I generally stay for a week at a time and my room is never serviced. Trash piles up, bed is never made, towels are recycled and they won't replace the ice bag or cups. Place has potential if they would hire people who have experience in hospitality.

I had to call Hilton so they could connect me with this hotel because apparently Hilton has a mystical magical phone number that works. The parking situation sucks here too. Don't get here late because you won't find parking, and when you do, if one car parks too close to the line or over the line, this pushes all the cars into other parking stalls in an already small parking lot. The best is when you walk up and someone is smoking a blunt in the parking lot by the dumpsters as you walk your 11-year-old through to get to the lobby. The elevators are also frightening here too. They shudder and shake as you ride them, and you pray that you will survive the trip up to your room. Of course, the hotel staff doesn't tell you when they shut down the elevators either, so you may be stuck on your floor if you can't use the stairs to get down to the first floor. As for the rooms, there are marks all over the walls. The beds are uncomfortable, and the rooms smell. Our room looked like a crime scene all over the walls. I would understand this hotel being in this condition if I paid Motel 6 prices, but I paid the price of a typical Hampton Hotel, and what we got was a roach motel. I am so sad that I wasted my money on this place. I stayed here years ago and it was a beautiful hotel. Now this place looks like it is on the same level as a rundown Comfort Inn in Chipley, Florida, which was just as disgusting. Won't be coming here ever again.

Bathroom was pretty nice, no waking up the family with a shower, extremely quiet water and soft water pressure. Our room had two queen beds. Clean sheets, spacious. Kitchen comes with mini fridge, mini sink, microwave, coffee machine, and under cabinet. The hotel in general was inviting with warm lighting, a bar, breakfast, food service, enough seating to fit my whole family tree down to my ancestors from the 13th century. Service was okay, front ladies are great! Only thing was when you dial the front desk, you start with a automated voice. I requested a cot for my brother, to which it said ok and that it will be brought to my door, 30 minutes.. nothing. So we recalled and ask to be transferred to a human at the desk to which they informed us they do not carry cots. All good. Not so heated pool btw. We appreciate they work they do though. I realized the mistake immediately and contacted both the local hotel team and corporate guest assistance. Over the last two weeks, I have followed up multiple times. Every single time, I was promised a resolution or a callback within a specific timeframe, and every single time, they completely ignored it. It has been over two weeks and nobody from the property team has bothered to respond to me. Leaving items behind happens, but the complete lack of communication, broken promises, and refusal to assist a guest is completely unacceptable. If you value customer service or expect a hotel to help you if something goes wrong, look elsewhere.

Good beds, quiet and cold air conditioner, and a good clean bathroom. A couple of very small gripes. The pillows were way too soft for me. I like a little firmer. The coffee in the lobby is much, much better than the coffee in the rooms. I made a trip to the lobby every morning! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

We got to the room and the keys would not work. Went down to address, came back, opened the door and someone was already staying in that room! Talk about embarrassing. Luckily, he was light-hearted about it. (This is why it is a GREAT idea to throw the extra lock out while in your room. That said, I do not know how to combat this gross mistake if you are not in the room, but your stuff and dog is in the room.) Finally, we got the right keys. Got in, the room is spacious and pretty clean. The bed was comfortable. We went down to check out the pool and hot tub. The water in the hot tub was quite hot, but the water was visibly dirty. The small outdoor pool looked okay, but people were splashing about, so we didn't get a close look at the water. This hotel is situated right on I-35 in San Marcos, TX. While the hotel is okay and appears to be…read moreclean, it's location prohibits getting any sleep at all due to the loud and incessant noise of the interstate highway a stone's throw away. When we checked in, the parking lot was almost empty, and we assumed it wasn't very busy. Yet, the desk clerk assigned us a room closest to the front and the highway. It did not occur to us the highway noise would be a problem at first but, after trying to relax after dinner, we realized how horrible it was. I requested that we be moved, but the request was denied because we had checked into the room more than two hours before. The fact that they put us in that room to begin with was irresponsible, but to refuse to move us is downright disgusting. The management is not interested in making sure their customers are satisfied, and don't seem to care that two elderly people will likely spend a very uncomfortable sleepless night!
