Brian in the office reached out to me as my friend and long time condo owner at Sonoran Sun gave him my number. We discussed different locations and I decided on W510- BEAUTIFUL!!! Very clean, the views are phenomenal!! The staff is what makes this place!! Erick the concierge went above and beyond having flowers delivered to me on our sunset cruise after learning I was celebrating a big birthday! So wonderful!!

We had room 703 (2 bedrooms and 2 baths). This resort has very clean (however dated), tight security (controlled gates and access), pools (clean), and amenities (gym). The Jacuzzi? I don't know, since I didn't want a shocking experience. Also, our room was very cozy, however one side of the bed from both rooms had a literal hole on one side, ouch my back! I felt like a landed from a 10 story building. concerning noise, we were woken up at night by car alarms and early risers (6 a.m.) with kids that would make a lot of noise in the morning in the hallway. also, room service doesn't come every day; however, they leave paper towels and toilet papers. other than that, we had a good time cabron!

Staying in direct by owner thru Casago. Fantastic prices, service fantastic, I would highly recommend.

We spent 5days at this resort in April (after Easter) and we had a very nice, relaxing stay in unit W104. We arrived at 2, not realizing check in was at 4.. luckily our condo was ready. Check in and locating the condo was easy. Plenty of parking, easy access to offload our ice chest, bottled water and suitcases. The condo was a ground unit with the most amazing balcony, view and access to the pools and beach! Furniture was all modern and every game and need was readily available (games, TVs, extra pillows, hangers, kitchen items). The sound of the waves in the morning was amazing .. the pools were cleaned daily, guard shacks at the beach entrances to make sure the pools were just guests of the resort. The resort and beach was clean.. plenty of shaded seating areas. Staff was friendly, always greeted you. I would highly recommend this resort .. it's close to the malecon, fish market, la ley for grocery items and some mex/American restaurants like wrecked at the reef, changos, bandidos.

Missing tile... Seriously????

Avoid SW1007... This unit is going downhill horribly! The Sonoran Sun used to be really nice to stay at and a lot of the units are going downhill....This is completely unacceptable for $2,000! The dishwasher didn't work at all, the washing machine didn't work, there was no cleaning service because of COVID, there was a roach in the shower, we couldn't get EITHER patio door open, there were very few dishes and everything seemed so dirty and the shower in our room was completely missing tiles. I complained to the front desk and they offered me 10% off my next stay. WHAT!! I get 20% off each time anyway, so it was like a slap in the face. So frustrating when I was surprising my husband and his friends for his birthday. It was so embarrassing.

This was my first trip to Rocky Point and wasn't sure of what to expect. My family actually had done all of the organizing, planning and reserving for this trip - my only responsibility was to get there! Upon arrival, the security guards check if you're on the guest list and then they allow you inside to park. We easily found the tower and made our way up the elevators. The room we had was really spacious and had a beautiful patio overlooking the beach and the resorts pools. The resort itself was pretty well maintained, the pools were clean and sparkling and the beach was literally right there. We also visited the restaurant on site as well as their gift shop/convenience store and the spa. I would TOTES come back to Sonoran Sun on my next trip to Rocky Point!

We had an ocean front room and it was amazing. I'm definitely returning. Very clean, safe, and fun.

Beach front, swim up bar. The drinks were pricey for Mexico, as well as the food, can't remember how it honestly tasted after spending a couple of hundred on drinks at the bar. the AMFs are definitely worth the taste, I believe this resort was also right next to the oceans sand bar. 3 bedroom condo ocean view was nice with a full kitchen, however this was not an all inclusive resort style which is why it is getting the 3 stars. I stayed here for 3-4 days with a few other girls however security at this place was always asking for me and my friends to show our wristbands when we walked from the sand back to the pool as if they did not just see us leave 10 minutes prior, quite frustrating. Nice if you are looking for a 3 star experience.

I have to say it took me a while to find this dang resort I was staying at because there's more than one sun resort in this location. Finally when I found it, I was very very impressed. My whole attitude changed as soon as I walked into my room. My room was luxurious and beautiful. I loved my view from the balcony. The room had all the things I'd need if I wanted to just stay inside. I enjoyed the pools and the hot tub. The bar at the pool had some country music playing, reminded me of home haha plus the beach is only steps away. Loved this place. It's a must go!

This is my favorite spot. Beach is fabulous. Clean and always looking good. Food at swim up bar fabulous.

We stayed for 4 days and our group had a fabulous time. The resort itself is well kept and cleaned constantly. The staff were very accommodating and unobtrusive at the same time. The condo we stayed at was immaculate and the views were exceptional. We loved every moment there and are already planning our return trip. I was even able to walk on the beach at night and security politely and discreetly followed from a distance to make sure I was safe. I love Sonoran Sun and will definitely be back.

