want polite and I have to say that I've all the companies that get a zero for being vacation ownership timeshares this gets and -10. only reason I even got one stars because you can't do negative and that was the only way to leave them a bad review so others could avoid them. read more

Love this resort y'all it is so pretty but I gave it 4 starts because I literally hate the parking lot for the rooms .. it's like a side walk and Always scraped the bottom on my car. Also there was no room service and we had the sticker up on our door I actually called the front office. And I was told someone would come but no one showed up. The room could use some more amenities like a microwave, closet & drawers I got the standard double stay away from that if you bring alot of clothes !! But overall a great resort very lowkey but very beautiful definitely coming back . read more

Today we came in a group of 5 women for the presentation near 10:30 am. Over all, we'll say the presentation was good. And though nothing could happen today, we saw value in what our future might hold with Laguna Shores. And the incentives for the presentation were breakfast, beach bag with goodies and a mexican blanket. Thank you for breakfast. BUT.... the introduction from the sales unit over by Sonoran Spa made promises of the incentives for our time. Other than breakfast, we had to find our missing sales guy Juan (Fantastico) to gather the other items for 5 people at 1 pm. That part of the experience TOTALLY WRECKED THE OVERALL PRESENTATION. This man was not to be found. The man at the sales site at Sonoran Spa was unprofessional and was basically stalling by trying to convince us of the circumstances and "come back at 5 pm to talk with the manager." or "Here talk to the manager" on the phone he was dialing. Of which went to a voicemail. We left disappointed in the experience. Don't make promises you do i it plan to keep, because we won't return. read more

Stay away from this place. We signed up for the membership. We go to use it and it is now called a Trial membership. In the contract it does not say this. We were told we could get the 3 bedroom condo . Nope we can't . now we are being told we can only stay 1x in a year. But we were told we can come as many time as we want in the year as long as we pay for the room. 2 bedroom was $200 for the stay, 3 bedroom $300 for the stay. This place is a scam the salesman that helped us with deal is no longer there. Hmmm I wonder why. they don't even follow whats on the contract. they pick and chose what they want. read more

It's a decent place to stay and the beach is pretty. The food at the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. However, the sales staff is laser focused on selling timeshares and property. They will offer you many incentives to get you to sign a contract and then fail to deliver. They do this, knowing that because they are based in Mexico, you'll have no recourse. They ended up firing the sales rep that attended me. But they refuse to make things right and give me what was promised in the contract because it doesn't favor them. The sales manager, Alejandro Palomares, is very sneaky and will gaslight you. They never once let me speak to Wayne Corcoran, who signed my contract but is mysteriously absent when questions arise or he wants to respond to a good review on yelp. Milk them for freebies, rent a room if you want, but otherwise, don't give them a penny. Don't buy property or timeshares at this resort. Wayne Corcoran and his company will rip you off. read more

Omg where do I begin! They totally ruined my last day in Rocky Point. My daughter and I were staying at the Peñasco Del Sol resort. It was her first visit and we were both excited to spend time together since I work a lot. She wanted to get a massage at the resort and rent jet skis. I had already talked to J and B activities, which is outside of the resort we stayed at, about renting jet skis. When I went to go rent the jet skis they offered me and my daughter a spa day at Laguna Shores for visiting the property. I was very skeptical but they went on and on about how great it was and how well we would be treated. They promised and promised! So I thought what the heck, we'll check this property out and get treated with a spa day and maybe book our next vacation there. The guys at J and B asked if I had a major credit card in possession and I told them I didn't. They said it wouldn't be a problem. Ok fine. So the last day at our resort we checked out early because we thought we were going to have this fantastic day. But no. As soon as we stepped foot at this place everything we were promised was quickly dwindled done to nothing. A spa day and massage turned into 30 minutes at the spa. Then when I didn't have a credit card on me they offered us some crappy buffet breakfast instead of the spa! I explained that we had checked out of our resort early to visit their place and that I could have just gotten spa services at my resort and I also told them that the other gentleman that drove us there said it was okay that I didn't have a credit card on me. Laguna Shores could care less!!! We were so disappointed. I wouldn't believe or trust anything Laguna Shores staff or sales people say to you. They could care less about wasting your time a completely ruining a families vacation. read more

Relaxing getaway! If your looking at getting away for some much needed rest and relaxation, this place is for you. We stayed with my mom and my family of 5 in a 2 bedroom Ventana unit. The units are nice with travertine bathrooms including a jacuzzi tub. There was plenty to keep us occupied including use of bikes, basketball, tennis courts and a decent gym with no extra charge. Unfortunately, the tide was way out during our stay it made for some treasure hunting for shells and such. We did try the restaurant onsite one of our days and food was good. The other days we enjoyed going into town to try new places to eat. Will definitely be going again. read more

This tastes, feels and smells like a scam. The entire process is a well-oiled machine designed to drag you in, recruit you for future vacations and utilize you as a marketing tool. In the process you end up wasting a precious few hours of your vacation time. I'm embarrassed that I fell for their gimmicks -- and want to warn others of their dubious, fraudulent and untruthful tactics. The street-level recruiters will do anything to drag you in -- don't fall for their half-truths and empty promises. Buyer beware!!!!! Not as advertised! Condo dirty, no laundry , no internet. 30 minutes from the rest of our party who was in las conchas, which this location was advertised. The foul smell of the resort prevented us from opening the windows which had no screens therefore our room was so hot, because the air conditioner never worked. And what a joke it was to find the resort. they never gave us the name of the resort, so when we arrived we had to go to a total different location to pick up the key. We went to the office to complain about air etc and nothing was done. We left early, and never got to enjoy our time here read more

I had the most horrendous experience with the hotel front desk service. I cannot begin to express my disappointment and frustration with the level of customer service provided by the front desk lady. To say it was awful would be an understatement. It all started when she assured me that she would call me as soon as my room was ready. However, it turned out to be a complete lie. I never received a call from her, leaving me waiting and wondering about the status of my room. When I finally checked into my room, I discovered that the hot tub was not functioning properly. Naturally, I called the front desk for assistance, and to my dismay, I ended up speaking with the same front desk lady. Little did I know that this would only add to my frustration. I patiently waited for four long hours, hoping that a service person would come to fix the hot tub. Unfortunately, no one showed up. Frustrated beyond belief, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I went down to the front desk to express my concerns, and all she could do was promise to remind the service person. There was not even a hint of an apology for the inconvenience caused. The guy at the front desk, witnessing my mounting anger, thankfully stepped in to assist. He took charge of the situation and managed to get the repairman to my room within just ten minutes. However, despite the repairman's efforts, he was unable to fix the hot tub. This entire experience left me utterly dissatisfied and deeply disappointed. The front desk lady's lack of transparency, urgency, and accountability, coupled with the overall subpar service, made it the worst customer service encounter I have ever had. read more

Laguna shores son unos estafadores. Venden timeshares y cada ves que llamas para reservar la semana te dicen que no hay habitaciónes.
