I am so very grateful that our insurance company assigned Bloomfield Construction to assist us with re-siding our house. What started as a very stressful situation and lasted for months due to the insanity of supply-chain madness, ended on such a sweet note. No matter the time, money, concern the outcome was worth it all. Bloomfield Construction (BC) employees were there to guide and inform us every step of the way. As is expected with large projects, issues arose but those issues were minimized due to the quick response and professionalism from the BC team. Not only did out home come out stronger, safer but thanks to the quality of the work, it came out much prettier. If you have a need to use this company's services, please reach out to them, you will not regret it. P.S. To some of the negative reviews I have read, these people need to keep in mind that BC does work with external vendors and they do address each and every concern. Some slack and common courtesy goes a long way on both sides of the isle. read more

AVOID! My insurance company sent them out for my flooded basement. They came out 7 hours later with a mini pump and a garden hose that they ran to the side of my garage. My garage flooded due to their ignorance. 18 hours later I still have 6 feet of water in my basement and everything in my garage is in water. Repeated calls to Nick Luigjuraj were unanswered. The worker that finally came out was rude and obnoxious. DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSE! read more

Two years ago Bloomfield Construction did a full exterior remodel of my home (roof including roof deck and ice shield, and shingles, gutters, soffits, spray foam insulation, siding, paint, windows, skylights, and more, This was nearly $80,000 of work. During the work the insulation sub-contractor, RetroFoam of Michigan, fell through my roof twice, sprayed foam insulation all over the interior of my new bathroom, they never fully fixed the bathroom, or reimbursed me either. Right after the project was completed I started noticing a lot of very high humidity in the house (over 70%) and my living room ceiling started cracking. Bloomfield Construction came out several times to look and decided to skim coat the ceiling for me. This addressed the cosmetic issues but the humidity was an ongoing problem. Then a year went by (this past fall) and my ceilings all began cracking and caving in. Large sections were coming off and wet crumbly hunks and brown water was dripping through. I started calling the contractor (Bloomfield Construction). It took six months for them to act on this and it wasn't until I called the city inspector to have a look and I paid another insulation company to come out and give me an opinion. The insulation that was put in was the wrong kind of insulation and was put in incorrectly, and was leaving open gaps which was making condensation inside of my roof structure. Essentially I had a giant wet sponge sitting inside of my roof (cathedral ceilings) and it was wet in there for a long time growing mold. I was moved out of the house and all of my belongings were piled in my basement without my consent. I was told everything would be moved off site. They tore out my ceilings in the entire house along with all the electrical wiring and light fixtures. The house sat like that for months. I was promised they would do all sorts of extras to make up for all of this hassle, but when I asked the owner about it he informed me they would if I paid them to. He also promised this would be done quickly with the top priority and I could trust him to make me whole. Meanwhile I bought a new house because the amount of mold on my roof was insane and Bloomfield Construction was refusing to replace the roof. I had to fight with them to move my things to my new home, and there is still nearly half of my belongings in the basement of that house filled with mold. Bloomfield Construction has been unwilling to clean my belongings or move them out of the house. I secured my own quote from the insulation company that I consulted with to do the re-insulation and provided that to the contractor. They are arguing about using the company I trust, because they prefer cutting corners with someone cheaper they found. Considering that very thing is what got us into this to begin with I am not okay with that. During the project they didn't get final inspections and got in trouble with the city. I am disgusted that Bloomfield Construction is trying to make a profit from this warranty work while I have been moved from my home, TWICE, separated from my belongings, impacting my ability to work (I see clients in my home) and it's not possible to work in this way, so I'm losing a lot of money. I also am losing money on the dividends and interest from the money I had to pull from my retirement account to secure appropriate housing to live in since this clearly is going to take a lot longer than promised. I am not at all comfortable living in that house without them replacing the molded roof and framing. Then there is the impact on my ability to sell that home for it's worth after this. I was originally told that they would take care of me, I would be made whole, and it would take 4-6 weeks tops. I still have nothing in writing, I'm losing money hand over fist, the value of my home is basically destroyed, the amount of stress and anguish over this is impacting my health. There is no accountability, and terrible communication. This is not how you handle a major screw up Jeff, and I'm fed up. read more

