There's a huge rock formation that definitely catches your eye, but the path leading up to it isn't well paved. You'll need to navigate through some tall brush if you plan to climb up. I wouldn't suggest attempting it unless you have proper shoes and decent balance (or a good core!). We saw a few adventurous teenagers make the climb, though. Aside from that, there are several nearby trails that are much better maintained and perfect for a casual walk or light hike. Overall, it's a nice county park with plenty of parking spaces to explore, especially if you're in the area and want a bit of fresh air and nature.

We parked at Pop's Knoll which has a gravel parking lot for about 20 vehicles. About 100 meters from the parking lot is an area with a covered shelter with picnic tables and a toilet room. What really surprised me about this park was how well the trails were maintained and marked with numbers so you have reference points to know where you are on the park map. Consists of multi-use trails for hikers and horseback riders, as well as hiking trails for pedestrians only. A good mix of trails through corn fields, wooded areas, and grassy paths along streams. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times. I highly recommend.

There was a nice long biking trail entering the park that we got to walk through before getting to the water. The trail circles various apartment complexes and leads you to a big open space perfect for running, playing around, frisbee, picnics, or fishing. Was greeted by many nice folks walking the trail. Very peaceful.

Nice little state park for an extended weekend. Please note that there are no shower facilities or…read moreflush toilets. Vault style only. The park features two camping areas. We stayed in Canyon Ridge, which is non electric. All 50 sites were spacious and clean. The camp host and a few area residents sold firewood, which was a nice surprise The park has a number of hiking trails that are short, but challenging. Many lead to, or start at the Apple River, so there is plenty to keep kids occupied.

This is a great little park located at the northern end of Lodi, Wisconsin. It has a few…read morebaseball/softball diamonds, ample green space, and a pavillion and swimming pool. There is also a nice jungle gym to keep the kiddos occupied. The main attraction for me is that the park is nestled alongside Lodi Spring Creek, a fairly productive trout stream. Trout can be caught all along the length of the stream that borders the park. The park itself makes access to the enter section quite easy. If you're in Lodi and just want to enjoy a nice day out, Goeres is a nice spot to do it.
