Short Answer: These guys are AWESOME!!! They saved out cat, and I'm not joking! Yes, I am reviewing a moving company. Long Answer: I tried a couple other moving companies in the Sandpoint area where we sold our house of 4 years. We need a company to move us from Sandpoint to the Tulsa area in Oklahoma. Well apparently people don't like money or are just that unprofessional! Either it was calls not being returned for days (by a company with Sandpoint in their names that had a good rep in the area), or promises broken, or just insanely high quotes (I guess those liked money). Anyway, LCM answer their phones every time, or at the least returned calls with an hour or two at the worst. But virtually every time they answered the phone or answered my emails within minutes. They were very reassuring, and proved they could be trust. Trust and reassurance was a massive deal to my wife and I, we had a nightmare experience with a moving company for our previous move, I'm sure my review is out there on several sites for them. Their quote was about $4k less than anyone, and honestly I believe they may have lost some decent money on the deal with the locked in price. So about where we lived, we lived down a muddy, ice covered, and rutty dirt road a few miles off a paved road. Snow made the road narrow (we moved in March), and some of the hills were downright dangerous. They drove the 26' UHaul truck in and out of there like pros. We had them pack for us as well, and those guys were very thorough and did a great job, we had so many little things it took them nearly a day and half to pack with several guys. The only Negative: was that they could label boxes a little better, several boxes had no label or markings at all (I suspect end of the day syndrome or we need to get this truck loaded syndrome)! So when loading say came we planned on making sure they knew what to leave behind and made sure they had everything, including some pizza. We needed to start our 4 day drive to OK with our 10 month old, and 6 year old kids, and a Dog and Cat. Well of course in the rush we forgot to put the cat in the carrier before the movers go there in the morning, she has been through several moves and freaks out. Well the cat was nowhere to be seen, our family and the movers spent an hour (they continued to work too) looking for that cat inside and out, nothing. We decided to leave (I know, horrible). Well the movers showed a lot of concern and told us if they find her they will bring her with them, and that they would give us a call if they find her. We decided to leave all our cat stuff in case they found her. We drove off. Somewhere a couple hours into Montana we received a call from the movers stating they found our cat and she is in her carrier, they will bring her with them! Apparently she DUG her way into the underside of our daughter's box springs for her mattress and they moved it and she was freaking out inside the box springs, LOL! Well on the OK side everyone arrived safely (except for getting trapped in WY because of weather another night - don't go there). Our stuff showed up two DAYS later, unlike our last move which was 3 WEEKS later. Johnathan our driver/mover was there with a smile, our cat, and some funny stories (really nice cool guy). He stared unloading our stuff with the help of some locals. It was awesome! So some things to note: 1. These guys talk about how their people are trained and how they really are different, they really are. I mean I'm not sure how else they and say it except by proving it. 2. Buy them some lunch 3. Tip them, they deserve it 4. They stick to their word 5. They actually care, not just give me your money care Do I suggest them, I STRONGLY suggest them!!! read more

THE WORST, MOST INCOMPETENT If I could give them a ZERO I would!! My move was over a year and a half ago. I Posted a review that was truthful and honest! The owner got involved and we worked out a "deal" for me to REMOVE my Post! I won't go into all the details but the move was a DISASTER! I should mention I ONLY moved 1 mile!! Boxes were CLEARLY labeled "per their guidelines" but apparently the guys don't /can't read. There's a BIG difference between basement and kitchen! They didn't bother to take the TV'S out the boxes, left the couch in the middle of the room, the coffee table on its side. They TRIED to put my mirror back on my dresser and DRILLED through the front . I have NEVER been able to use my Office. Typically a CHAIR goes in front of a desk but my chair was on the other side of the room and the Cedar Chest was in front of the desk. Not really comfy to work on and too heavy to move WHICH I EXPRESSED not to leave there! Then we have the Basement storage... you can guess breakables stacked (despite clear labeling) on the bottom, items I asked to be in front in far back unreachable, best yet or should I say MOST disgusting thing I asked them to let me know when they were "ready" for my garage refrigerator and I will pack it up! Time goes by and suddenly the frig is gone! I ask "where is the food"??? NO ONE KNOWS!!! I got different answers . Well I found it 2 or so days later when I went to the Basement which belongs to the Building and almost got sick . Yup they left it in the freezer that was being STORED not plugged in! Part of the "deal" with the OWNER Ken Wilson set up was for them to come clean with a bleach cleaner due to the chicken, meat, etc. I just took the Refrigerator out of storage!!!! I had to clean the whole freezer.... something still wasn't right so I opened the refrigerator and there was a gallon of MILK that had sat there for 1 1/2 years! The "cleaners" were also "SUPPOSED" to help organize the mess they left. Suddenly they dropped a huge box that was falling apart in my entryway. It was barely holding together so there it stayed. I could see on top were some pictures so I assumed that's what it was. BIG surprise when I opened the box. This was one of many that "I PAID" them to pack since I wasn't well. The 1st layer about 1 1/2 feet deep was the Programs you get at Football games (about 1/4" thick). It took 2 trash bags. Upsidedown was a table decoration and all it's contents were at the bottom. Next was what USED to be in perfect condition my Grandparents wooden silverware chest... one of my greatest treasures now filled with deep scratches . This also weighs a lot and should not be on top of anything and wasn't even wrapped! That's not all... under that were 4 vases YES some glass some crystal! My 2 favorite didn't make it . I need not say they weren't wrapped because I think you get the idea! By the time I got to the bottom where the was lots of miscellaneous and then.... about 10 