Two stars is for the beautiful ass trees, nature, etc. The rest of the camp is meh. The office area is super up to date and clean and nice. Everything else has not been touched since the summer of 1867. I wish I would have taken pics of the "mini golf" because it is so weeded over, dirty, ripped up, roots that have grown have made it so bumpy and uneven that Tiger Woods wouldn't even be able to manage getting the ball into the hole. The other attraction was broken and shut down. They have a blob to jump on, a pickle ball court, and a pool that's ice cold. They do offer golf carts for a $100 deposit plus another $100 PER DAY (non refundable). I wouldn't come here again. I think it's okay for families who have small kids who aren't old enough to notice how poorly kept it is. We tent camped so it was cheap which is a plus. Some people who we camped with said the bathrooms were nice so...there's that. The floating obstacle course was super cool but not cool enough where I'd come back. There's other places that offer floating obstacle courses in addition to other entertainment.

Second year in a row we have come for the first week of July. So many activities for the kids, events at the patio in the weekends. So nice, quiet and peaceful. Just left today and already looking for to next summer. The staff is incredible, so friendly, kind, helpful, and fun.

I was so impressed with this rural campgrounds near Edgerton WI. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I loved the delivery of firewood right to my campsite and staff willing to hold my dog's leash while I went in the office for coffee. This campground is really spread out so lots of campsites, but it didn't feel crowded or too busy. Lots to do for kids and families and many fun organized events. Staff even made sure we knew where the shelters were in case of bad weather on a rainy and stormy weekend. I would definitely camp there again!

We were impressed with the tranquil, very quiet, and secluded location of this campground. I'd only recommend it for a summer visit. Its located in the center of farm land, and not near any city life whatsoever. The camp ground is located adjacent to a big lake with a beach and the Campground has lots of things to do, to keep the young kids occupied. There's a FREE 18 hole mini golf course (which is open until 8pm summer time) that has lots of animated and colorful animal characters on it. The golf clubs and golf balls were given to us for free by the girl at the front desk. And it also has nearby pool that is kept clean. The clean bathrooms on the other hand have a problem with mosquito's but what can you expect from being in the middle of no where in Wisconsin??? You have to pay 25 cents for a 5 minute shower, the first 4 minutes has cold water and then hot water comes out, so be prepared to spend at least 50 cents for a 10 minute shower, which will also give you the privilege of spending some quality company time with mosquito's of all sizes. Bring quarters for showers. Bring mosquito repellent if you plan on being outdoors in the evening. Its definately a must. The campground is not lite up too well at night time, so bring a flashlight if you plan on walking around the campground at night time. The pretty girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Overall our experience with this campground was satisfactory. I did feel that the $55 fee for full hook up and four people without cable and without fire pits at the RV site we stayed at was a little high though. I would stay there again if I drove through there once more.

Jumpy!! Literally played on this for HOURS!

Horrible place to stay - Unsafe, Unprofessional, and False Advertising…read more This was by far the worst vacation experience we've ever had. From the moment we checked in, it was clear this place is poorly managed, falsely advertised, and completely unsafe--especially for families with children. We booked the 6-8 person cabin and paid additional fees for extra guests, but the cabin barely accommodated four people. We were a group of seven: two couples, one 6-year-old, two toddlers, and a small dog. The cabin only had two full beds and a couch, making the sleeping arrangements completely unreasonable. Over the phone, they told us golf carts were available but failed to mention we needed to reserve them in advance. By the time we arrived, they were fully booked, and we were left walking everywhere with three small children. To make matters worse, the cabin itself was damaged with nails sticking out--extremely dangerous for kids. We checked in on July 3rd. No one explained any rules verbally--just handed us a folder and keys. Later that evening, my husband lit a single firework to celebrate the Fourth of July. A staff member, Eric, stormed over yelling and threatening to kick us out. When my husband and brother-in-law calmly apologized, Eric aggressively escalated the situation and tried to start a fight--seemingly provoked by the fact that my brother-in-law is Middle Eastern. It felt like a clear case of racism and intimidation. The next day, my sister's small dog slipped off the leash for less than a minute before being immediately retrieved. Again, a woman from the office came yelling and threatening to evict us. Then, while walking to the beach with our children, several drunk teenagers came speeding down the road in golf carts. They were driving recklessly and nearly ran over my son and me. Not only was there no supervision, but the staff did nothing to control the chaos. It was terrifying and completely unacceptable. After that, we stayed inside the cabin for the rest of our stay just to feel safe. This place is a complete disaster. It's unsafe, the staff is hostile and unprofessional, and the amenities are nothing like what's advertised. If you're thinking about staying here--especially with kids--do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. Not worth your time, money, or peace of mind.

