We've done two shows now at the Lake Park Black Box. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Fabulous place to see a show and support artists!

Won some Yelp tickets for the Amy Winehouse Tribute concert for a Friday evening! Pretty exciting cause I like her music :) Went down the street for a snack first (Brick & Barrel Gastropub- check it out!) since I had some time to spare. Figured to get there early in case parking was an issue. But it wasn't surprisingly. Oh, there's also a tattoo shop nearby in case you'd like one before heading to the theater! lol.. So when checking in the staff was very welcoming, though they were unaware there was a "Free Popcorn with Check-in" promo. The stage was pretty interesting! And the patron space is very generous. There were tables set up and seats behind them. The Amy Winehouse Tribute band started pretty promptly and with SUCH high energy!! It was a 10 piece band, and these guys look like they've been at it together for years. Smooth, in tune, impactful! The main singer "Amy" had a phenomenal soulful voice- much down the lines of Amy herself! The wind instruments (trumpet, sax) were FAB!!! All musicians did their respective solos, which were so fun! It was a great time!! :)

1-Star Review - Very Disappointing Experience…read more Lake Pavilion in West Palm Beach is a beautiful venue, but unfortunately, our experience with Christopher T. Burdick, Community Events Specialist, was extremely disappointing and stressful. Christopher was very disorganized and created a great deal of stress for us at the last minute. There was significant confusion and poor communication regarding documents that had already been submitted electronically to Tracy. We were repeatedly asked for paperwork that had already been provided, which made the entire process unnecessarily complicated. The parking situation on the day of the event was especially frustrating. If the venue is going to be so strict about paperwork and procedures, they should also have a clear and organized system for vendor parking. Parking spaces were not numbered, making it extremely difficult for nearly 20 vendors to know where they were supposed to park. The parking permits that were supposed to identify authorized vehicles were not properly provided or explained to us in advance. Instead, they were handed out on the day of the event without clear numbering or instructions, creating unnecessary chaos and stress. Even more disappointing, our contract stated that vendor setup would begin at 1:00 PM, yet the doors were not opened until approximately 2:00 PM. Nearly 20 vendors were left outside in the rain with all of their equipment and supplies for about an hour, unable to enter and begin setting up. This caused significant delays and affected our event schedule. It is very disappointing that such a beautiful venue can have such poor organization and communication. Instead of making the experience easier for their clients, the process felt unnecessarily stressful because of excessive paperwork requirements, lack of communication, and a lack of practical assistance when problems occurred. The venue itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, the organization and customer service we experienced were not acceptable. I sincerely hope management reviews these procedures and improves communication, vendor access, parking organization, and staff coordination for future events.

You park and drop off the items you want to take with you. You then drive your car to the back lot which is unpaved. If you don't park there you will have to pay for parking at the marina on top of your $12 round trip ticket to the island. The walk isn't very far and it's worth it to avoid paying for parking. After your day at Peanut Island you can stop for a drink at the marina's lovely new Rafiki-Tiki bar. The marina has kiosks that rent paddle boards, kayaks, wave runners, and other boats. You can book a scuba diving or fishing charter boat as well as take an Eco tour. There is a conference center with a ballroom and open roof top space that is available for weddings and other events. An event that is held here and open to the public is the outdoor tiki market with tiki items for sale, music, and kid friendly activities. A listing of the market dates and other events can be found on their website calendar. I was very impressed with how new and nice everything looked here. The security was abundant so I felt safe leaving my car and they were happy to answer all of my Peanut Island parking questions.

Soon my wonderful wife came down with our daughter and her friends visited for their Spring break, Mar., 2025. Then the three of us visited in Jan., 2026. We visited for six nights on this trip; after a longer-than-planned travel day (the airline routed us to the wintry north of Detroit in order to fly south... a nice compare-and-contrast we appreciated after-the-fact), we were pleased to meet Shawna in person; Shawna had been talking with my wife pre-arrival, and provided a de-stressing welcome. For this trip, we rarely left the property, in most part because I worked most of the days, in the room (see below). We did enjoy making food for ourselves in the room; there are two Publix, one just across the bridge and another just north, heading to Jupiter, maybe and extra 3 minutes further away. We enjoyed food at Reflections, including: - Sunday night special... ribs !! and a Miami Vice drink, while watching some of the football with the many other guests - burgers for lunch, including the especially good Rodeo Burger - with cheese and bacon!! - good drinks, with and without alcohol (alcohol-free pina coladas are good for any/all ages!) - gluten free pizza and wings The Activity Center offered 21 / blackjack, which was fun. We enjoyed a bit of soccer on the turf field between buildings. The hot tubs are nice, night and day Fun on the beach, getting sun, building sand castles, and walking along and enjoying the surf. The eastern-most point in Florida is about a quarter-mile to the left / north... you can see it from Oceana Palms once you know where to look... it is the one rocky outcropping that is present; just use a map on your app to confirm you are there... pretty neat! We look forward to returning soon. - - - Working in the room Part of the plan was for me to work most of the days, which was fine - the desk next to the bed is just right... has the power and the room has the wifi, and the desk, at least in our room, faces west and offers a great view, good for a brief mental break, and good for getting the eyes to focus further away than just the screen. - - - Location Barely 15 minutes north of West Palm Beach International airport (PBI) Barely 10 minutes from the St. Louis Cardinals' spring training facility at Roger Dean (car dealer) Stadium Barely 15 minutes from Bissinger's Palm Beach Boutique ----- ----- -----

But once you step outside your room door, it's like you've entered a completely different (and much worse) property. Service here is borderline nonexistent, especially in the kids pool area. We stayed during a busy period and the kids pool zone was an absolute disaster. Zero staff presence, no lifeguard or attendants in sight, and it was so overcrowded that it felt unsafe. Parents were on edge, kids were bumping into each other constantly, and there was no organization whatsoever. It was pure chaos. The resort was beyond packed. Elevators regularly had long lines of people waiting just to go up or down. Bar was unserviceable. People on top of eachother food going to wrong tables. Disaster. I've stayed at busy hotels before, but this was next-level. The concierge was an absolute joke. When we asked for recommendations or help booking activities, the responses were generic, unhelpful, and felt scripted.
