Messaged to get a quote to pump out our septic system since the company we had been using for the past 8 years no longer does it. This is also the closest company to our house that does septic system pumping. They quoted us $290, not the worst but not the best quote either. The killer was they wanted $30 per foot per side to dig up the ground to uncover the access port. At that rate it would have cost as much or more to uncover the access port than the septic pumping itself. Unreal! Found a company in Charlotte, Septic Blue to pump out our septic system, including digging up the ground to uncover the access port for just $274. read more

DO NOT USE LAKE NORMAN SEWER & SEPTIC We were quoted $3,000-$3,500 + any taxes & "repairs" for a septic rejuvenation of our drain field. Lake Norman Sewer & Septic said "they don't guarantee anything, it's 50/50 if it will even work". We scheduled them to come do the rejuvenation. We were told that it's a multiple day process. The technician (Ian) was very vague about when he would be coming back out after the first day. He never showed or called on day three when he said he would. I called the office to see why he never showed, and the front desk receptionist (April) proceeds to tell me that she could "probably" have someone out around 2pm to finish the job. I told her that I needed more certainty than "probably" since I had been sitting & waiting all morning. She puts me on hold. She didn't have me on mute & I could hear her cussing me in the background saying "this is not my problem, I'll tell her to go F off". Once she comes back to the phone I let her know I just heard everything she said, and I wasn't happy. I asked to speak to her superior (Cindy). I summarized everything that had happened to Cindy & she proceeds to tell me that April tells her that I have been nasty since the get-go. So untrue. Cindy proceeds to scream at me on the phone. Very DISAPPOINTED!! I scheduled a time for my septic tank to be pumped & my lines marked. I scheduled about a week in advance and made arrangements to get off work to meet them at the scheduled 3 p.m. time. The driver called me at 11 a.m. to tell me that they were finished with their morning appointments, so they wanted to come earlier, perhaps 2. I made further arrangements to leave work and rushd 45 minutes to get to the home that needed servicing. I was driving, and the service man called again at 1230 to tell me he could "not wait any longer" and we would have to reschedule. Really poor business practice!!!! read more

I used this company for a repair in October 2018. I began having an issue with the same device in August 2019 on a Saturday. I called them to explain the issue. The part is still under warranty but they still wanted to charge me $320 for a service call plus labor. My options were to turn off the water for the weekend, pay them $320 plus labor or to use another company. I contacted another company. Charging a customer $320 for service call on a repair or part that is under warranty is outrageous. I would never recommend. read more

They made no effort to refill the holes they dug properly, I was charge $100 extra, $360 total for extra digging (they were only on my property for 30 minutes), their truck dripped oil on and down my driveway and in the street and they did not respond to my voice mail. read more

I had previously worked with Lake Norman Sewer and Septic. They installed a new lift pump less than a year ago. The pump started to alarm, so I contacted them again. The service rep opened the tank and saw that the float was caught on a cinder block that the previous rep used during installation. He twisted the pump, and it began working. The tech told us that the issue was due to the way they installed the pump, however, the company initially refused to reduce the service charge, which was double since the call was a weekend call. After arguing, they did reduce the charge by $50, however, I ended up with a $245 bill, that their own rep stated was the result of their poor installation. I'll never use them again. Had an apt for any time between 9am and 12 noon. No show, no call. Called at 1:30 pm they said they were busy, guess their phones were out til I called them. I canceled appt, will find someone else to do the work. Not a good way to do business as far as I'm concerned! read more