Not in the winter, but in the summer we may be here 3 to 4 times a week. Some times we rode our bikes, 5 miles away from our home, to the park traveling on the ice age hiking trail and what a glorious trail that is. Once summer arrives, we eagerly await the opening of the wading pool. The closest thing we have to a beach really. The park is very well kept. The grasses are well maintained and trimmed. Restrooms are clean. There's also the travel center on the grounds, that also acts as the welcome station for Janesville. If you go there and tell them you are newly arrived they will give you a packet which includes several saving coupons that can be used at various stores and eateries. Parking is abundant and can be found at different locations through out the park. There are many picnic tables with fixed grills ready to be used. I bring a grill top just to be safe and clean when using these grills. You can fly kites, have large parties as people often do, and there are even short hikes with trail heads close by. The main attraction is the play ground itself. Designed like a large forest camp with many places to climb, run, explore it truly is heaven for kids as they run around expending energy. There are slides any one can go down. These have rollers so no matter how you are you will go down, and fast too. You really have to watch yourself coming down these type of slides. I have seen many adults land smack flat on their buttock, and I laugh every time watching them remembering my first time too. There's also rings for kids to strengthen their grip and rocking platforms to help control their balance. When the wading pool is open it gets crowded but several life guards are always present to make sure there is no misbehaving by kids as well as adults. The spouting whale slides and umbrella water rain falls are excellent attractions for the kids to take pictures on. The surrounding area also offers kids to begin their exploration of nature. There is lots to see in plants as well as bugs. Many have vibrant colors and are so strange looking that makes them very interesting. We loved coming here. It's a great way to spend family time while your kid unleashes that bottled up energy and get a good work out building his physical abilities with coordination. Many fond memories and pictures are here. Wish there was one close to us now.

He is 5 years old and made friends right away while splashing around. The breaks aren't too bad. We showed up during a break and there was an event going on (I think a lot of events go on at Palmer park) where they learned about seeds and growing their own seeds and vegetables and even got to try some colorful vegetables while being read to. Afterwards, the kids planted their own seeds in a cup and got to pick out a book. So sweet. Then-break was over and back to splashing. The bathrooms are....well public pool bathrooms which are always gross. There's vending and shelters. Also, my sons favorite part is the gigantic playground. There's a Little kids section, a toddler section and a bigger kids section. He likes them all. There's also a mechanical swing for someone wheelchair bound to go in-wheelchair and all...and swing!! The floor is bouncy, so less injuries. Plenty of slides, places for parents to sit. Wooden maze under structure. The merry go round(?) needs help. It's stuck on something so that's no fun. There's a mini house and plenty of fun for hours and hours. On days that I want to surprise my son after school I pick him up and bring him there- 30 minutes away. Just a great place to be. I'd love to keep it to ourselves, but it's too good to be hidden. Also, a GREAT little Pokémon Go spot :)

TLDR: The loaded too few tubes on the shuttle but would not give us a refund…read more We paid for 12 people to go tubing. The lady in the office picked up her walky talky and said, party of 12. Then realized we had 3 more and paid for them. The lady in the office picked up her radio and said, 3 more for that big party. We loaded up and they shuttled us to the start. There were 13 tubes! (Not sure why 13 instead of 12.) The driver said I never got any message about 3 more people (which was not true). He said our kids would have to ride in the cooler tubes (even though the coolers were there) and we could talk to the office at the end. Now the first mistake, the wrong number of tubes, it's fine, mistakes happen. The second mistake, refusing to fix it was annoying. We tubed. It was less than ideal for the kids, but ok. Finished and went to the office. It was closed and locked. Rang bell, waited, rang bell, waited, etc. No answer. (Third mistake) Called next day. Asked for a refund for the tubes we paid for and did not get. The person on the phone kind of scolded me for not dealing with it right away, which felt ridiculous. (Fourth mistake). She said she would check with her boss and call back. Couple days pass, she did not call back. (Fifth mistake). Emailed. No response. (Final mistake). Overall, tubing was ok. Customer service was bad.

The recommendation would be to arrive around 10 am. as it does get crowded. Staff working are very friendly. Fill out the waiver and pay for tubes. At the time of review, the cash price for tubes is $20, and cooler tubes are $10. I believe there was a service charge for paying with credit card. Come with a group and tie your tubes together for a great time! The staff drive you and your tubes to the drop off point. It is about 3 to 4 hours to experience the tubing. Tips 1. Wear water shoes as some areas are rocky. 2. Don't dehydrate! Bring water. Alcohol is allowed in cans. Glass bottles are not allowed. They provide you with garbage bags. Don't be a jerk. Pick up all of your trash. At the end of the route, there are garbage cans for your garbage. 3. Reapply your sunscreen. 4. Our group likes to hit Subway before hitting the campground. Something about a sandwhich in the water hits the spot. 5. Bring a change of clothes, towels, shoes (leave in your car). They have shower areas which are very nice for a campground.
