The course was beautiful but very unsympathetic... the greens were quite different each hole and by different, I mean the way they played and how they were cut. Parts of the course were unpleasant to the eye, as if not taken care of & holes facing other holes just asked for balls to be played in the wrong fairways... slowing down the game. There was no snack/drink cart but you could buy a plethora of beers /drinks at the clubhouse, which actually can lead to more trouble than expected. It doesn't help that I was not on my game, so I will keep that in mind and I wasn't put in the best partner group... not by the course but by friends. So, as you read this... you please keep that in mind. Would I play here again, absolutely... as I need to give it another try. Will it be my first or on the top of the list to repeat, probably not. read more

Course looks beautiful. Facilities are up to par. However, it's apparently amateur hour. I tried going to the range to practice 3 times in 2 separate days. Range was only open ONCE. Reasons were "ball sweeper broke", "we ran out of balls", "something came up" and "we had to close early". I guess call ahead or just go to Bear Mtn. read more

Course is enjoyable with great views. The biggest detractor is the poor condition of the driving range. It needs TLC in the worst way. If the greens keeper used turf mats that would be an easy fix. As of right now it is not even worth buying a bucket of balls to practice. I hope course management addresses this issue ASAP! read more

This is a great course and we love it. We used to live in Chelan 7 yrs ago and this was our home course. We have not been back to Washington until now so decided to play. The course is in much better shape than when we lived here and the fairways seem a lot less bumpy. My one complaint is the stinky gas golf cart gave me a splitting headache. Other than that not much has changed it is still fun to play still a challenge not any new houses. Great views the price was pretty high. Keep up the good work it looks great . The chef in the restaurant is awesome he makes a mean breakfast sandwich and it only took like 5 minutes. Also we liked that so much we came back the next day for lunch and I had a Hawaiian hamburger and it was to die for and the fries were awesome my hubby loved his bacon burger. The Golf "Professional" Jim Oscarson is definitely not a professional businessman. He needs training on how to be a civilized human being. I have never encountered somebody so full of himself and extremely rude. He definitely thinks he is somebody important and wants to make sure every golfer on the course knows it. The worst experience I have ever had to encounter on a golf course. Will not come back if he is still employed. read more

Tried to play this last Saturday with a couple buddies. Wasn't told before hand that there'd be a horse shoe tournament group ahead of us. We tried to play around them and ended up having to lose out on two holes. After being frustrated with losing out on two holes we tried to go to the clubhouse to at least get a raincheck to play a different day. Was told we'd only get a coupon for 9 holes after we only got to play 5 holes on the front and not even enjoyably...I gave my coupon away. Golf pro went out of his way to make sure we wouldn't get a chance to play the full 18. Probably never going back. read more

Are there better courses in a 45 minute radius? Yes but this course doesn't disappoint. I play Gamble, Bear Mountain, Desert Canyon, and Lake Chelan Golf Course and they're all very different. I love this course because all levels of golfer can enjoy a round here. I'm a single digit handicap but can have a good time out here playing with a 20. It might not have the longest holes or the most beautiful views but there's variety, elevation change, and it's always in good condition. The teeth of this course are in the small raised greens that are tough to hit and are always rolling smooth. You might be able to bomb it off the tee but if your approach and short game isn't tight, you're not gonna go low. Additionally, the staff is great, food is good, and the turn has mixed 6 that's a great deal. read more

Fun little municipal course with a few difficult holes, but nothing a low handicapper can't manage. Nice driving range and great practice area to work on the short game. "Drive for show, putt for dough" ringing a bell? Check the local paper for coupons, as they usually have really good deals during the week and for twilight times. read more

I would have given this a higher review, save for the customer experience I had after the course sent off 6 foursomes (the men's club) in front of me just as I was finishing the 15th hole. I had zoomed thru the first 15 in just over 2 hours. It was going to take me another hour to finish the last three. Frustrating! The young man in the pro shop said, "there's nothing I can do about it." he didn't even attempt to apologize or try to make my experience better, rather, he was defensive and seemingly uncaring about the whole ordeal. Otherwise, the course was in pretty good shape for a muni course. Small, elevated greens most of the holes which makes it more challenging than many munis. read more

This review is about the skinny blonde guy that works the register. He's rude and has really bad body odor. He overcharges and has no ability to deliver good customer service. When I told him I was having difficulties starting my cart, he sighed , rolled his eyes, and gave his best attempt at making me out to look like an idiot. The front 9 was relatively flat, while the back 9 had some hills. The front is also pretty open so I didn't have to worry too much when the driver sliced every now & then. Hole 10 was interesting as there is big ravine in front of you, and you can't see the flag. As with the other courses in the area, the views/scenery are just amazing! read more

Perfect resort town golf course. Isn't too difficult, modest rates, great views. If you are looking for a perfectly manicured course while in Chelan you should check out Bear Mountain on the other side of the lake. If you are looking for a fun round with friends (for half the price) while on vacation I highly recommend Lake Chelan Muni. One piece of advice for out-of-towners like myself, if you hit your ball deep into the bushes and go searching keep your eyes and ears open for snakes as I have played this course probably ten times and have seen two rattlers. read more