bottles of glass alcohol bottles...I was about ready for a drink! I had a number of wardrobe boxes. They jammed the boxes into the closet so I couldn't access either the boxes or the closet!!! First I want to make clear my "DEAL" with Ken Wilson the Owner was to repair the hole in the mirror, fix the glass in my curio cabinet which they broke, have the guys "clean the refrigerator", have them help reorganize, and $335.00. Obviously I lost all my food, I had damage to more furniture than I can mention, I lived for 1 1/2 years like I was in a Storage Unit, and the nightmare STILL isn't over!!! I decided to move and I didn't realize how stressful moving could be. When you live in the great Northwest, and move in the winter during the snow season, and the move is delayed, It is more challenging. I hired Lake Coeur d' Alene Movers because of the great reviews. I couldn't be happier with the results. Ken is the owner. His communication with me prior to "a delayed move" was amazing. He was very responsive and flexible. When my move finally came, his team, Brian and Kevin did an excellent job. They were very careful with keeping all my belongings, large and small, intact and secure. Upon arrival to the new house, nothing was cracked or broken. Brian and Kevin were careful to not track snow and mud onto the "new carpet." They made sure everything was placed where it needed to go so I didn't have to move it later. They assembled a captain's bed for me and moved an extremely large couch. It was amazing to watch! They truly worked beyond the call of duty. They were so nice and helpful and reduced the "stress" of a move in the snow! From start to finish, the move was organized and went super smooth. If I could give Coeur d' Alene Movers 10 stars, I would! The cost of the move for what Brian and Kevin accomplished on moving day was well worth it. We dreaded moving day. I get nervous that everything and everyone will go as planned. What if the movers don't show up, what if the place we're moving into isn't ready for us....etc., etc. Lake Coeur d' Alene Movers took ALL our concerns away. I can't say enough about how they treated my wife and I and our belongings. Eric and his crew, Beau and Jordan were so darn efficient, pleasant and helpful. They showed up at our door 5 minutes EARLY!! Perfect! They did a quick look around to get a general assessment and then waded into our moving job. Everything went exactly as I had hoped, we had to make an additional stop to pick up some other items, no problem there, and they got the whole job done and still came in under the estimate the company had given us. We don't plan on moving again....but if we do...it will most definitely be Coeur d' Alene Movers for us with a special request for Eric and his men!! I cannot say enough about Koleen and her workers. Our move started out as a typical from one place to another easy one in done. a couple weeks before our move we found out our move in date was pushed out a couple weeks but we still how to be out of our current place on our same date. I called Koleen unsure of how to proceed, upset because technically we were going to be homeless for a couple weeks until our new place was ready for move in. She sat with me helped me figure out a plan, talked with me, and split our move and helped find reasonable accommodations for our stuff our between move out and move in. When the movers came to the house, they were friendly, so helpful, and careful, and very personable and professional. I would very much recommend CDA Movers for all your moving needs. I have never had to deal with movers outside of the Military and they made a stressful situation much more manageable. They have been amazing. I can't wait to finish our move! read more

If you are looking for a top notch moving company, Spokane County/Lake Coeur d'Alene Movers is the company you should choose. I talked to Ken and he gave me options that were clear and concise. With his input, I was easily able to decide how to make this move happen. His office team is so friendly and helpful. They really know their stuff! And his moving teams work flawlessly with each other. Such great rapport among the guys. Even when there is a significant age difference. We had a 2-stage move, so we had a team of guys move us out, and a different team to move us in. Great mix of knowledge, muscle, and respect on each team. And on top of all that, the cost is extremely fair for all the hard work they do - from the initial planning and scheduling to the final move. Can't beat the value. Working with Ken and his crew was the absolute best experience possible for my 91 y/o mother-in-law and our family in moving her from Post Falls, ID to Albany, Oregon. Jonathan & Conner were prompt, efficient and careful in packing her up in Post Falls. They arrived in Albany exactly when expected with her belongings in perfect condition --- nothing broken!! They were thotful in placing the labeled boxes in appropriate rooms and asked me about unlabeled boxes to assure, to the best of their ability, that items/boxes were placed exactly where wanted. When their job was completed and they were getting ready to leave, I remembered that I had a new queen mattress frame that I had purchased in Albany that needed to be set up. The first was a move from out of state in 2022 where they moved me back to Idaho from Utah and the second was recently moving my family's household items out of storage and to our new home on the Rathdrum prairie. My wife hired these guys and this have gone to hell in a hand basket fast for us due to inspections and move in dates getting pushed out. These guys have been great from the start, from helping us decide how many movers we would need, to how long we would need them, then to rearranging our move and breaking it up to put things in storage for a temporary stay until we can do our official move in. From arrival to finish these gentlemen were amazing! They were quick, professional and friendly. They wrapped much of my furniture in blankets to protect it and seemed to work at lightening speed. I've heard horror stories about movers going through your belongings but there was no worry with these fellas at all. This company is AMAZING! Cindy, in the office, was knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. She was on top of all the details of my move from Salem, Oregon, to northern Idaho. Chris and Garrett, the drivers/movers were TOP NOTCH as well. They arrived just as scheduled and were EXTREMELY PLEASANT and PROFESSIONAL HARD WORKERS. We had a very complicated move involving three states and two households once storage was emptied. everything made it in great shape, even the piano!
