I called my warranty to repair the knob on my stove. The order went to Beacon. The service guy fixed the knob on my stove and created another problem that was repaired by NorCal. I spoke to the Beacon guy. He more or less argued with me over the phone. He claimed that I accused him of the problem. The missing screws (2) I had found on my kitchen floor over these few weeks since Beacon left. NorCal just left. He told me 2 screws were missing. All of my time wasted. I went to Beacons at 3:15pm. I have a home warranty that sends these guys out to me. I have had nothing but problems with the tech that comes out. He never seems to be able to fix the problem when other companies can. I have had issues with my ice maker so he told me to defrost my fridge for 48 hours then he could work on it. My refrigerator broke shortly after that so it was defrosted for 6 days but when he got there he said I had to defrost it again to get that part fixed. Just the other day he came in while I was at work. My wife reported to me that he was extremely rude and couldn't do the work on my appliance. If I can help it I will never come back to this company. read more

Had work done, It took forever to set appointment as they are almost never in the office. The day they were late and the Woman said she was sorry and forgot to schedule my appointment! She said she could reschedule? I had the guy come a week later on Friday, He was Late and said I was his 9th stop! Worker replaced the expensive PART $200 and did not test the machine. After he left the Washer was holding Water and stopped working & did not drain holding Musty water in the basin AND HE WRONGLY ASSEMBLED THE WASHER INCORRECTLY WHEN HE PUT IT BACK TOGETHER! These people came out on a warranty repair call. WHAT A JERK!!!!! The freezer in the refer stopped working. He wants me to unload the freezer and the refrigerator, unplug it and have a ten foot clearance on all sides so he can work on it. He then wants power to it and a water connection. I don't have that in the middle of my garage, come to think of it, my garage can not accommodate a 10 foot on all sides clearance. read more

waste of time and money they will take no accountability for misdiagnosed parts, lack of any kind of followup or customer service, nor will they call you back or give you updates on any parts they ordered. they say they will call you and never do if you leave a voicemail be prepared not to be called back nor will they contact you to get an order. wide window time frame for repair be prepared for attitude from the tech at the end of the day. then a denial and no accountability by rachael the owner for her technicians attitude and failure to accurately diagnose and repair a washer. my ticket for my washer has been open since feb 22 2021 and it is still not fixed. now after talking to the owner rachael they are refusing to repair the washer even though i just waited two weeks and they ordered my parts. the original tech came out misdiagnosed my washer, it took two weeks without one update from beacon . i had to call them to schedule an appt , i saw the tech two weeks ago for the second time, he state "i called samsung and they do not even know how to fix the washer so how am i going to". he said they guessed to order a new wiring harness and circuit bored but its a guess. and one part is just now being shipped at the end of this week over two weeks after the tech came. last part that came in i was not notified nor did beacon contact me to set up an appt. horrible to no customer service dont answer their phones or call you back if you leave a voicemail. attitude from the owner rachael and her receptionist, attitude fromm the technician and refusal ad actual excuse as to why her tech had attitude. contact my home warranty company even they tried to call beacon and they didnt anser so they emailed them. they have 24-48 hrs to respond if not then i have to use another company through home warranty. beacon told home warranty they are refusing to do the repair now on my washer. biggest nightmare ever. will report this company to bbb as well and google as well. read more

Unfortunately, I do not recommend Beacon for any reason. I had an attempted warranty repair on my stacked washer/dryer. The technician sounded apathetic on the phone and his uncaring demeanor was worse in person. He informed me I needed to unstack and prepare the washer for repair as per warranty contract with GE. He also told me it wasn't worth his trouble to bring 2 technicians because it doesn't pay. No one ever asked me if I had a stacked appliance, including Beacon repair. I would have better understood his situation had the technician demonstrated even a little understanding of my situation. Again, I wouldn't bother dealing with apathetic and uncaring technician who couldn't even offer an alternative plan, which Tom's appliance did. read more

Set up a warranty repair through lowes on a Tuesday for a Friday. They called on Thursday to cancel, saying they were booked all day. Set up another appointment for the following Tursday 11-2 and nobody ever showed. The lady was very rude who answered the phone with kid/kids in the background. Not very professional at all. Then they tell the warranty people that I hung up on them before we could reschedule, which is a lie. So I have no comments on their service except for that they no showed. First I'll say that the scheduler on the phone was friendly and helpful and gave me an appointment for the next day. My washing machine wasn't working and my Kitchenaid refrigerator water dispenser has been leaking (slow drip) for over a year so I decided to have that looked at too. Well I got my washing machine to work again by unplugging and plugging back in. Yay! The repairman arrived on time and began to ask questions about the drip. It would not drip while he was there (of course). He kept insisting it's probably the filter. Which was changed months ago. And it's been dripping for well over a year. All he could say was "I'm baffled. I don't know". He never pulled out the refrigerator. Didn't check behind any panels. Just said "it's not dripping now, maybe I fixed it!" Really? Charged me $65 and left. Won't be calling Beacon's again. (The drip continued after he left). read more

