What an amazing RV resort, with the most amazing owners, they will go out of their way to help anyone. The place is very beautiful, with gorgeous sun sets over "Lake Falling Star" You can also get a tiny house built by the owner as well. The place is a gem in the countryside. Get away from the hassle of the city and enjoy the most amazing skyline view read more

At first I was thrilled with the place. I was consulting with a tech company in the area and they pointed me in the direction of Lake Falling Star. The owner, Kelly, got me set up and helped me get pulled in. I thought that was very nice. That evening Kelly walked by and saw me brushing my dog and commented that she didn't realize how big he was and I told her not to worry he'd lick someone to death before he'd hurt them and she huffed and just walked off muttering something about borrowing trouble while her unleashed dog pitched a fit. I couldn't even sit with a show trained retriever but her shepherd had the run of the place all day and night. A couple days later she came by and complained about the way I was parked. I mean she guided me in there, was she forgetting things? I even began to wonder if she was the same person that checked me in at that point. After that it was something every day. power cable on grass, water leaking , it was the A/C drainage. If she saw me I got a good chewing on about something else every time. it was always something that should not have even caused a concern but bothered her. Finally, I was sitting on my patio when a deputy pulled up with her following behind in a cart. She said she wanted to look in my trailer with the deputy. i declined as I had no idea what this was about. When I declined the deputy handed me a notice of eviction. He then informed me I had 24 hours to leave. I still did not know what I did. So, I handed the eviction back and said I refused the method of delivery, but would be gone in the morning. And just like that, I met another disturbed person in my life's journey. I never found out what she thought I was doing. I wasn't even sure if I had ever done anything questionable in that trailer.--NO... I was busy all the time with work and pretty much just came home, walked the dog and had a couple drinks before going to bed there at night. Strange! Of course I would never go back even if it has been a few years. Beware, not all is as it appears at that park. I have heard a lot of stories since sharing mine. Some are downright bizarre. read more

Absolutely the best kept secret in the Austin area. Beautiful park. Well kept and maintained. Owner doesn't allow junk piled up around RVs. Most RVs are long term residents and are very friendly. Very well priced for monthly rate. Social gatherings if you want to participate in them fine if not everyone still very nice. Pool and Hot tub are beautiful as well. Oh and the view of the water is spectacular when the sun is coming up or going down. read more

What a beautiful place to stay in an RV or one of Lake Falling Star's cottages. My wife and I rented a cottage for a week to see the area. We ate barbecue at Blacks BBQ, Smitty's, Chisholm Trail, and Kreuz Market. We have our favorite but all were good in their own respect. But what turned out to be the shining star on the whole trip was hanging out at the RV park in the afternoon and evenings. They have a pool and a non heated jacuzzi. At least it wasn't heated when we were there and I'm glad because it was hot out. The owners, Kelly and Walter are very nice people too. The cottage was great! It came with a great view of the lake and had a small kitchen with pots, pans, silverware and everything else to cook a meal. We ate breakfast at the cabin before exploring. Our cabin had satellite tv too. The bed was very comfortable and the area is QUIET. It's about a 12-15 minute drive outside Lockhart toward Bastrop but well worth it. There's a small pizza joint just down the road too that had decent pizza if you have your fill of bbq. The park has studio, one, two and two bedrooms with a loft bed also. I don't know how many spaces for RV they have though. We look forward to our next trip to Lockhart and will be staying in the same cabin. read more