my condo association hired Bloomfield Construction to re-roof our 20 year old units. They are professional, honest, and knowledgeable. We were constantly updatEd daily on work completed and what the plans were for the next day. The quality of work is top notch along with the the Project Manager and Owner being involved from start to finish, we knew exactly what was needed for each unit and cost of any unexpected repairs. I Wish I had read these reviews before I wasted 5 months and Hours of time spent meeting with Bloomfield Construction. They are by far the worst company I have ever worked with. We spent over 5 months and dozens of meeting to design an reside our house using Hardie cement board board, and natural cider. We spoke with our project manager Joe on Friday 10/21/16 and said we were ready to sign and get started. Joe said he would get the final agreement to us on Monday 10/27/16. This did not happen, so we called and text him with no answer. Finally on Thursday 10/27/16 Joe actually responded to one of our calls. He TEXTED us that they are going to walk away from the Job. We called and asked why, he said his VP made the decision and it was not up to him. He told us "The reason the VP wanted to walk was because they could do jobs that wouldn't take as long as ours and charge the same amount". If you value your time, DO NOT contact Bloomfield Construction. They do not care about your time, they will "walk away" from your job after you agree to it! ***** Updated to Jeff's Response***** Jeff, love your side of the story. Just proves how little you know about your business, or that you are blatantly lying? First of all my wife's name is not Hanny. Second the original "call to terminate the business relationship" was not done through phone communication. ( I have added a screen shot of the text message from Joe) Third the reason it took so long to make decisions was because Joe would show up to meetings unprepared, and unable to answer questions regarding the use of certain products. Fourth I didn't offer to buy siding product to save money. I actually wanted to use tiger wood instead of cedar for the accent pieces. We found a soft spot in our roof and had 4 companies come out to quote us. Jeff was the highest quote but we liked him so much we tried desperately to make it work. He not only instigated the idea of punching a hole through the roof for a much needed bathroom vent but also walked the roof and thought of potential problems that the other companies didn't even notice. Thorough doesn't even touch on how meticulous he was. Even though we didn't get the opportunity to go with this company I'm hoping this review will help others recognize the quality of this family owned business. Thank you Jeff! Good Luck! The representative that came out, walked around the house, took notes, handed me his business card and promised a quote within a few days. A week passed. No quote. I called. The numbers on the business card had been disconnected. I googled the office and called. Apologies galore from the person answering the phone. We confirmed email/contact info and a they promised a quote to follow. I never received the quote. If they are too busy to provide a quote for an admittedly small job, the very least they could have done was say so. read more

When a water main was broken right outside of my home while I was out of town, my basement flooded rather quickly. I arrived home late from a trip and discovered the water, I called Bloomfield Construction in the middle of the night and they responded immediately. They brought out huge drying machines, cleaned out the entire basement, removed the mold, disposed of the damaged contents, and coordinated with the city. This company was not our choice but they are part of the network the insurance company uses. Bloomfield Construction was sent to me, by my insurance company, for water damage in my basement. Nick didn't return my phone calls or handle the job correctly. My home sat for over three weeks and was not re-mediated properly. I had to move out of my home and have been out for over a month. Beware- Bloomfield Construction is not reputable. The insurance company hired them for water damage remediation. They handled that well so we decided to hire them for the restoration. They were active and eager for our business and to do the job at the beginning. They appear reputable and knowledgeable. When it came down the doing the job they quit after 6 weeks me taking time off work and numerous phone calls with the Bloomfield team and my insurance company. They also work with very shady suppliers who we caught in a number of lies. The insurance company had difficulty getting the information they needed as well. They left us with no work done or even the beginning of a plan to find a new company. Do not hire them, you will be really disappointed. read more