This was a warranty service call for a grinding noise that the dishwasher was (and is still making) the service tech removed a single piece of basil leaf claiming that it was the cause, then said that it is a normal sound for the dishwasher to make. Well it never used to make the noise, and that leaf was not the culprit because the dishwasher is as loud as ever. I'm guessing you still got your check from the warranty company, but I still have a broken dishwasher, thank you. read more

FANTASTIC! I first called Carmonas to repair my dishwasher. They came out and said my motor was bad (without checking it, they went off the error code)... and that it was cheaper to buy a new $600+ dishwasher (from their store of course). I called Beacon. They fit me in the next day... said the motor was fine, I had some wires that needed replaced. My dishwasher is working like new! Beacon saved me HUNDREDS! I give them an A+!!!! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. It is frustrating that I had no choice regarding who could repair my LG refrigerator. Beacon was who the warranty company sent....over two months ago. The repairman said a part had to be ordered and it would take about a week. Fine. A week goes by, then two, then three....I call after a month goes by and am told the part is on the truck....great. Repairman comes back. Guess what? He ordered the wrong part. Fast forward another month. I am frustrated. ...it's been a hot summer, as always in Redding. I call the warranty company, who contacts Beacon....THEY DID NOT ORDER THE PART! My family has already gone all summer without a fridge. Thankfully, the warranty company has agreed to just exchange my fridge for a new one, because waiting for this outfit to take care of it ALL SUMMER has been an excersize in futility. Washing machine worked before technician came out. Called because it was making a grinding noise, but still worked. He said he would have to order a part, but he put it back together so we could still use it. He leaves and I put a load of clothes in. Now the washer doesn't work. I call and they say they will have to get a hold of him. No call back so I call them twice. They call just before closing time and say they talked with the technician and he said he told me I couldn't use it until the part was replaced. That's a complete lie and NOT WHAT HE SAID! Also left a bit of a mess and some tools behind. The washing machine is under warranty so Beacon wasn't my choice and given the choice I wouldn't use them. read more

Samsung wouldn't service my 2 year old dishwasher so I called Beacon. Chad came out and called Samsung technical, ordered some parts (luckily under warranty), charged me $95 for "diagnosing" the problem and left. A week later he came back and installed the parts. Dishwasher still throwing the same error code and shutting off. Rude Chad calls Samsung techs again and gets in an argument with them (he says he can't understand them cause they're in India) and they hang up on each other. A few weeks later I miraculously talk Samsung into giving me a one-time extension on my service warranty. They are going to send their factory authorized techs out... Guess who? Beacon and more precisely, Chad from Beacon. An hour before my appointment Chad calls, he'd finally realized who he had an appointment with and called to cancel. Beacon sent Dan out the next day. My electrical engineer son had already diagnosed the issue ( a small motor). I really only needed someone to come out and verify the issue and order me a new part. Dan came and insisted Chad had already replaced this part. He said this dishwasher was beyond repair. He was going to call Samsung the next morning, get my $900 dishrack condemned and call me back. That was a couple weeks ago. I'm still waiting. Probably will just have to admit defeat and buy a new dishwasher. Not a Samsung. read more

Wes came out to my house to fix and LG washer. He was clean and friendly, polite and professional. He dismantled the washer and checked the connections. It may have been a loose connection because when he reassembled it, it worked again. Time will tell. I'm happy with Beacon because Wes didn't try to sell me a part I didn't need. I may need a curcuit board in the future, but so far.... so good! read more

I am sitting writing this right now as Wes (the repair superman) is repairing my dishwasher as we speak. First, let me say I have a B&B and am always looking for the best in Redding to give my monies to. When I called Colleen she heard my need and called me back to say she would get help out sooner if she could and then she called me and made it happen.. She was wonderful. Then Wes shows up and within moments knows what is wrong ,fixes it and no parts are needed. Honestly a really good experience! Wes was tech.... Visit went well (I thought).... He replaced part and said to try that (noisy fridge). It did not fix the issue. I called back next morning and said problem was not fixed. I was told I would get a call back... 2 days later I called back and was told that he was supposed to call me. They made me new appt. The day of appt I got call from Wes and he argued on phone with me. I would NOT recommend them! They do NOT stand by their work. He was not willing to trouble shoot the noise, ..."I will not come out and try to find a sound on a fridge, it has moving parts and things vibrate" ..... In my opinion, he wanted quick fix and move to next job. When I asked to speak to manager he got very argumentative and basically said I was to picky and that fridges make noise. I called my insurance company and they said he was argumentative with them too when they asked for paperwork. BE WARNED. I would give zero stars if that was possible. read more
