They are scammer, they ask you to sign for just showing up at your house, they will promise you they will be back, then they get paid by the manufacturer, then they claim nothing was wrong, without even touching your equipment. --------------------------------------------------------------------- After purchasing the refrigerator, we waited for a few months to open the box before putting our house on the market, in order to switch the old refrigerator with the new one. The refrigerator was in perfect condition, zero issues, with the exception of it making a very loud buzzing noise. It happens between 5 to 8 times a day on average. It will sound out in the middle of the night, also. Fortunately (or unfortunately) it doesn't last long, just about 10 seconds, only giving a very short window of time to record the sound (using whatever device). My wife went to Lowe's, and through one of the assistant manager's, Ashley, got all of the information needed to obtain the repair. After contacting FRIGIDAIRE, we were guided to go to the website and fill out a request form, including the date of purchase and the serial number, model number, and so on. We did all of that. Finally, after going through that and waiting, they sent a young gentleman by the name of Brad M. He showed up on time, and he was very nice, although doing absolutely nothing (zero, zip). He requested we should record the sound, the loud buzzing noise. He said there are different types of noises, and that our particular noise will tell him the issue. Before he left, my wife (mistakenly) signed the paper he asked her to sign. He explained to my wife that he lives in Redding, and once we were able to get a recording of the sound, just call him, he would be here "right away". Finally, my wife was able to record it while she was recording something else from the master bedroom. Immediately, she tried to call him to inform him we did get the recording, but it was the company's number, not his; and when she called, they told her, "Oh, you have to go to Lowe's or FRIGIDAIRE, go through the whole process again as if this were a new issue !". They are trying to make twice the money for the same JOB or hoping we willl go away. After back and forth, she requested to talk to a supervisor. When he came on the phone, this guy turned out to be worse than the first one. He said he was reading a note which says that "our technician tried to fix it but found no problem". It was pretty arrogant and blunt-edged "customer care". She told him she was recording him, and wondered aloud why he was lying, and did absolutely nothing. We are going to video or audio record (or both) whatever is done next. As the homeowner, we shouldn't have this as our "homework" to diagnose this issue. This is in fact, your job, not ours. To start off they do not deserve one star but you can't give 0 stars. I bought a washer and dryer from this business paying 200 dollars a piece. The washer gets to spin and it does not matter what setting you choose it is the same. You have to reset to a different setting and then the washer starts from the beginning. I have tried multiple times to get a hold of him but he ignores my calls and texts messages. They are nice to your face but after you buy they are gone like a tornado.!!!!!!! read more

Great mom and pop shop was in need of cheap affordable reliable washer dry set got a great deal for my family was absolutely amazed with all the hard work and labor I saw by the individuals putting in to help my family came in picked a set got a great deal compaired to everywhere we shopped around out later that Day they came on by and set it up in my garage for me. so veryy thrilled we can wash our clothes again . Lake appliance does not do refunds they fix it if there's a problem and or swap out with something nicer if need be everything breaks brand new stuff breaks right out of the gate and everything will break in the future just because they compliance didn't hand their money back to somebody does not mean he did not take care of them and get them a new appliance or something nicer . reviews are great for people that just want to cause problems it's a shame people are allowed to just blast a company when if they were in the right they get their money back from the credit card machine or they get a new appliance like appliance has never not taking care of anybody door is always open and the phone is always on read more

Well I will say this, I won't go back. The guy says he's been doing this for over twenty years but I'm not sure. I am in the customer service business and I know what that means and what I received was not customer service. It was, "here I will do something for you then take your money and after that your on your own". I guess that's fine if you don't really care about future business or your customers. I also understand having a policy but be up front about this: NO REFUNDS. Not once did I see or hear about this until after the fact. Go into his shop and try to find this information, you won't. I don't expect a thank you call from him about this but I should, if you are in the service/customer service business your customers are the only reason you are/stay in business so you should realize this and offer some sort of guarantee, I mean come on , hasn't the guy seen "Tommy Boy"? Long story short, I wish him all the luck but as a retail manager, customer service expert and customer I want to offer this about Lake Appliance Repair: Know what you are getting into before doing business here and remember, no refunds. read more
