I have no issue paying for services when the costs are communicated upfront, but being told one thing over the phone and charged something completely different is unacceptable. I'm leaving this review so other customers are aware and can be sure to get any pricing in writing before authorizing service. Unfortunately, both times the staff told us that our vehicles had oil leaks. Recently, they even refused to perform an oil change on my daughter's Solaris, claiming there was oil in the coolant and advising us to take the car to our mechanic instead. However, our reputable mechanic has inspected both vehicles and confirmed there's no oil in the coolant and no leaks. I ended up paying $75 for an oil change with my mechanic, whereas I could have paid less than $50 using a Valvoline coupon for a conventional oil change. Adding to the frustration, my daughter couldn't drive her car afterward because the mechanic was booked two weeks out for an inspection and warned us not to drive it until checked. Thankfully, we had a backup car so she could get to work. Overall, very disappointed. It seems the young service workers at Valvoline need more experience to accurately diagnose issues and provide reliable service.
