I used AW on a recommendation from a friend of mine who used them recently also. When I arrived at the shack, the employee was out of the dock showing someone else their rental. As soon as he could, the employee (Blaine - I hope it's spelled right) was a huge help. Blaine gave me a run-down of the boat and off we went on our excursion. The only downfall was their phone line was down, which meant their credit card machine was down. Luckily I had a card with raised/embossed numbers to use, because they took a manual impression of my card (took it back old school). This caused a slight issue because I was planning on using a different card.

We reached out to Mike, and he got everything arranged in less than 24 hours and had us out on the water without any issues. He took the time to answer every question we had and made the entire experience stress-free. He was also extremely helpful getting us in and out of the water. We had a group of 8 and spent the day tubing on Lake Mohave. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The boat was perfect, everything was exactly as promised, and the service was outstanding. However, I accidentally went to another rental shop and thought my reservation was there. That rental shop did not tell me my reservation wasn't on their books and so I ended up renting from them, not knowing that I made a reservation with a different company (Riverstar) I ended up having a missed call from an unknown number at 12 and I called it back at 5 only to realize it was Riverstar rentals asking where I was with my reservation and why I didn't show up to get me jet skis. At that moment, I had realized I didn't have a reservation for the skis I picked up. When speaking with the owner (I forget his name) I could tell he was bummed as he held the skis all day waiting for me when they easily could have gone to someone else. Instead of complaining and getting upset with me, he asked if I had fun, was understanding about it and handled it very professionally. I am looking forward to using River Star rentals next time I visit. It's not always about how company's handle things that go right, but how they handle them when they go wrong.

***** Scammers***** This place is going to be investigated…read moreby the business bureau. They rent out broken boats that the team already questions. Tell you it's fine and once you head 15 mins from the dock the boats engine/propeller gives you issues. When you attempt to make contact with the office in our case Tammy and Blaine and explain being stranded multiple times in the river, they then force you to make your way back to a dock that works for them. Keep in mind that each time the boat stalled it took 15 mins for it to start again. When docked they could have came to our location but they forced us to get back on the water and push the boat to drive 20 mins. The boat didn't make it. After they send out a team to help you and exchange boats they then hit you with a labor, gas, repair and rescue fee which is almost the cost of the rental. The only thing they have is a report and photos of the damage but send it to you a month later. We have pictures of the condition of the boat prior to our use with time stamps because of their previous reviews. When speaking to Tammy, she belittles you and obviously has no empathy. Even ask her co workers, they must feel the same. I've witnessed how she speaks to them. The worst person to do deal with customers or work with. It's sad because we had a great experience at this resort until we encountered Arizona Watersports.
