Had Lake Orion roofing install a new roof 15 years ago and now I had some shingles come off the roof called the office. Spoke with the office personnel and they requested I send them pictures which I did. I was willing to pay for the repair I was told someone would contact me; however, they never even returned my phone call. If you can't service your existing customers do you really want them to do your roof. I called Arnold roofing they were out the next day and took care of my problem. During the recent wind-storm, I lost a single shingle. I contacted Mark at Lake Orion Roofing and explained the issue (it was a very minor repair issue, especially for a roofing company). However, Mark had Brian come out the following morning and discovered where the missing shingle was torn off at, (the peak), and replaced it with a new shingle. I am so impressed with LO roofing's immediate response to my service request, given how small of a repair it turned out to be. With the recent high winds blew shingles off of our roof and we contacted lake Orion roofing company who had originally installed the shingles on my roof. The roof wasn't under warranty and they still came out and fixed the shingles and stood by their work. They came out promptly and were very professional, thank you to Brian Schwartz and lake Orion roofing for the great job!! I contacted Lake Orion Roofing to get an estimate for a replacement roof as I thought I had it done 30 years ago and that I should consider a new roof. The salesman Brian came out and took pictures and spent quite a bit of time assessing the roof condition. He surprised me when he said that it looked like there were multiple layers. I thought it hadn't been done in 30 years. After some discussion we realized that when I had an addition added about 10 years ago, they probably recovered the whole roof so there was consistency in appearance. I did not remember that. He said that I had a couple more years before I needed to redo the roof. I appreciated his honesty. read more

Still had my info and were able to walk me through the process and schedule me right away. Karen responded to all my little questions and made it a painless process. As a consumer, doing business with Lake Orion Roofing in Clarkston was the biggest mistake I've made. I regret the day I called this company to request an estimate. I was impressed with the salesman and fell for the binder full of glossy fluff. The initial contact was positive and I looked forward to having my roof replaced due to curling shingles. I signed a contract and the nightmare began. The crew that was sent to my home had never worked for Lake Orion Roofing. The crew smoked dope on my property. The three day job turned into several weeks. The crew was often "no show." Within 30 days of the roof replacement we had a downpour. I had 11 water leaks that I had never had before. Lake Orion Roofing did not respond to my calls or registered letter. A personal visit to Lake Orion Roofing to speak with Mark Southern (owner) was not beneficial as he would not avail himself to chat face to face. I attempted to resolve the leaking roof with the assistance of an attorney for approximately one year. Meanwhile the invasive water developed mold. My blood was drawn to determine the impact of the mold. I pegged the charts. Long story short, the home was foreclosed. Due to a pre-existing pulmonary issue, I could not live in it. Lake Orion Roofing and Mark Southern never did man up and correct their shoddy workmanship. The experience was a consumers nightmare. Save yourself from Lake Orion Roofing! read more

If you had your roof done by this company, do yourself a huge favor and have a professional inspect the work. We had a new roof put on several years ago. We thought we did our homework. Lake Orion Roofing was not the cheapest bid we received, but knew how important a roofing system is to the value and safety of a home. We recently noticed cracks in the ceiling of garage and family room. After inspection, we discovered the cracks were caused by water leaks due to improperly installed flashing around the chimney. The flashing was actually collecting the water which them ran down the sides of the chimney. Lake Orion said the warranty expired on the workmanship and refused to stand behind their work. Unfortunately most of the repairs were not covered by home owners insurance. Buyers beware! read more

I had a new roof put on by Lake Orion Roofing and have had nothing but trouble. The owner wanted to argue with me that the three leaks that developed after the new roof was put on was not due the the new roof. Now after 5 years and 7 independent repairs I am resolved I need to have the whole roof redone. This time I am going to be diligent in my effort not to hire a crook again. read more

Do not hire Lake Orion Roofing. Our new roof started leaking within the warranty period. Tried contacting Lake Orion Roofing and they were unresponsive. Now, there is another leak around a recessed light in the bathroom, and it is past the warranty. I'm going to have to file an insurance claim to have it fixed. read more

Due to the storm that just came through it started raining in our foyer. We've only been in our house for a year we knew the roof was under warranty from the previous owners. We got our warranty paperwork together & called the company for someone to come out. The guy eventually came out 2 hrs after we called. He went on the roof to look at the damage & was saying what a bad job of installation..and on and on about the shotty work that was done. When we showed him our warranty he said that this was not covered. So even though the guy came out and admitted to bad workmanship, he said they are not responsible for anything! We also have interior damage from the water. What a joke.. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more
