This is my second review of Canyon Cove after having been here for about 9 months. Sure, she's got her quirks. Sometimes there are various technical issues, and my cell service is weak out here, (that's a failing in my service provider, tho) and the highway intersection at the entrance can make it tricky to get in and out. But all that just adds to her charms! It's the bird song, the fireflies, the cool breezes, the feeling remote but having fairly easy access to all that is needed... and most of all it's the people. Deb and Dave have been nothing but friendly, responsive, and they work hard to continue to make improvements to this place, and to take care of issues in an expedient manner. And our neighbors? Our neighbors have been wonderful! We've not met a single person who hasn't just been full of smiles. We truly hate to leave Canyon Cove, but life is calling us in another direction... at least for now. We hope to be back in the not too distant future and resume life in this peaceful place! I wish I could give another half star, because we LOVE Canyon Cove! It's cozy, the people are friendly, and Deb and Dave are dedicated to their business. Sure, it has its quirks... but hey! We have had our RV here for five months and now living in it full time for a month. Debra and David are such a pleasure to do business with and they are doing e they can to make this "home". I have lived in the park for the last eight months, and I can honestly say that it has been a great experience. The park is safe, quiet, and best of all, the management goes above and beyond to ensure that you have a great place to call home. I give the owners and the park my highest recommendation. read more

Canyon cove rv park is a ok establishment. Deb the owner is a wonderful lady! But David on the other hand is very disrespectful to his wife and to his tenants. I was having power problems and I had called Deb and she was amazing on handling the calls and respectful but her husband is very quick to say it's your rv. I have a surge protector on my rv and if my voltage drops lower the 108 it shuts off the power. My wife and son were in the rv and I called them and they say they can get on it in a couple of hours. I recommend staying somewhere where else! The rv park is not like the picture on the web it's over grown and not maintained. read more

The gated community of Canyon Cove RV Park is surrounded by several bodies of water tucked away under a lovely tree canopy. The lake and river are in walking distance, and the nature sounds from the 2 ponds on site provide a tranquil environment. The owners are kind and so are those who stay there, some who've resided there for years. The prices are comparable and electric is included which is very rare! I was blessed to be there in my half year visit and I highly recommend them to anyone, particularly seeking to stay long term in Canyon Lake, TX. read more

The owners are nice enough I guess, but you should be warned that there are no showers or bathrooms in the whole place. We checked in, paid up, and then I went to find the bathrooms, and there aren't any. This seems like a place to live in a beat up old trailer, not somewhere to stay for a weekend. My wife and I currently live at this park while we wait for our home. This is an amazing park. Take time to get the owners - the are amazing people and truly care for the customers. I made a reservation here short notice for work. I arrived around 5 everything seemed cool but when we arrived they turned us down because they thought my treeing Tennessee brindle was a pitbull. (look up the breed on google I don't think she looks like a pit) Our dog was being calm and friendly while the owners dogs were aggressively barking nonstop the entire encounter. now we are stuck out here with no place to go because it is after 5 on a Sunday and everywhere else is booked or closed. If you are trying to find an rv park in this area call someone else who is not so judgmental and biased just because they got nipped by a dog at some point in their life. And they had the audacity to tell me my dog is going to attack me and my family. read more

Great place to stay for just a few days. Its more of a long term area but the owners were great, friendly and polite and willing to help out in any way.We had fun fishing and just hanging out we will definitely come back . Very reasonably priced too and they are very pet friendly and great people. It's close to the lake which is a plus too and they have two ponds to fish in onsite and hiking trails. read more

Canyon Cove has new owners since Mara P. placed her review, I'm not sure who she talked to back in March, 2015, but it was operated by the previous owner and was called "Canyon Falls." It currently, in fact, have daily, weekley and monthly rentals for your tents, motor-home, trailer or sometimes they have one to rent. I have rented a space here now for almost 9 years. I am a registered Chaplain and I recommend Canyon Cove to individuals and families who need a temporary or permanent place to escape from the big cities! Owners Dave and Deborah Hindman are turning this place into a safe, beautiful, quiet and restful getaway at Canyon Lake. For me personally they have supported my ministry here and have added to the Christian love and care that even Jesus, I pray, would come and be welcomed!!!! read more

I think this might be a nice place if you have already been living there for a while in your RV, otherwise, you are out of luck. Newer RV spots are wedged in there like sardines. I called several months ago and was told that cabins would be available to rent by the summer, it is now August and nothing has even been started on them. So, we called again to reserve a tent site with our dogs because it is beautifuI there.They said it was fine, it was even in writing since they were having a problem with the phones and she had to text me back instead of answering the phone. We wanted a week and wound up leaving after 3 days because we felt harassed and unwanted on what should have been our vacation. I was accused of being a meth-head because we were tent camping and the owner made sure I saw that he carried a gun. And it's a minor thing, but it bugs me when people try to save my soul without knowing anything about me, so I wasn't thrilled with the religious tracts left at our site while we were there. Very weird, all-around. So, don't expect to be able to rent a cabin and unless you have been in an RV site there for a while, you are out of luck. They may take tent campers, but they don't like it. Plus, there are no showers or actual bathrooms, just port-a-potties and rude owners. You can do better. read more