After having a minor flood in my home i was directed to Bloomfield Construction by my insurance company. They started from day 1 with water extraction to repairing and replacing the damage in my home. During the water extraction part the employees that came out were excellent and did a very professional job. During the removal phase of the old hard wood floors things got a little crazy. The employees that came out had damaged the newly painted walls in my home and didn't do that great job of cleaning up. I then had to have a supervisor come out and take a look at all the issues. The supervisor was very apologetic and had all the issues taken care of. While i understand that issues come up on anything like this. The biggest issue is that due to the damage that was created by the employees it took longer for the house to be back to normal. Again, this is not uncommon with any type of construction or restoration and understandable. The contact persons at each point of the restoration process are very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. I would recommend them for work to be done. read more

We sent the note below to Bloomfield after they replaced our roof. I wanted to take a moment to send you a message about the great job your team did at our house; the work was outstanding. Jeff coming out to walk through and assess the damage as well as walk through the process with me and taking care of the claim with the insurance company being seamless. He took the time to go over it line by line with me so that I could digest all of it and feel comfortable with the process. Anthony and his team did a great job on the roof from the start I was very comfortable with him. He stopped introduced himself walked me through his process on how they were going to do the job (they were expecting weather that day) and made it clear that they would be working in sections so that when the rain started, they could dry things in quickly and would be back the next day to finish. When I got home that night from work I saw all the tarps and everything covered up very nice; I was pleasantly surprised at how well they cleaned up the area even with the rain to leave as small of a footprint as possible. The next day bright and early they were back at it and got their work done. Anthony filled me in on the plan of attack let me know of any areas of concern etc. and off to work they went. When I had to bring my 6yo daughter out to go to the bus, I thought it was very nice that all the workers stopped for a few minutes and waited until she walked out and passed to a safe area, so she didn't get hurt or scared. Nobody had to say anything they were just paying attention. When I got home that night from work, the roof was done, and there was not a scrap or a nail to be found anywhere, aside from the new roof you would never have known the amount of work that had gone on their over the previous 48hrs Anthony and his team left that place spotless. I was looking for a quote to replace a bedroom window through the Andersen Windows website. I received a call from BC and set up a visit for the estimate. An hour before the scheduled visit, I received a call from Joe/John(?)-asking if I could text him a picture of the window-he was cancelling his in-person estimate. I complied, and he said he would talk to his supplier and call back on Monday with an estimate. Never did hear back. However, luckily, the Pella contractor did show up-ended up getting two rooms and 8 sunroom glass doors replaced. read more

Update to my previous rating on this company. I have just learned that the necessary permits for work they have already done on my house were never pulled. So a wood burning stove that was installed wrong was never permitted. Complaints are filed with the state. read more

I just had a new Landmark Pro by CertainTeed roof installed at my home. I researched 3 top roofers and chose Bloomfield Construction because Ben, the contractor, was obviously a true professional who was passionate about his company and their ability to perform a great job. They did indeed do that! I feel my home is a standout in the neighborhood. i know I have a quality roof and quality installation. Waldek's crew could not have been more efficient and professional. They took great care to protect the landscaping and cleaned up beautifully each day. I had a party an hour after they left. Everything looked great! I contacted Bloomfield Construction to obtain a quote for repairing damage related to a water leak in my home. We also wanted to have some remodeling quoted at the same time (and mentioned this during my initial call to the company). During the scheduled visit to my home, the representative of the company jotted down notes and mentioned names of coworkers that would need to be brought in for a final estimate. He concluded the visit by saying that he could not provide an estimate until we provided him with a copy of the insurance estimate. Within a week, we received and forwarded on the insurance info. After a follow up the next week, he indicated he would be reviewing. No word for a few days, so I followed up. He still hadn't even reviewed the info and indicated I wouldn't have anything until at least that Friday. A day later, I received a call saying that they wouldn't be quoting because they are "too busy". While I appreciate this information, why didn't you explain this three weeks prior when I called to setup the review of the project? It was a waste of my time and we still have water damage that is potentially and likely molding in my walls! read more
