I have worn glasses for 40+ years. I've always heard commercials on WMUZ for Dr. Khambati and how great he is at bladeless, painless lasik. This year I decided to see what it was all about and if all the information from the radio is true. My conclusion, it absolutely is. I filled out the appointment form on the website and someone called within a few minutes. She explained the entire process and gave pricing details up front. On appointment day, I walked in and they already knew who I was. I filled out the paper work and then was asked to come in back to the exam room. The staff explained everything and was very professional, courteous, honest, professional and answered all of my questions. When I saw Dr. Khambati, he was the same way. His examination was very thorough and he explained everything up front. During the procedure, I was very nervous, but Dr. K and his assistant made the experience very calming. The entire procedure for both eyes took about 15 minutes. I could not be happier with my experience and investment in my self and my health. The Dr himself seems ok, but they charged me for an eye exam when i did not authorize, the Dr also told me I have the start of glacoma, which i do not.This office makes you pay towards your deductible before billing on the day you go in. I began wearing glasses in first grade at age 6 because of headaches caused from my eye with astigmatism causing the other eye to work harder. I heard about Dr khambati on WMUZ for years but I was always terrified of the idea of LASIK. Who isn't?? You're eyes are such a precious gift! After having two kids my eyes got much worse, I went from wearing glasses occasionally to depending on them for everything, especially driving. So I finally got the courage and made the appointment. I had eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty) in the Milford location. I was given an appointment for a consult promptly. I was having trouble with my vision from excess skin hanging over my eyes and I was tired looking. I was thrilled to find out the procedure is performed right in the office. The procedure was maybe 30 minutes. I had zero pain, and no swelling or bruising. I followed the post op instructions with icing. I'm totally thrilled with my results. She sounded like she didn't want to be there and would respond to me with one word answers. She does not sound like she needs to be answering the phones. Dr khambati is always very helpful and knows a lot about how to treat difficult eye problems. He is very gracious and explains things to you. He tries to be timely with his office visits. Don't go here! They told me my exam was covered and then billed me almost $200. Also told me they accepted carecredit u til it came time to pay for my glasses and then they changed it to only accepting carecrecit for surgical procedures. Will not come back here! read more

I was very disappointed with the service I received. First of all, Dr khambati told me I would not need glasses again and that if I did I would only need the lowest strength reading glasses you can buy at the store. WRONG! Only 3 years after my surgery I had to get strong bi-focals that I must wear ALL the time to see. Second, I am no longer able to wear contact lenses due to painful dry eyes caused by the surgery. I have had to have plugs put in upper and lower tear ducts. Last of all, the "painless" surgery was terribly painful. Dr Khambati said he didn't have a small enough suction cup for my left eye. So he had to use a larger one that "would cause a little discomfort." What a lie! So painful! Sad that he advertises on Christian radio and boasts a 99% success rate. What a joke! read more
