Your first impression of the pool will probably be wow it's large with so many lanes and many areas where you can just swim or float to your hearts content. Another impression might be and it was especially for me the bright blue water of the pool. It looks refreshing, cool, and inviting. Deep Eddiy pool has a oblong shape typical of large pools of its size. The pool has architecturally clean lines with precise corners. When you stand on the pool platform the vastness of the pool rushes to the forefront. Everytime I stick my foot in the water of the Deep Eddy pool, that cool refreshing feeling envelopes my body. Entry fees are very reasonable and can beas low as $2 per day. Paid parking is available in front of the pool and on the street. Nice relaxing self-care day...

Ok if you're desperate for some water…read more The water was crisp and cool even on a 99° day in August Half the pool is designated for swimming laps. There are no lounge chairs so bring a blanket for the ground and expect it to get dirty because people have to sit in the grass/dirt. There are a few trees for shade. No alcohol or food/drink allowed. I brought in my water bottle and no one said anything so I guess water is ok There is a parking lot but you must pay to park and it gets filled quickly Bike trails lead up to it Locker rooms are half indoor/half outdoor and rather dingy. Several lifeguards on duty. periodically they make everyone get out of the pool for 5 min (one an hour?) There needs to be someone skimming the pool throughout the day..there's a ton of bugs/leaves that get in the water. Also, since people lounge on the dirt lawn, everyone's feet are dirty when getting in the pool. The pool ropes had some sort of black sludge caked into them. It was pretty gross. $5 for an adult. Free for veterans.

We have had a terrific experience with Westbank Pools. We never had a pool at out prior residences…read more We started from scratch and got some leads to pool builders in the area and asked for quotes. Westbank was very competitive and guided us through the design that would meet our needs. In fact, we ended up using their drawings to secure the other quotes we got. Once we became clients, it was very apparent that we had made a good choice. They stayed close with us through the whole process. They always answered our questions and provided good, workable suggestions. There is a lot to installing a pool: there are many variables, lots of special skills needed and an artist's vision of what the result will be. They have very high quality subs that showed up when they said would, a welcome change from other subs we had for other purposes. Occasionally we would ask a question of a sub or one of Westbank's crew about an issue we had. If they didn't provide a confident answer, we got a call that evening from one of the principals, Travis or Armando, who would provide that exact response we needed. We are very confident in recommending Westbank. They get very high marks from us in all facets of pool installation. Our pool is nearly completely finished, with just some landscaping features to be completed.

I would never hire Westbank Pools to build another pool. I am stuck with a major crack and an…read moreapparently worthless warranty. The pool started leaking and crack was confirmed and reported to Westbank in September 2025. As of the date of this review, (March 2026), Westbank has failed to honor their warranty with a permanent repair. Despite representations, repair crews never arrive as promised and only excuses blaming third parties are offered for the failure to do so. If you are looking for a quality pool builder willing to stand behind their work, go elsewhere. If you are considering Westbank Pools, beware and think twice.

From day one, his attention to detail, communication, and craftsmanship were outstanding. Before we received the final contract, Nate spent months with us on the design, going back and forth on every detail and with extreme patience. He was able to provide accurate pricing on all the additions and changes. When we would ask for something he would explain WHY it can or cannot be done. Every step of the process was handled with professionalism and care, and it is clear he takes immense pride in his work. What stood out the most, though, was his character. He's honest, dependable, and truly cares about doing things the right way. In an industry where that isn't always guaranteed, working with someone who leads with integrity made the entire experience stress-free and genuinely enjoyable. Nate has a degree in civil engineering from A&M and is able to explain the physics of why we might not want to do something we think we want to do. We were wanting a special feature for the pool and Nate said we could do it as long as it was done a certain way. But be warned there are many kids...as it sits ON the school grounds!! The parking chaotic because its the school, but the pool itself is super nice. It got a little packed there for a while, no doubt. But the they offer floatation devices such as kick boards and noodles etc. There is one lap lane, I believe. The pool is from 4ft to 12'10" I think is what it said. There is a diving board as well, which is really nice. Fairly large pool, nice area. All concrete walk to and from. I liked it a lot. My kids and hubs did as well.

Was first told that we can pause the membership for less than six months and reinstate without paying the sign up fee. Later was told "No pausing". Called in before signing up to confirm if my roommate who lives in the same house can be on the same plan. Got "we consider that as a family membership as well" exact words. A week after signing up, told us the roommate can not go to the pool because he is not a family member! WTF?! Also have a major mosquito problem! Getting bites even while in the water.

I absolutely LOVE this tennis club…read more 14 outdoor courts and 2 indoor. The manager Kent is very kind and accommodating and the rest of the staff are awesome too! The bar area needs renovating but the courts are newly resurfaced and kept well. They put new LED lighting too. The director of tennis is called Rosie and she taught me how to hit and play doubles! I went from a 2.5 up to a 4.0 in just two years thanks to her!!! This club has loads of teams and all levels from beginner to pro!

From all the pool and watering hole exploring I've been up to, this has been the cleanest. Maybe there are some leaves in the pool, but the water is clear and bright. Unlike some other swimming venues with hair, twigs, bugs, murky water, and a slick of sunscreen at the top (Deep Eddy, I'm looking at you...), Murchison is terrific. The pool isn't too big, there are a couple lanes reserved for lap swimming, and then the rest is open. It's very kid friendly, as most of the pool is 3-4' deep (it makes flip turns a little tricky on one end..). There is a deep corner of the pool, about 8'+ deep. Biggest bummer is that its hours are seasonal and its closed for most of the year, like when school is in session.
