While Howard may have gotten us mixed up, we DID call in advance and there was no winking involved; I hardly think Howard is the "winking type". There was no need to call us liars or to drop the F word and threaten to ruin his business by giving him a 1 on Yelp. In fact, when we realized there was a mix up, we were about to "bow out" of our rental until you reacted in the manner in which you reacted and Howard said he would not rent to you. Howard was in a "spot" and, while I would have handled it in a different manner from how Howard did, you made the situation worse. As for our part in the mix up, though it was unintentional, my family and I (5 of us), were empathetic but shocked by your behavior. My Fiancee & My experience was wonderful. The jet boat We rented ran great and We had a beautiful day on the Colorado River. Howard was so great at meeting Our needs. We went to Laughlin for a day to have some fun. We have called around couple of jet ski places but decided to go with this one because the owner Howard was straight forward. We got there at 9. Paid our share and we were on water by 9:30. The skis that they own run great and are very well maintained . We ended up putting a 4 inch small crack on one of the skis and Howard only charged us $80 bucks instead of $160. All good. It is his equipment and he makes his living that way. When we ran out of gas he came down and refueled for us no questions asked. Great place to rent from. They are a small shop but they have some very fast skis. read more

My cousins and I stumbled upon this hole in the wall waverunner rental shop/ slot machine repair shop several years ago, by accident. I am sure glad we did and we have returned multiple times since then. Howard is still there and still handles his business the same way. No nonsense, no upsell, no crazy $39 all day rental sign (total bs) out front. An honest price for the day, great running machines, great service as they launch and retrieve the waverunners for you at a park across the street. Upon return, there has never been an issue with the condition of the waverunner or any claim that we had damaged the waverunner. I have experienced the horror stories of other people renting an already busted up waverunner from a gas station/or similar rental shop, with a $39 or similar sign. Luckily for me, I used a cell phone to take my own video of the waverunner before using it. Glad I did as it came in handy upon the return and the owner's claim of damage. Video proved otherwise and I walked. Anyway, stopped by Watercraft Express yesterday to reserve a waverunner. Showed up today and told Howard we'd actually need 2. No problem. Howard made it happen. Great price. Great service, great running machines. I would recommend anyone heading to Laughlin to rent from Watercraft Express. I don't write many Yelp reviews unless I feel the company deserves it. I also believe that many negative reviews are posted by people who screw up themselves, and try and blame someone else for their mistakes. The unit we had ran perfectly and had small cosmetic issues but we weren't there to be pretty! . Went here twice last summer and will never ever go back. The boat broke down on my birthday 10 seconds after we got in the water. When they replaced the propeller, they replaced it with a used (already chipped one.) it ended out working ok. But then... The second time we went out, we told the owner Howard that we were coming three weeks in advance! We drove six hours and finally got to Laughlin only to find out he "went home for the day" and we couldn't take the boat out. The next day we went to the shop and took the boat out, yet again to find the propeller had a rock in it (not from us!) he charged us $300 our deposit and it was bullsh**. Never ever ever going back. I later called you at 2:30pm after we had lunch. While we had lunch the blue jet ski was anchored and began taking in water. We tried to go for a ride and noticed it would not accelerate. You finally answered at 4pm knowing that the jet ski had taken in water through the crack and therefore was too heavy. We vacation in laughlin with my family and wanted to rent jet ski's. We went everywhere and everything was too expensive. We ended going to bullhead city and noticed this business. We stopped and checked it out. At first i was nervous and ify with all the scams out there, but I gave them a shot. Price was too good to pass up. We rented the jet skis for a whole day, they even took it to our hotel (the Harrah's) we had a blast. I will defiantly be renting from them again this summer. Thank you! read more

