Trash receptacles and benches at every other hole, with pro and regular tees for most. Some long shots with gorgeous views of open grass/prairie and short technical shots in the woods. Users of the course seem to be good about using the honor system to pay $2/round and picking up their own trash. VERY nice and clean portapotty at the lot - course is mowed regularly. Help keep it that way and pay :) We call this course "church" because it is the most peaceful/inspiring way I can imagine to spend our Sunday mornings. We've met nothing but good people out there!

Antrim Park is a regular stop for me on weekends. It is a great place for a run or a walk. The…read moretrail around the lake is just over one mile. I usually do 1 or 2 laps. There are usually many people at the park when the weather is nice. There also are many dogs, some of whom enjoy a dip in the water. Outside of the walking trail, there are tennis courts, basketball courts and soccer fields. There also is a field house.

The answer to this is being patient. Drive down and find the 'lower' parking lot, jump out and wander under the freeway overpass and that's when you go... 'holy cow, this is gorgeous!!' The lake is so pretty, the paths are well marked. This would be a go to spot during the fall color changes as the reflections off the lake would be pretty much what dreams are made of. Lots of space on walkway that goes all the way around the lake so you never feel crowded. Shows like 1.3miles but I'd guess closer to 2.0 miles but it's all pretty much flat and groomed. If you're ever in this area, plan a good walk with your significant other, put your phone in your pocket, hold their hands and just talk about how amazing your life is with them in it. This is a nice little park, featuring a small lake where you can look for wildlife - we spotted…read moresome turtles sunning themselves - as well as participate in some catch and release fishing. There are a few short trails around that let you explore the woods a bit. The trails are nicely mulched, although the mulch level was a bit high at the time of our visit, making it a bit challenging for the pint-sized members to wade through. We accessed the trails via the grassy area to the right when facing the lake from the parking lot near the entrance (there is a second parking lot further back, located between the restrooms and a shelterhouse with picnic tables). The trail comes to a fork, and taking the one to the right took us out to a nice viewing area for the nearby creek. We then backtracked to the fork and headed to the left, which took us along the back edge of the lake through the woods, which helped with the heat and let us look for some animals. This trail brought us to the shelterhouse and we followed the paved drive back to the front parking area. Enjoyable place for a visit!

We drove back to the lake and walked some of the trails and then down by the water. The water level was really low so we were able to explore areas that are normally covered in water. This looks like a great family park with a swim beach, basketball courts, story book stroll, play areas and campgrounds.

This is where the amusement park was, and a museum in town tells more about that and the history of the area. The center of a huge recreation area, with fishing and boating. There are two parking lots at Buckeye Lake State Park in Liebs Island. The one that I first parked…read moreat was the parking lot for the boat dock. So I parked and walked around a not-super-pedestrian-friendly part of the park and I wasn't impressed. But it's because I'm dumb and parked at the wrong parking lot! When I finally found out where regular people without boats should park, I had a grand time. The regular parking lot is at the entrance of a walking/biking path that winds it's way around Buckeye Lake. I suppose I could tell you how long the walking path is if I looked it up, but I'm not going to, so I'll just tell you that I walked for about 30 minutes in one direction and had to turn back and I hadn't reached the end. It's a long path. Along the way, you'll see cutely decorated houses, birds, turtles and the beautiful lake. It's a peaceful walk, and the path is wide and nicely paved, so it's big enough for everyone. There isn't a whole lot to do here if you don't have a boat. You can walk on the path, and sit on the benches that are located every so often along the path. There's a dive bar/restaurant located not too far from the boat dock. There are also a few signs and statues near the boat side of the park. Mostly, this park is here for you to just walk or sit and enjoy it.

I loved that the kids obstacle course was in the shallow end where it was deep enough for them to jump off but shallow enough for me to stand. The bigger one / adult obstacle course was a little challenging but super fun too! I love that they require a break for guards / everyone gets out of the water. As a lifeguard myself, and a parent, I love it! It was a great reminder to re-apply sunscreen, drink water, have a snack, etc. We look forward to next summer!

Lake Logan is just south of town. It's on the other side of Route 33 and down a twisting road. The…read morelake itself looks nice with clean water. It just doesn't have much going on here. There is a small older looking marina. If you're going to or coming from Hocking Hills you likely will go right past it. It's a pretty good size lake. There's a couple areas for parking. One is along Route 664 at the dam. There's a small hill to climb to get to the beach, which isn't too dirty looking. Farther up is another entrance. This is where to find the boat launching ramp. It's next to the marina. The marina sells boating supplies and snacks. It's not fantastic but it's good for this area. It doesn't get too many tourists here. Several restaurants are located between the lake and highway.
