I had a wonderful experience at LKN Obgyn. We recently welcomed our baby girl into the world. Our first child. I've been seeing Dr Arigo for years (she's an amazing Dr who really cares about her patients) but because of my long labor I ended up delivering (c section) with Dr Hinkel. I was a little nervous bc I was high risk and I just felt comfortable with Dr Arigo but both Hinkel and Arigo went above and beyond to make sure I was very well taken care of. Their entire team was amazing and I am so glad I had both doctors to care for me. I highly recommend these drs as well as others on their team. Our hospital stay was comfortable. The nursing team at Duke were wonderful. read more

I hate this place. And I hope this catches your attention enough to read this. I will say that I was looking for a doctor for my prenatal care. My first visit was so cold and no one seemed to care. The front desk staff was excellent. The assistant that helped me inside of the doctors room basically hated her job and I was another woman making her day go by. So heres the real reason I hate this place. I originally went In to find out how far along I was pregnant and I was told I would see Nurse Pam. When she came into the room she was quick and careless, and when she stuck the ultrasound wand up my private, she seemed to do it in such a rush, it made me VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. She then said It was probably too soon to check to see how far along I was (which i wasn't) and just left within seconds. I then got some bloodwork done just check my "HCG" levels. (Something I've never heard of, but it's okay because I was taught by Nurse Pam what it was when she called me with my results 3 days later and said "your HCG levels are 811 so we need to make get more blood work to check again" I was clueless as to what she was talking about at the time so I said "okay... sure... what will the HCG levels tell you". And this demon of a nurse said "it'll tell you if your gonna proceed with the pregnancy or if your gonna lose it" Little did Nurse Pam know that I've been trying to get pregnant for a while and becoming a mom has been difficult for me for many years. It was cold and heartless the way she said it to me. No empathy in her voice and no god damn care at all. For this reason I will never return to this location. When I had my first son 13 years ago, I remember prenatal care being so caring and all about the moms to be! This place..... no way. I can't believe they have a devil like that working at this place. Wonderful experience! I have 4 children--2 were with this practice & 2 were elsewhere. My two BEST pregnancies & deliveries were with LKNOBGYN. I only wish I had been able to have all 4 kids with this practice! Caveat: I saw the midwives during my pregnancies (and for my deliveries), and they are no longer there. However, once I was finished having babies, I began seeing Dr. Al, and I cannot imagine a better doctor. He is kind, compassionate, empathetic, proactive, and confident without being condescending. He is what every doctor should be! He has put me at ease more times than I can count, as I have anxiety over the fact that my mother had ovarian cancer. He did a surgery to remove an ovary & my tubes a few days ago. I had never had surgery (besides wisdom teeth), and while I was anxious, having him be the one to perform the surgery and even just knowing he would be in the room with me the entire time put me at ease. If you can, get an app with Dr. Al, but I've also heard wonderful things about the other docs as well! The office staff, nurses, etc, are also great! Highly recommend LKN-OBGYN! read more

DR. WELLBAUM is excellent!!! She is the only doctor I will see. She delivered my son on her day off and throughout everything she was incredible. In my previous review I expressed my dislike towards Dr. Wilson. I continued seeing different doctors at this practice throughout my pregnancy and eventually began seeing the midwives during my 3rd trimester. I must say, the 3 midwives here are WONDERFUL. I constantly recommend them to others. To other people who prefer to see a doctor over a midwife I also highly recommend Dr. Al! read more

The worst!!!!! I recently moved out here from California. I went online searching for a good OB doctor here. I came across DrWilson...here at the (131 facility). At first I thought he was so nice with his jokes and all. But then I realized that one bad review someone had wrote about him was true. He was so rude when I started telling him about my disability paperwork. I just stared at him and had to contain myself not to give him a piece of my mouth. I'm 34wks pregnant and I'm seriously considering changing my OB to a different doctor and hospital. read more

I love this facility! Dr Wilson and Dr Al have taken excellent care of me through four pregnancies and three surgeries. They are kind, compassionate, and reasonable doctors. They do a great job of listening to my concerns and of choosing the most appropriate medical treatment necessary. I recommend them to anyone who asks. Wonderful doctors! read more

If you are new in town and are looking for a great Dr. I recommend Dr. Arrigo. She is top notch. She cares about her patients and will sit and discuss with you any and all issues. She is very personable and makes you feel at ease instantly. read more

Im giving two stars because I truly like Dr Arigo, Dr Miller, and Dr Wellbaum at this facility, but I want everyone to be warned of Dr. Bruss and Dr Wilson and why they are not a good provider to see and purely neglect the concerns of patients. They want you to go around to every doctor during your pregnancy so you'll know who's on call to deliver when the baby comes. I had an instance to where I had to see Coral Bruss (NP) last minute due to heavy contractions and the possibility of my water breaking while in the third trimester of my pregnancy. My experience with Coral Bruss was the WORST that I have ever had with a medical provider. Coral did not greet me, or my husband and mother in law who were in the room with me. She did not discuss what her plan was, she went straight to probing me. I had to ask what she was doing while she was being forceful (not saying when she was going to touch, or what she was using). She brushed off contractions as Braxton Hicks (they had been confirmed 2 days prior as labor because I was being monitored in the hospital) and when asked about the fluid she stated "it's okay to urinate on yourself." She didn't check if the baby was okay, all she did was check for dilation. When asking her our questions about why I came in, it sounded like she was reading from a book and making up what it could or could not be. And another instance with Dr Wilson-- I first met him at a normal visit and did not like his attitude. I had to later call in due to baby movement and he brushed it off as to just keep an eye on it, which is what I feel like most of the doctors do there). I also asked about a 3D ultrasound I had that the tech was sending over a few photos to the office that might look abnormal, which he turned to pure negative comments about how the tech shouldn't give medical advice (which she did not, hence why the ultrasound was being sent to the office) and that I'd just have to wait for my next visit to discuss. Bottom line, I have only felt pure neglect from these doctors. This is my first pregnancy and I wish the doctors actually cared about their patients concerns instead of acting like they don't matter. I refuse to see either of the doctors mentioned. In my opinion, they are the worst excuse for a medical providers I have ever seen. read more

I would absolutely not recommend Dr. Wilson or Lake Norman OBGYN. I used to be satisfied enough with his and his office's service for my annual exams but I will never go back. A few months ago, Dr. Wilson was incredibly dismissive and condescending about my genuine health concerns and pain I was experiencing (and still experience). He also basically told me that I didn't know what I was talking about when I said that my grandmother had ovarian cancer which is why I decided to take an important genetic screening test. He even managed to dismiss my feelings and wants for my own body and my decision to not have children by hounding me about it multiple times during just one visit - asking me about my husband's feelings about it, asking prying questions about my mental health, etc. I was there for unusual breast tenderness and pelvic pain outside of my menstrual cycle and he managed to dismiss concerns about my health and instead repeatedly and rudely tells me that he knows I really do want a baby but I just don't know it yet and he knows I'll come back and see him when I'm ready. I almost couldn't believe how horribly unprofessional he was. And even though this practice has other doctors, the office isn't worth messing with. The last time I was there, I stood 5-10 minutes at the check-in counter without so much as being acknowledged by all of the people walking around in the office. They also take days to call you back or sometimes just don't call you back at all. I don't know how the office staff and Dr. Wilson treat patients like this and manage to keep any patients at all. read more

The organization of this place is unreal. As mentioned before, don't expect to speak to anyone on the phone. Doctors are generally very friendly but you are treated like just a number here. Beware, and if you can find another OB/GYN in the area, do so. read more