AWFUL! Seriously these are the type of people that scare you away from doing certain things. First off I called and reserved (4) Jetskis for my family at their advertised price of $120 per ski. When I arrived the guy looked in their computer (a wall of sticky notes and thumb tacks) and said I don't see you. Ironically they ran my card the night before!!! He never could reach THE BOSS although he said I've got some of the $250 skis and proceeded to show me the contract. There was an oil fee, washing fee, gas usage fee, etc... Howard, the owner is totally legit. When you enter the building it appears dirty and a little messy. Don't worry, Howard and his employees are very professional and they help you get what you need to get out on the water. We had an accident and destroyed one of his waverunners. He was noticeably upset but he handled it very well. We had to buy it from him but he made a fair offer and we didn't have any issues setting the situation. I have rented at other places before but this one was by far the best experience I've had! They are nice a friendly and pretty good prices plus straight to the point pricing no hidden fees and includes gas most places won't do that it helps when calculating prices. The reverse lever of the Jetske broke off while on the water and they didn't charge us for it because it was simply brittle from the sun. Let's start off by saying this I have been renting skis the last ten years from various places in Laughlin as it is a family trip every year but this has been by far the best experience Howard and his team were amazing they were true professionals and really care about there customers and the price is very cheap ands there no bs here or hidden fees.. This guy is a professional scam artist. BEWARE! All of the positive reviews must be his friends. Rented a jet ski for one day. Told them we wanted to go to lake Mojave he said no problem, the day we get there he says they only launch from the river. So now we have to tow to the lake. Wasted 2 hours. No instructions on how to start or stop the thing. No walk around on previous damage. Got a ski that looked like it was in the movie water world, just beat to heck. We get it back to them and they tell us we damaged it. No way possible we did anything to it. Charged us an extra $40 for nothing. Oh yeah and do not give him your credit card info over the phone he writes it down and keeps it. (illegal) then after him yelling at me and asking me if we had fun? I have rented from Watercraft Express several times and have always been impressed with the level of service that we have received. We have never had a problem with the machines.....they have always run well. When i got their on my reservation day they told me that my jets skies where not there they may be there in 30-minutes that they had rented them to someone else. i did believe them. they only rent jet skies from 9-to-5, and it was 8:50 A.M. The worst place ever. Do not rent. I first called to rent a Yamaha but was given a Seadoo. The jet ski had duct tape on the seats and check engine light kept turning on. When I called the owner he came to check it out and did nothing. The people who put good reviews are probably family or workers trying to get a promotion. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Very rude! I don't even think they deserve a star but i had to put at least one to post my yelp opinion. And as for uneducated renters, shows how much he knows from someone more educated them him. Do not repeat history and let these guys keep making a living scamming and ripping people off. Do not be deceived by the good reviews they all have to be fictitious. My experience was absolutely horrible when it was supposed to be the highlight of the trip. They scammed us out of $800 in fake damages to their equipment. We tried to dispute it with are bank but these guys no what there doing they will use the contract you signed in the beginning of the day and fill in the damages in the open spaces then send it in to the bank with your signature that you signed to make it look like you signed it and agreed to the transaction. At this point they got you! So if you do decide to do business w/them (just don't!) make sure you demand copies off the contract as soon as you sign it, this will prevent them from adding any false charges. I believe I read a similar review like mine, so please know that this review is real. We in no way damaged there equipment, may god for give them for all the hardships they put on people that are just trying to survive like them. read more

Great experience. I was a little skeptical from the other reviews, but these guys were true to their word and we had a great experience. Great price, They charged us only $100 per Sea-Doo for 5 hours of time (we rented 3). Each Sea-Doo had a $200 deposit, that was less than all other locations I researched. Also They quoted us about $45 for gas for each Sea-Doo if we used the full tank, The Sea-Doo's were given to us with full tanks and we ran them until the gas lights came on, about 3 gallons left. Howard only charged us $33 per Sea-Doo for gas because they still had some left in them, very honest, Best part, he warned us about safety, low water areas and be careful not to got to shallow waters because we could suck up a rock or scratch the bottom. Sure enough one of our Sea-Doo's sucked a rock up and we had to call him to come and pick it up and drop of another Sea-Doo. He told me when he dropped the new one off that this would cost about $200 to repair. I was not happy but was warned before we started. We finished our day and when Howard picked us up he informed me that the damage was not as bad once he got the Sea-Doo back. He had time to get the propeller out and inspect it and the charge would only be $75. Once back at his office he showed me the damage the rock did and said that it was not bad and lowered the charge to $60 for repairs. Very honest and the Sea Doo's were awesome. had a great day and WILL go back to him