I loved my experience in coming here!…read more The space was lovely, really old school vibe. They had a small bar inside, with seating and a beautiful patio outside. Its in the back of a lane, so its not off the street. Yet, Bracebridge is on the small side so, its pretty easy to find. I believe they also play some local bands. I'd say more about the bathroom being small and them having an ecclectic collection of photos and the like. Yet I do not fully recall all about the ins and outs. Its kinda vague for me. I find its always nice to look at that kinda thing. Makes me have an appreciation for not being the only Collector of the odd. The person that was working the day we went, absolutely phenomenal. He was on the cute side, super friendly and accomodating. I ordered the plant based burger with their in season, warmed beet and chard salad, yet what appeared on my dish was not plant based. I'm not entirely fussy about the juices of the beef or anything. However when I asked him about it, he promptly was willing to have the whole dish redone. He seemed rather appaled that he had made a mistake like that, given he was plant based himself. Perhaps it was me not being assertive enough, or perhaps something was missed when the order was taken, either way immediate action was taken to quickly rectify the situation. And it was awesome! This to me, bespeaks of going above and beyond, which is something I resonate strongly with because I am that type of way myself. Would definitely return.

Awesome spot tucked off the Main Street, well worth a visit!…read moreWarm friendly environment

Since I'm a big fan of Lake of Bays beers and really wanted to enjoy some on tap, we decided to make the trip over to the Bracebridge Barrelhouse instead, and I'm glad we did! We stopped in for a couple of pints and tried some of their specialty rotating beers. The standouts for us were definitely the Blueberry Açai Ale and the Peach Hefeweizen. Both were fantastic and really enjoyable. The staff were also awesome! They were super friendly and even gave us a couple of additional samples to try, which we really appreciated. It's always nice when the people working somewhere are that welcoming and willing to share some of the brewery's other offerings. We didn't eat this time around, but the menu looked fantastic, so that's definitely something we'll be doing on our next visit. It was a relatively short visit, but we had a great time. Great beer, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! For more brewery, food, travel, and destination reviews, check out our YouTube channel A&M Roam!

Not the best experience this afternoon at the Barrelhouse. We came here after a round of golf. We were told the kitchen was having some problems, so we waited. When we finally got our food it was extremely underwhelming. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was super dry, and there was supposed to be coleslaw on it, the coleslaw was just red cabbage and red pepper strips. The Caesar salad was mid. The others I was with ordered the Brunch breakfast plates; one had the pulled pork plate and the other had the brisket plate.... There was barely any food on each of their plates! It also looked like it just got thrown together. This place has a great ambiance and a good selection of beer, but the food and quality was not there. I don't think we'll be back.

Called to make a dinner reservation at 2pm on a random Tuesday, the mature lady sounded really stressed trying to "squeeze in" our reservation for 4 +high chair for baby and asked us to arrive earlier, so we came early before 5. They apparently are always full every night, so you need to make reservations sooner than later. Wasn't a great first impression along with an odd looking website. But when we arrived after a hard down pour we came to a third full restaurant inside at 4:30pm! It was mainly seniors and my family but it looked way better than their website and the waitresses were very sweet. All tables had reserved signs (so she wasn't kidding earlier) and service was fast at that time. Food came very fast, fresh and hot so my MIL had nothing to complain about! Didn't have room to try dessert but after hearing coffee wasn't fresh ground drip but the syrup machine kind we grabbed the bill. Menu is a bit all over the place, can't go wrong with their sandwiches burgers and fish & chips. Would go back to chill on patio next time
