Loved everything about this place! This was my first visit,…read morerecommended by my husband's friend who works here. The venue is beautifully designed and cozy everywhere you look! Just being there feels so relaxing, and the patio is dog-friendly too! The staff were warm and attentive, the food was delicious, and the wine tasting was an absolute delight. I can't wait to come back again soon!

The romantic, garden-esque setting is absolutely stunning and was everything we dreamed of for our wedding. From start to finish, working with the Scribner Bend team was such a breeze and truly made wedding planning fun and stress free. When we first booked, Shaye was the wedding facilitator and she was absolutely fantastic to work with. Later, I got to work with Hillary, their new wedding facilitator and she was just as amazing! So attentive, quick to answer questions and always accommodating of any last-minute requests. They really have such a well-oiled team and their amazing list of preferred vendors made the entire process seamless. We were married on a Friday which meant we had the wonderful bonus of hosting our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at Scribner the night before. It was such a fun, easy experience and set the tone for the big day. Paesanos, their in-house caterer was fantastic (separate review) and they provided us with delicious wood-fired pizzas and two salads for our rehearsal dinner. All of our guests were raving about how good it was!! On our wedding day, we had access to the Bungalow for getting ready and wow!! it is such a beautiful, charming space. My bridesmaids and I loved spending the morning there. It has two make up stations that had great natural lighting and is great for making tiktoks! The guys had the Airstream, which was really unique and fun, though on our 100-degree wedding day it was a bit stuffy since the AC couldn't quite keep up (which is understandable for an Airstream!). Still, it was a cool and memorable space for them to get ready in. I cannot rave about Scribner Bend enough. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is phenomenal and they truly helped create the most magical and smooth wedding day for us. I'd highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a romantic, beautiful and well-supported place to say I do!!!!

I loved the variety of themes they offer -- we picked the Pink Castle theme, which was perfect for our daughter's "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Two" celebration. For our package, they set up & clean up which makes it less stressful. The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and very responsive during the planning process. They even accommodated special requests like customizing the balloon colors. Everything came together beautifully and made for such a memorable celebration. I definitely recommend this place for birthday parties for little ones! I just wish we lived closer because they also host so many fun activities and character meet-and-greets.

We just never went back. We decided to take our kids to an indoor play area and wanted to give this another shot. I was surprised it wasn't too crowded for a Friday afternoon but it was great! Check-in wasn't super smooth again - they had issues finding us in the system, so I just started filling out a new waiver again online myself while she struggled to find us on the computer. Finally we got to go inside and the kids had a great time. It was a lot more spacious than last time and they made better use of the play areas. It didn't feel so crowded and they had plenty of seating for parents all around. Glad we gave it another shot, will definitely return sooner rather than later next time.

One of the shadiest and worst hotel experiences I've had in a while. As a frequent traveler, I try…read moreto stay at IHG properties, when available, but this was the first time I regretted that decision. To be quite frank, IHG should be embarrassed to have their name attached to this hotel. They apparently don't clean the rooms unless you explicitly ask but they have IHG's clean policy stickered all over their lobby. And when they do "clean" the room, they don't replace it with clean towels. The exterior windows appeared as they haven't been cleaned for at least 6 months. When I went down to ask about the room, the housekeepers already left and the best they could do was hand me sheets and towels and told me to change them myself because "I'm sure not going to do it". If that wasn't enough to sour the experience, the AC thermostat isn't actually connected to the air conditioner as they say, but if you open the cover, that's where the true controls are. I understand the desire to save money but pulling an okie doke to prevent customers from using the AC is borderline ridiculous. I won't be returning here but I wouldn't be surprised to see it taped shut next time, if there were one. Additionaly, their key system is from 1995 using stripe key cards that demagnetized every 8 hours. Nearly every time we left the room and came back I had to go to the front desk to get the cards reprogrammed. The worst part, when we went to get them reprogrammed the very last time, a guy at the front desk who never helped us before, meaning he didn't know for sure we were guests, didn't even ask for my name or ID and just gave us access to the room. And at no point was there an apology for any of the many inconveniences. In short, if you're looking for a clean, safe and welcoming place to stay while visiting Elk Grove, stay the heck away from this place.

I walked into their lobby and was amazed how beautiful and high tech the interior design looked. I loved it! I booked my stay and was on the 2nd floor of the 3 story hotel. My room overlooked the pool. They are in the middle of renovations and soon this hotel will be even better...hard to believe. I went to breakfast which was free and was again amazed at what had changed in the world. The first was a pancake machine where you just push a button and you can watch 2 pancakes get poured, moved on a conveyer belt as they cook and then drop onto your plate. Be sure to have your plate ready..haha. The breakfast bar was clean and well stocked with eggs, sausage, oatmeal and so much more. The coffee station was fantastic. It is open 24 hours and you choose your coffee beans, had decaf, if you know me, lol, then the coffee machine brewed and then poured my coffee. A truly fantastic coffee station. My room was so beautiful and clean with so many nice touches. I love the dove hand wash and body lotion. Love it here tub and shower shampoo, conditioner and body wash. So many towels and a fridge and microwave. The bed was soft with 4 pillows. A nice size tv and the room was just lovely. Souzan checked me in with kindness and professional style and I decided to become a Holiday sink Express member right then. Even though I am only here one night, I will definitely cone back here to Elk Grove Holiday Inn Express again. It is also next to Mimi's Cafe and Old Navy. What a great location. Shoutout to the West Sacramento/ Clarksburg area…read more... The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.

They have many events here, including private events and wedding. The upcoming event is Port and Chocolate for Valentine's Day. That sounds so delicious. I loved chocolate and my husband is always up to trying another port. Parking- They have a private lot and we were able to easily find a parking spot right in-front of the entrance. Bathrooms- They have many stalls in the bathroom located to the left of the entrance. Temperature- It's cool inside, a little too cool for us today. It was 63 degrees out today and warm in the sun. I bet in the sweltering heat of our summers this is the perfect place to be. The Sugar Mill is an indoor venue. They have three different building with different wineries at this time. So, there is a little walking outside. Wine Barrels- You can buy half wine barrels for your garden for sale. Seating- They have lots of little seating areas. Inside they have a whole room with seating and nice decor. The tables are draped in white table cloths and there are stacks of wine barrels as the back drop. They have a palm court in the back and it's so quaint and beautiful. Perfect for sipping some wine slowly and chit chatting with friends. If you are looking to sit in the sun there is are a set of tables and chairs out back near the food truck. Ambiance- I love the location and building. It's an old Sugar Mill that produced sugar from sugar beets. That industry has now ended and it's now a place to visit many wineries. It's the only place that I know of that have numerous wineries and offer wine tasing for a minimum fee.