Getting to know the owners is always a pleasure. The property is very well maintained and beautiful with all the amenities you could want. Gym, pool with a slide for kids, lazy river and negative edge pool, swim up bar and poolside restaurant. We typically rent a specific until ocean front on a higher floor which we love. The only drawback and the reason for this 4 star versus 5 star, is the one restaurant by the lobby called La Maria. It's a beautiful Restaurant with a beautiful bar. However the food is absolutely terrible and the service is nothing to talk about. It's a shame to have such a beautiful restaurant on property that is one of the lamest I've ever been to. Hopefully someday someone comes in to make it a nice place to eat and enjoy without having to leave the property. The crazy thing is the pool bar/restaurant and room service both have a better menu and better food than this restaurant. FYI. No need for a reservation and I don't recommend wasting your money there. However, the resort is excellent with great amenities, just skip the lobby restaurant.

Our daughters had a nice bedroom with private bathroom, they had 2 queen size beds in there bedroom. Only issue was the master bedroom was warm and could not get the room to cool down. Wifi is sketch but just got to reconnect every few hours.

The first time I ever stayed here was back in 2009 and I've been staying here ever since! To start off every condominium I've had the pleasure of staying has been a 3 bedroom, which includes two bedrooms on a lower level floor and the master bedroom on the second level. It's such a convenient condominium for a large family which needless to say, usually around 8-10 family members join us on our trips to peñasco, so it's always great! Although most people don't go on vacations to cook, my family and I get good use out of the kitchen that every condominium is provided with, we make everything from breakfast to dinner! Good way to save money if you don't mind all the cooking :) I love the fact that there are not only 1, or 2 but 3 POOLS in this resort!! Most hotels only have a semi good size pool and one or two jacuzzi's but the fact that this resort has 3 pools is amazing!! And on the occasions that I've been there most pools don't get packed at all, since there are so many to choose from, guests go to all 3 instead of staying all in the same pool!! No need to worry about accidentally kicking someone if you're trying to swim lol Lastly, the staff is very under appreciated! They give the best customer service and are always super kind and helpful! A few weeks ago my dad and I made our reservations for the summer and a worker by the name of Fernando was able to assist us through everything smoothly! (FYI: if you book online you only have to pay half of what the room will cost for your entire trip! And once you get to the resort on the day of your arrival date you pay the rest! It's great because you don't need to worry about having to pay it all in full!) Anyways, Fernando was able to assist us very well and provided us with the room we stayed in last time we were here back in 2015! If you ever read this Fernando, thank you for your help!!! We greatly appreciate it! I will always enjoy my stay in Princesa de Peñasco! my family and I already booked our trip for next month in July and we cannot wait to be there already, soaking up the sun and swim in the pool and enjoy everything that this resort has to offer! See you soon, Princesa de Peñasco!

Room was large and very clean; bed must have been a California king (since it was bigger than my king-sized bed). Kitchen area had a decent sized mini-fridge with an actual freezer, and a microwave. Interior walls are concrete/stucco, so I would imagine rooms are quiet even during the busy season. Our balcony was really only deep enough for standing room, not sure this is true for all rooms, but that was the only down-side. View was spectacular. All the staff was extremely friendly, and the bell person was especially informative. The included breakfast offered fairly minimal but well rounded selections; portions were ample--and delicious! They also offer an additional (paid) breakfast menu. Another on-site restaurant off of the casino area (La Arena 3C) was suuuuper good with amazing specials and happy hour pricing. On Taco Tuesday: three shrimp tacos and a chicken taco; three mini-quesadillas; a large bottle of jamaica aqua fresca; a beer; and a dessert special with two carajillos (coffee cocktails) and a small cake all came to $26.04. Ridiculous. We obviously ate there twice. There's a cute little "beach" area on the property just past the pool that overlooks the sea and has tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs, or daybeds. All with food/drink service. Perfect lounging (napping?) area. Since we were only visiting for two days we never left the resort property, and were perfectly happy with what was available to us. We chose this resort specifically for the heated bar pool, which is the only comfortable swimming option year-round. However, after this experience, we will not be returning here. We traveled here with our 2 year old son and are currently expecting another baby. The heated pool is a necessity for us, as young children cannot safely regulate their body temperature in the other "upper" pools, which are unheated, frigidly cold and not surprisingly almost always empty. In all our years coming here, children and adults have coexisted in the heated lower pool without issue. There was never a "nuisance" problem. This year, as my toddler was about to get in, we were stopped by security and told he wasn't allowed. The only sign posted states that children under 3 must wear a swim diaper. Our son was wearing one. When my husband addressed this with management, he was told it is a "new rule" that children are banned from the only heated pool on the property. Telling a family with a toddler (and soon an infant) to use the unheated pools is dismissive and medically soundless. Next year, when we have a 6 month old, we won't be able to use any pool on the property because the resort refuses to heat the family-accessible areas. This arbitrary rule has effectively ruined our vacation. If you are traveling with small children who need a comfortable water temperature, do not stay here. Sonoran Sky has made it clear that they no longer value families here. We will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.
