I have never given a fish and chips place 5 stars but this place deserves it! We came here based on our BnB owner's recommendation and the reviews I read online. We were at the beach nearby and were looking for a place to grab an early dinner. They were only doing takeout when we arrived and every order was being made fresh so we did have to wait 30mins before our order was ready. We both got the whitefish with chips. It was soo good, I don't think I can go back to haddock or any other fish once you've tried their whitefish. Their batter is known to be the best in town and it was cooked to perfection. It was the right amount and there were no raw batter bits inside like you find at someplaces. The meal hit the spot and Mr. H who isn't a fan of fried fish loved this place too!

This could've been a 5-star review, but it's not. Damn good fish sandwich and fries. The portions were generous. The veggies were fresh. The white bread bun was nothing special ... Why a 2-star rating? The exchange rate was 0% and there was a bit of fussing when I changed to using a credit card. Had they disclosed the 0% exchange rate before taking payment; and not fussed when I changed to using a credit card ... this could've been a 5-star review.

It's large with two different seating areas to choose from; one is a more formal dining are and the other a bit more casual with a great pool table. Washrooms were nice and clean, there's a cute little vanity in it We sat in the dining area this time. They have a great big balcony that over looks the blind river. We were hoping to sit out there and enjoy lunch with the wonderful view but were foiled by the weather. Next time we are going to park ourselves outside! The server was new and super sweet. Very attentive and ready to answer any questions. I got the fish and chips and my cousin got the cheese steak ( I think it might be called something else, sorry) I must say the fish and chips were absolutely perfect, moist and succulent, not greasy and limp like you sometimes get. The fries were just the way I like them too, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I had tried a bite of the sandwich and it was also really great. I think I'm going to try it next time I go there. Will be back. The food was great, love the decor and ambience, and the staff was really helpful. Thumbs up

We decided after hiking we would go here for dinner and it was a great choice. Unfortunately due to Covid, they were running on 1 server (the manager) and 1 chef and it was quite busy. Even though it took a bit longer to get our food, the manager never appeared stressed and maintained a pleasant attitude even with the delays. When we initially ordered, my boyfriend and I were worried the food wouldn't be great because 1 chef was cooking for all tables... we couldn't have been more wrong. We ordered a seafood appetizer, can't remember the name of it but it was beyond delicious. It was mushrooms, shrimp, lobster and crab baked with cheese in a garlic and lemon sauce. The sauce wasn't too heavy and was perfect to dip the bread in. I ordered the spicy beef orange ginger stir fry. It was quite spicy which I love and had a ton of veggies and beef. My only regret is not asking for the steak to be left medium. Other than that it was the perfect dish. My boyfriend ordered a chicken dish that had peppers and mushrooms on it, Alfredo pasta and veggies. 10/10 dish. Really wish we had the dragonfly close to home. If you are near Massey, ON definitely gives these guys a try!

There are a few other places to eat in the area; however, we're in a mood for a brewery. This place was clean and well kept! They had sitting on a deck around the front and along the back as well as indoor dining. Our server, Boggy, was terrific! He was personal and professional, keeping us informed and checking on us throughout our late lunch. I ordered an adult beverage and my wife ordered a peach spritzer. Their sweepstakes IPA was absolutely delicious! No question on what it was wanting to be! I decided on their prime rib burger with poutine fries while my wife decided on a grilled chicken sandwich with no bun. Our meals came out relatively quickly. Even though the burger was required to be well done by provincial health standards, it was moist and tender! We really enjoyed our meal! If we were in the area, I know we would be back often! Thank you again Boggy!

Our server, however, was extremely friendly and the reggae music playing overhead was enjoyable and not obtrusive. The food and check did take a while to come out although the restaurant was admittedly full when we came. Prices: You're looking at about $9 pints and $21-25 entrees, it's not cheap but it's also about par for the course in the area. Food: We got the lamb burger and messy fish sandwich which were both very good. The lamb burger had a decent sized patty and wasn't gamey at all. It had a good amount of tatziki and pickle onions to balance out the flavors. They do also have great burger buns that was pillowy while still having a robust golden crust that doesn't get soggy 4.5/5 The fish sandwich had a breadcrumb breading that was very crispy and served with some fresh shredded greens to lighten up an otherwise heavier sandwich. I would recommend asking for a side of tartar sauce though to give it a little more acid/tang. 4/5 We got Cajun fries and poutine fries as our sides and they are the soggier once-fried kind although they had spot-on flavors which made them still enjoyable. 4/5 We would also strongly recommend trying the blonde and amber ales which were excellent summer beers with a light body and subtle complexity. 4/5 Overall, I would say this place is a solid choice. The food has great flavor, good quality, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. The prices are expectedly high for a tourist area but not so bad that we wouldn't come back again.

We were pretty hungry so a few of us went with all you can eat fish and chips. The fries were mediocre but the fish was awesome. Each one piece of fish here was cut into two half pieces when they fried it. The fish was perfectly cooked and flavoured with very crispy breading with perfect thickness. The white fish tasted so fresh and soft. The owner was so nice to renew our fish a couple of times until we were full. The fish was very fresh and juicy, wrapped in a thin, crispy batter, the best fried fish I've had so far, though my limit was one fish, and I'd feel greasy after that. There are two sides - the bar side and a side with lots of seating. The bar side has seating as well but minimal. We sat on the side with all the seating at a long high top. The chairs had backs so it was very comfortable. They have lots of choices on the menu - I chose the Lemon Herb Ravioli, which sounded light and amazing. Unfortunately, it is swimming in a lemon-y olive oil which ruins the dish completely. If they just drizzled the lemon oil over the pasta, it would be a chef's kiss. I would recommend asking for that on the side - then you can control how much you want on the dish. I also got their "tots" on the side. These aren't your typical tator tots...they are homemade shredded potatoes scooped and fried. My cousin got the same items and when the tots came, it appeared they overly fried one of the orders so just split them up between our two orders. I ate the good ones and my husband sent back the bad ones to have them replaced. They did so without any question, which was nice. My husband had the Gouda Burger with Truffle Fries. He said it was the best burger he'd ever had. The truffle fries were excellent - served with garlic aioli. Highly recommend! So, while my dish was disappointing due to the amount of oil it was swimming in, the pasta and vegees on top tasted good, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and everyone else liked their meals (burgers and fish & chips) so I'm not going to give them a low rating. I'd like to come back and try something different on the menu.