next time. Do not let the run down and empty office deter you, it is not much, but I guess it does not need to be when all you really need is a Sea Doo dropped off at a dock. I was very impressed with the service i received from these guys, we lost our car keys over memorial weekend in the river and we were stuck with my husband and our 3 kids. John was extremely helpful he stayed with us until Triple A came to help us to ensure we were all ok. They also gave us a ride to a from their location to help us since we were stuck! I dont remember all of their names but i do know if i am ever in Laughlin again and want to rent some jet skis i will be coming here! they have reasonable prices and they are very honest and upfront with the fees and had no problem explaining the instructions of how to operate the wave runners correctly. Called on a Thursday to confirm two jet ski rentals for Friday. The guy I spoke with quoted me 200 for the two jet skis and would require a deposit of $50 for each jet ski. I gave him my cc information. He then asked what time I would like to get there and I told him "somewhere around 10. My girlfriend doesn't get up early so we'll be in some time around 10. At 1040 I called him and said we would be there in 10 minutes. Come to find out the guy rented jet skis to someone else because he gets people that don't show up and was expecting us right at 10 despite the fact I said sometime around 10. Rental deposits are just as much for the renter as they are the business owner. Had this been during peak time it could have hurt our vacation plans. Thankfully we went to fastrip who gave us a better price and are obviously far more competent at running a business than this guy. You would think he would call to make sure you are showing up instead of disregarding your deposit money you gave him. Go to fastrip or elsewhere and avoid this lousy business and scammy owner. He said he's gonna need credit card for deposit. He charged me $600 on my card and he said he'll return it as soon as I get the jet skis back. I picked the jet skis up on that Saturday and then returned it the following afternoon. The next day I came back to pick up my jet skis and he said he rented it out for more money $$$. Instead renting it to me for $200 each, he gave out our jet skis for $250! And then when we got back home which is Monday, I got charged on my credit card for $600. I called Howard he said that for damaged. What?! I'm like what damaged? I told him i just want my depoait money back. He said he didn't care... He didn't returned my deposit money. I called my credit card co and try to fight it. Howard said to my credit card company that that was my payment for the rental not for deposit. I tried to fight it and filed a dispute on my credit card and I loss cos they said that, that was my payment. Be careful on what you sign. He got receipt of $600 which is for security deposit... And he said that receipt is my rental payment. Im like WOW! this guy is good. I lost the receipt when I paid him cash. I don't keep my receipt that long. DO NOT COME HERE! They do not do a walk around with you so at the end any damages to the jet ski is your fault. I had the ski for 30 minutes and was almost out of gas so I called him and said he did not have more then he suddenly brought one which I assume was a broken one. I had it for no more than 40 minutes and the engine made a funny noise and would not go above 6mph. The worst part is it started SINKING! We had to wave down a boat to try and help us tow it. Howard and Renee are awesome. I called from San Diego area to get the price for my daughter and I to go out for the whole day. We went in on Monday and signed all the papers (like escrow on a house , but normal!) and went in Tuesday morning around ten. They told us a great area to go ski / explore, a few riding tips and off we went. There machines aren't brand new but they run great and we had an awesome time. Worked with the owner, Howard and found him to be an honest guy. We had a problem with one of the skis stalling and Howard came right out (we were at the Avi so its a 20 minute drive) and exchanged the ski for another one. We thought we were having issues with the second one and called him later that day - turned out that the ski was just short on gas and the ski was alerting us with a longer beep - then we learned to read the dials - hahaha! Howard was easily reachable and patient with our questions. He also seemed grateful that we called him as soon as we thought we had issues (which turned out to be nothing). I also thought it was very gracious of him to bring the replacement ski to us and not make us bring it back to him. He even had us test the replacement ski to ensure that it was perfect before he left the launch ramp. Regardless of how much you pay for a waverunner or where you get it from, skis can break down but places we've rented from before have not been so accomodating. It probably also helped we weren't there on a major holiday weekend. I do agree that the skis are a little banged up but we didn't even think about that. The price we paid for the whole weekend would not have even covered a day out of any other place in the area. We had an AMAZING weekend and we will DEFINITELY rent from Howard and Watercraft Express again! read more
