I saw a review critical of the marshal. Not fair and certainly not the whole story to which there are always two sides. A marshal's job is a thankless one. The course is in a gorgeous setting. The people in the pro shop are excellent and addressed our concerns promptly. The only issue we had was with the course marshal. He demonstrated an absolute lack of people skills. He interacted with our group 3 times accusing us of not playing fast enough. In fact we were backed up on each tee by a party of 5 in front of us. He did nothing to address their pace of play. He later denied knowing there was a group of five on the course. He accused us of not checking in on time when in fact we were checked in early and at the first tee on time and teed off at our scheduled time. Cudo's to the pro shop staff Karen and Dan. They were first rate and represented the course with professionalism and dignity. The marshal Pat needs to be in a position where he does not have to interact with the public. He was rude, condescending and entirely unsuited to be in a position of representing a business to the public. read more

Beautiful scenery! Fairways & greens in great shape. Challenging but fun ups & downs. Reasons for only 3 stars: lack of signage on course sometimes made it difficult to find the next tee. Cart paths were in terrible shape - broken-up asphalt, sometimes only dirt, unable to tell if in a maintenance track or the actual cart path at times - which brings us back to lack of signage/ direction to next tee. Carts themselves were filthy inside. I don't mind old "no frills" carts, but at least hose them off between users! Last, several holes we were "hitting blind" so we would send a cart ahead to look for golfers before hitting our balls. I don't know if we will come back since there are other courses to choose from, but again, the course was beautiful & just enough challenging to play. read more

What a great place to relax!!! The crew running the clubhouse, are a top notch crew. Parker, Karen, and two Conners, work hard to keep the golfers happy, and pleased. For a golf resort, that was badly damaged, and burned, a few years ago, to be looking as good as it did, during our stay a couple of weeks ago----All of the crew and hotel staff, need an ATTABOY! I really enjoyed playing here. The prices were fair, course was in good shape and the staff was friendly. They had a bar with a tasty Bloody Mary and some good looking sandwiches. Only complaint was the porta potties on the course were pretty gross and out of toilet paper. Carts are kinda old, but worked fine. The back nine is particularly nice. Don't go to this golf course if you are a newer golfer, the people were rude and the staff had little empathy for new learners. We were trying to have fun after a long week and instead of asking nicely for us to skip ahead the golfers and staff were extremely rude and made our time there unpleasant. I would not recommend to anyone and us and our friends/family will not be coming back. I think the staff and golfers need to be reminded about what the game is about and work on how to welcome everyone. I don't appreciate golfers yelling at other golfers and lying to marshals to try and have people kicked out. People should be able to play for what they paid and they should figure out how to accolade all levels of play. I am extremely disappointed overall. read more

If you like crumbs on the carpet by the bed from the previous guests you will like this motel. If you like the 80's worn out decor you will like this place. If you like family reunions (no masks) you will like this place. If you like tripping on raised concrete in the stairwell you will like this place. If you like cigarettes butts on the lawn then this place is for you. However, the views are fabulous...the golf course is great and Alta Lake is beautiful. We would come back again..not to stay but to play golf. If they ever remodel the units this would be the perfect getaway! read more

Really nice golf course here and worth the drive. If you can, play here and Desert Canyon and make it a weekend. Prices at Alta are very reasonable and well worth the cash. Try to get out when the weather isn't in the triple digits, and enjoy yourself on the links!! read more

This course was a pleasant surprise. Stopped on our way home from a weekend in Methow Valley. It was a Monday around noon and we got out as a twosome, no one else around us. The fairways were very green and they obviously work hard to keep them that way. Several holes had hoses and sprinklers going but they were not in our way. The fairways were pretty easy to hit from the red tees but the greens were quite challenging. Many were tiered and sloped. You would definitely benefit from playing here before. I hope to come back. This is a great little course that is very challenging a lot of slope and the greens fast and little ravines to shoot over. We lost many balls. The course was in great shape and has came along way since we were here 7 years ago on vacation. The pro shop is nice with good selection. It is a little drive from lake Chelan but worth it. There were a lot of wasps every where so bee careful. It was very busy and everyone seemed to be having fun. It looked like the hotel was busy too glad to see this little course getting the attention and play it deserves. Good job. read more

Great fun until the back nine when locals or hotel guest sneak on??? We played in between a twosome and another twosome. Great pace and all of a sudden we had a single guy out of the blue pushing us and the twosome was in front of us playing at a good pace but not fast enough for the jerk behind us. Nice golf course but motel is overpriced and poorly maintained. Have been going every year for the past four years but won't be back. They put us in a room that smelled like cat pee. When we went to complain they said 'yeah, that room has a toilet leak'. They moved us but why they would put anyone in that room was really weird. Plus there are dogs running all over the place but the owner rudely told me there was a no pet policy when we brought our dog. I guess only his pets are allowed. The weekend cost $652 for three nights and 36 holes of golf, and the motel quality is less than that of a Motel 6. Ridiculously overpriced. We had no hot water on two morning and everything in the room was circa 1980. They do have two nice condos but the motel is horrible. Sad that one of our favorite spots has gone so down hill and Parker has become exceptionally rude even though we were part of a large group. read more

I recently stayed at Alta Lake Resort and the entire staff were so friendly, courteous and helpful. My rooms AC unit was not working great and they had a portable one in my room before I finished my 1st round of golf. Parker, the Club Pro and the rest of the staff were great to us over the 4 days we stayed there. Definitely will be booking another guys golf weekend next year. Golf course was in good shape and the greens were challenging for the cost of the round. read more

Ac didnt work,8-10 drunk people outside our door yelling slamming doors till after 2am,was cut off by golf cart when pulling into parking space,room was gross dirty golf tees and i think food under the bed.checked out as soon as guy at club house was done helping all his golf guys that walked in behind me. read more
