This is in a very convenient spot and easy to find on the main street. When you walk in the smells are amazing! It's hard not to buy 1 of everything, but then you see the price. Everything is quite expensive here, so I decided just to try a few truffles and take home some syrup for later. I think I got a small bag of chocolates for $36! (It wasn't marked, or I probably wouldn't have got it). While I waited forever in the line to checkout, many people came in to order coffee drinks and ice cream at the fast end. So perhaps this are a local hit, but I didn't try any. Everything I did order was delicious!

Amazing maple ice cream. Chocolate ice cream was heavenly. Lots of chocolates to choose from. Staff is very nice. Portions are modest. Expensive but worth it.

I always have to stop in Lake Champlain chocolates when I'm in Burlington. They usually have great deals like buy 4 chocolate bars get 2 free, etc. They have an ice cream shop inside too that's super yummy! Tons of truffles you can buy individually or create your own box. All the classics too like the 5 star bar and the pb cups. Sometimes you'll get lucky and they will have samples out! Delicious and high quality, some of my favorite chocolate. Employees here are super friendly and helpful.

We stopped by on a warm summer day, appreciating the A/C and the waft of chocolate in the air. What's not to love about being a grown kid in a chocolate store? The store is set up in a streamlined way with wooden display shelves housing packaged chocolates on one side and a large variety of small batch chocolates behind glass on the other. We were greeted by two friendly staff members who allowed us to peruse the packaged chocolates without interruption. Once we made our selections there, we set our sites on the small batch. I selected a chocolate marzipan fish, and my partner selected a peanut butter cup. Both were delicious, as were the variety of bars that we've spent the last month eating! In hindsight, we should have tried the ice cream or shake, but that just gives us an excuse to return on our next visit!

These chocolates were $5 each at my local grocery store. As you can see from the photos, they are very small, not tiny, but more short and stout but I figured I'd give them a try. I'd never seen them before, so I bought two kinds that sounded good. The texture was fine, the one with the hazelnut praline was nice and crunchy the chocolate was smooth. The caramel one was silky. You could tell it was caramel. But they both tasted like flavorless wax. You knew you were eating caramel and chocolate, but it didn't taste like it, and it was the STRANGEST thing. The texture had so much potential, but the taste was an epic fail. They both tasted like nothing, like I was just chewing room temperature wax. These being called "five star bars" must come from the price because it definitely does not deserve a five star review.

I couldn't agree more with my rating. Small batch chocolates, made by artisanal chocolate makers, are known for their exceptional quality and unique flavor profiles. The chocolate is made in small batches, allowing for greater control over the ingredients and production process. This results in a product that is often richer, smoother, and more flavorful than mass-produced chocolates. Their Belgian chocolate ice cream is also considered some of the best in the market. It is known for its rich, intense chocolate flavor and creamy texture. The high-quality cocoa beans used in Belgian chocolate give it a unique taste and aroma that is both sweet and slightly bitter. It's a perfect treat for chocolate lovers. And a Belgian chocolate shake, is a perfect way to enjoy the rich chocolate flavor of Belgian chocolate in a cool and refreshing drink. The rich creaminess of the shake, combined with the intense chocolate flavor, makes for a truly indulgent treat. Overall, if you are in this shop and get a chance to try out their Belgian chocolate ice cream and shakes, you are in for a real treat!

Best hot chocolate I've ever had? It was here, at Lake Champlain Chocolates. They have great fun facts there which would be great for kids and chocolate enthusiasts. There's vegan options as well, which is great. We got a heaping selection, haven't tried them yet but I'm excited! We 100% recommend the hot chocolate while you're there though (especially the peppermint and hazelnut)

Seems like a novel place and one that gets very busy - however, there needs to be more of a delineation of where to go where in regards to what you are ordering rather than one big line and things being jumbled. This is located on Church Street, sandwiched between several restaurants and outdoor seating for food, but the inside is a long narrow area where you can order chocolates, espresso, hot chocolate, or shakes and other items. We waited in line. And then waited. And waited. With 4 people working there could have been a better job done in handling customers - where one girl boxed up chocolates and set them near register, and another girl making drinks, and another checking people out. The were really friendly, but it was just a chore to spend $30 on a couple chocolates and a drink.

Tried a single scoop of their chocolate chocolate chip ice cream in a cone. Very creamy and delicious. I was tempted to try a Champwhich but when I saw how small it was I was discouraged. Just a little annoyed that a couple of people that ordered after me got their ice cream first. It looked like the cashier would place orders one on top of the other and the server just grabbed the one on top (the one just placed) to fulfill first. Great location and its nice to see another ice cream shop besides Ben and Jerry's.

A no laptop policy keeps things flowing and encourages folks to talk vs work. Breakfast menu is available all day while lunch starts at 11 and goes until close at 3p. We tried a few things: * croissant - super flaky and perfectly made. * breakfast sandwich - with sausage. Buttery and crispy edges toast with fried egg and melted cheese with sausage. One of my favorite breakfast sandwiches ever. * banner eighteen - a play on cheesesteak with broccoli mushrooms and shaved steak in a sesame hogie. This one had slight spice and a slight taste reminiscent of a combination pizza. It's a big sandwich and quite tasty. * oatmeal raisin cookie - not too sweet which I loved. Chewy. * fresh baquette. Bread . . . . . * maple lemonade - slightly sweet with a good bit of tartness. It was good! I'd definitely comeback here if I'm craving some sandwiches

We tried the eat the east breakfast sandwich ($11) and the vermonter sandwich ($16). I especially liked the vermonter sandwich and the bread it came on. The cafe also sells various bread items and baked goods. One thing to note is that since the cafe is counter-serve, seating is also first come first serve. We were able to snag a seat right as someone left, but for that reason I would recommend coming at a less peak time if able. August First is deservedly a busy spot in Burlington and I would be there often if I were a local.
