The Deputy who showed up said he doesn't have the time to give out that many tickets. And sorry, he could not help me. This will eventually cause an accident or worse, run over a child. No jurisprudence was shown to me.

When I got a call back from Deputy Robertson he referred to me as Mr. which this was after I had informed dispatch that my name was Veronica and that is my legal name. Which upset me greatly not only due to the incident itself being psychologically harmful to myself because of the fact that I suffer from Gender Dysphoria, but also because of the prior bad acts that took place on September 29, 2020. Now please keep in mind that gender dysphoria is a federal recognized disability under the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act. I asked to file a formal complaint which Sgt. John Kelly followed up with me and noted my complaint. Sgt. Kelly respected me which Deputy Robertson failed to do. Then I called on Wednesday October 12, 2022 and spoke with Sheriff Leonbruno's office and was told that his secretary would give me a call back. Then I waited until the next day which was October 13, 2022 and did not receive a callback so I called again on the morning of October 14, 2022. That time I spoke with Michelle and advised that she'd have to check with Sheriff Leonbruno before she could schedule anything. When I did not receive an update by the afternoon of that day I called back again. Which at that time Michelle told me that she could not put me on the schedule and it was up to Sheriff Leonbruno if he wanted to accept the request for the meeting. Then I was called twice while I was at work on October 15, 2022 by Sgt. Infalvi who advised me he was reaching out because of the requests made to meet with Sheriff Leonbruno. Then at that time he advised me he was the community liaison and would be working with me to address my concerns. At which time instead of advising what was going to be done to make this right he advised me that is was a mistake or slip up by that deputy and the deputies in the 2020 incident. The Sgt also called me "sir" within the first few minutes of our conversation. Which clearly indicated he was missing the whole point of my concerns. He also advised me that I was not able to speak with anyone above him and that this is as high as my complaint was going to go. When I told him I wanted to file a complaint with the federal department of justice he laughed at me. Then proceeded to tell me I could do that, but they probably wouldn't do anything. I was told the department has a diversity and inclusion policy, but when I requested a policy specifically related to dealing with transgender individuals be put into place I was repeatedly advised of the existing policy. With the issue with Deputy Roberson and Sgt. Infalvi it was obvious that this policy was not sufficient. I was offered a time to file a complaint against these two individuals in writing, but my request to meet at a neutral location was refused. This clearly shows whatever policies the department has that address treating transgender people with respect are an abject failure. I asked Sgt. Infalvi over a half dozen times to make sure a policy was put in place addressing this, but my intelligence was repeatedly insulted by saying the department has a policy addressing this in their diversity and inclusion policy. The sheriff's response to my complaint is included in the two photos attached to this review. As you can see he was not even intelligent enough to know the difference between a noun and and adjective. You can't add "ed" to an adjective and anyone who has much intelligence would know that "transgendered" is not a word. He also outed me to his entire department which is clearly shown in his email response as well.

I don't understand why he's working there if he hates his JOB. I'm never able to get anything done there, get help let alone a report. Don't bother going there for help, any other city gets the job done no problem and with a SMILE.

You will not often hear me raving about South Euclid. We are within shouting distance of paying…read morethe same taxes as suburbs that are famous for their taxes, like Shaker Heights, but without the uh... nice things you associate with Shaker. There's a lot of blight, there are tons of empty and decaying houses, and we are never ranked very well among Cleveland suburbs regarding schools, property values, etc... But, I will sing praises of the police department all day. These guys and gals are great. Tonight, in preparation for this huge winter storm, I was moving cars around to shovel ice and snow, and I accidentally locked my only key in my running rental car (I was recently rear-ended on 271 by an accident rubbernecker... fun!). Oops. Enterprise wanted $57 to send someone out. Perfectly reasonable I guess, but out of the question. I've seen police "break in" to a vehicle before as well as a tow truck operator, and I thought I might be able to do it. I had a few wood shims opening the door enough to get a coat hanger in, but it was too flimsy. I called the PD, and despite the awful weather, an officer was there in less than ten minutes and took care of things quickly. He was friendly, pleasant, and funny. But while that was the impetus for this review, the real reason I love South Euclid cops is that they really do seem to be concerned with public safety over revenue generation. The Chief of Police himself told me that they do not write speeding tickets for less than 15 over in most areas, or 10 over in target enforcement areas. He said, "we're not in the business of trying to bust people just to make money. It's entirely possible you're driving safely while going 47 in a 35 in no traffic. We use our judgment." I like that. I think that's the way it shold be. In a metro area that is infamous for certain suburban forces that just loooooove to write tickets for bullcrap non-events (I'll refrain from naming examples in case they're reading), it's nice to know that there's at least once suburb where, if you're not driving like a jerk, you don't have to stare at your speedometer every othe moment.
