We've played golf courses all over the country, and there's just something special about Gamble Sands. The best way I can describe it is that it was simply fun. The courses are challenging enough to keep things interesting, but every round felt enjoyable and rewarding. We played both Gamble Sands and Scarecrow, and each course offered a unique experience. The views are absolutely stunning and create an unforgettable backdrop for every hole. The staff throughout the resort went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care that guests had a great experience. We stayed in the newer building, and the rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable, which is always important after a long day on the course. The food was another highlight. Both restaurants offered delicious meals and a great variety of options on the menu. Every meal we had was excellent. From the golf and scenery to the accommodations, dining, and outstanding service, Gamble Sands delivered a first-class experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to returning in the near future.

Parts of the course were unpleasant to the eye, as if not taken care of & holes facing other holes just asked for balls to be played in the wrong fairways... slowing down the game. There was no snack/drink cart but you could buy a plethora of beers /drinks at the clubhouse, which actually can lead to more trouble than expected. It doesn't help that I was not on my game, so I will keep that in mind and I wasn't put in the best partner group... not by the course but by friends. So, as you read this... you please keep that in mind. Would I play here again, absolutely... as I need to give it another try. Will it be my first or on the top of the list to repeat, probably not.

As much as I like this course, it was incredibly disappointing. From being hassled by a Marshall (…read morelying to our group about our progress ) and the poor conditions of the course. Specifically the fairways were terrible, the tee boxes were not just uneven but lacked any sort of grass that resembled a somewhat healthy tee off area. This could be a far superior course but lacked the proper care to charge these prices. It would be difficult to recommend this course to friends or anyone else... what a shame.

They are working very hard on tee boxes, greens, places that dry up. And the topography on this course makes the "dry up" a very real thing and they are working incredibly hard to keep that at bay. From the top down in their personnel, they are all working to make this the best experience possible for anyone who comes here. Do not blame management for a difficult course. This will keep you humble at times, but that's part of the challenge. From the people who meet and greet you at the carts to the people in the pro shop, the food and beverage people downstairs all the way to the top of management...there is a new purpose and vision for what this course can be and they are stopping at nothing to make sure it happens. Looking forward to changes from now to the end of the year as well as next year. They just keep chipping off things that haven't been dealt with for a while. Well done BMR!

I'm surprised I don't have more photos from Bear Creek because I've played here at least once every…read moreyear for the last Five or six. This is golf in the Methow and it's a local treasure. It seems to improve a little bit every year and it's always friendly and accessible. We played this time on a Friday afternoon, before a scramble scheduled for 4 pm, and pretty much had the course to ourselves. It's challenging but fun, with lots of elevation changes, hidden targets, and pretty views.

We had a twilight tee time, and ended up with most of the course to ourselves. Beautiful views…read morethroughout the front nine holes. Definitely too challenging for our skill set since we're not very good at all. Hole signage could be better because it overlapped with the back nine often.

Our women's group really liked this beautiful course--it's very pretty to look at the hills across…read morethe way. It has a bathroom on the back nine along with a honey bucket on the front. However, the signage really needs improving. (We noticed that at their Alta Lake course, too.) And the hole with two different greens DEFINITELY needs signs explaining what's going on. The nice young guy in the pro shop mentioned that to us, but by the time we got there a couple hours later we'd forgotten what he said and lost balls in the canyon trying to make it to the green for longer hitters, and then couldn't find our way to the cart path. Speaking of which, the way to the cart path needs to be much more clearly indicated. That's probably a large reason people get slowed down!

This place served up delicious breakfast sandwiches and burritos, which we took with us on the course. Cart girl was always there when our libations were getting low. I only lost a few a ball but that's on me, of course and now I'm going to continue playing this sport even more!

This course is terrible! Not fun for families. We were hoping for mini golf, but this was more…read morelike putting practice. No borders so kids are constantly trying to find balls in the weeds. Super hot with no shade. Quality of the green was bad too. Divets, weird hills and slopes, soggy grass and greens. One of my kids slipped and got covered in mud. You have to cross a busy road to get the putters and balls. Overall, super disappointing.

Def no tubes and crazy oddities, it was super fun. As a person that doesn't golf, it was pretty amazing to be able to have as much fun as I did. The kids loved it, though it seems to be much more adult, but we played through fast and didn't clog the flow.
