They also re-wrote my parent's trust and formed an LLC for us. They charged us over $20,000 in legal fees and there were major mistakes that have yet to be corrected. Also, I emailed one of the partners two days after my dad passed away to find out what we do next regarding the trust, etc. and I have yet to hear back from them. It has been 10 months since my dad passed away. You would think after being charged over $20,000, they could mail a $1 + postage condolence card. They gave me incorrect advice on how to quitclaim the properties into the new LLC they formed, so they were all reassessed by the County of Los Angeles. Now, I pay more in property taxes! Also, the LLC they formed does not list the properties it's suppose to be protecting. My CPA just found that mistake a few weeks ago. This law firm also never told me the properties needed to be appraised at my father's date of death either and I would need to file that with my taxes. If they did, I wouldn't be scrambling right now to find an appraiser to do it as fast as they can so I don't have to file an extension on my taxes. I have emailed them two times asking how to fix these problems and I still have not received a response. Shame on them.
