I was told "bring it in no worries, we gotcha" Based on that information, I brought my vehicle in. When I picked it up, I was unexpectedly charged $200 for the diagnosis. If I had been told there would be a fee, I could have made an informed decision before leaving my vehicle. I have no issue paying for services when the costs are communicated upfront, but being told one thing over the phone and charged something completely different is unacceptable. I'm leaving this review so other customers are aware and can be sure to get any pricing in writing before authorizing service. Poor communication and a lack of transparency like this erode customer trust. I won't be returning, and I hope this review helps others avoid the same experience.

I knew I shouldn't ignore it as much as I ignored my tire light (which had been on for the past month.) On Thursday morning, I called multiple garages hoping they had appointments open to take a look at my car. Sadly, most places were completely booked. I had work later that day... I had no time to waste. Thankfully though, calling Northwood resulted in my car being fixed that morning! The sound coming from my car was a minor problem, fixed by removing chunks of snow from under my car! Additionally, The technicians were available to change my oil, the dead bulbs in my lights, and pump my tires! I didn't even need to sell my kidney on the black market to pay for the service! Seriously, this place is excellent! The Master Technician, Dan, was so friendly and explained everything happening with my car. It ended up being a head gasket that was causing my issue. I ended up doing the head gasket myself. When I pulled the lower intake, I found the gasket was never done. Even after I showed them pictures they still said it was changed. I have been running an industrial maintenance shop for 30 years. I know what is new and what is not. I think I am going check my thermostat and see if that was even done.
