It was a semi random night last week that I ended up at Respectable Street. There is a old rockabilly band I've always liked, the Reverend Horton Heat, and they were coming to South Florida for 1 show. It was at this joint "Respectable Street" I had never heard of. I asked around and a couple friends said they didn't care for it. Boy were these off on that assessment. I arrived Sunday night plenty early for the show. I got a chance to hang out back in their courtyard, which was a nice spot to chill for a bit. There's a full bar out there, a large tree for shade and plenty of spots to sit for a minute. They have a couple cool blowups including this elephant. a Florida afternoon shower started though so I went in to catch the opening act. They were pretty solid. The room had good acoustics overall. I grabbed a drib here and had great quick service. For the show I was close to the stage. Its only about 3 feet off the floor so I really felt right on top of the show. After a great show I called it a night, and made note to tell people about this venue that's doin it in West Palm.

Nice small venue where you can get intimate with your favorite bands. I will definitely be back for another show.

Pros: I hadn't been to this venue in about 15 years (I live about 1.5 hours away) and I was pleasantly surprised that they have made it soooo much nicer! The space somehow looks bigger. It's well maintained, so although it's a dive bar of sorts, it's actually not grimy at all. The outside area was so chill and they had neat glow in the dark art. Tons of parking all around the area. Cons: limited bathroom stalls.

Punk music has a certain juxtaposition between normalcy and mundanity that almost grounds you. You know what they say...Anyone and everyone is just one pair of Doc Martens away from a revolution. Well, walking into Respectable Street is certainly one of those balancing acts we all should enact every so often. It's grungy. It's got grit. There's personality for days. Most importantly, it never goes out of style. Located right on Clematis Street, this spot never seems to sell out which is why it's a National treasure in my eyes. Back in the day, I used to just drink a PBR and quote Nietzsche. Now, I order a porter and just bop my head to the Ramones. It's no frills and it's done right. It's Funky Punk & Punk never dies.

Each event is different at this cool alternative club. This was my second show for Lovesong: The Cure Tribute. They always deliver. Every tune is played well. Come with friends to enjoy all the fun! Last weekend I joined in on their Free Block Party and Ordinary Boys concert inside and Front 242 outside. An incredible Free block party. Always the best talents and more interesting than the east end of Clematis. Drinks are cheap!!! Nothing ever crazy here. Staff and clientele have been friendly.

I went to this venue for the first time and was blown away! Even though it's a far drive for me I came for a concert here. I love how intimate and casual vibes are. It's close to restaurants and that's definitely a plus in my book. I really loved the art and decorations to this venue. Similar to ones in miami. But there's something very special about this venue. I also had a drink at the outside bar area and the drink was to perfection. I definitely recommend this venue. And will hopefully return to this area soon.

    Chillin' at the patio bar.

Ask the Community - Respectable Street

What is the cover price? Is there no cover price before a certain time?

    Which night is karaoke?

Sorry, but we do not host karaoke at Respectable Street.

Can I bring someone who is 18?

Respectable Street is 21+ for almost all nights. When there is a National touring act coming to play the venue, we are allowed to do 18+ shows. That information is almost always on the Facebook event for the given show.

I think when all the work hates Mondays, this place is doing it's part to shift the opinion. I'm here during Spring Break and the place, although not crowded, is pleasantly patronized by a mature crowd who seem to know what they want. Carmen and Martina were working the nights I have been here and both times they were on their game with ready smiles and willingness to suggest items I might like. Their banter and customer connection made me feel a part of something and that is nice when you travel alone on business. I did not feel like this place could be called a night club, but I was not here on a weekend at all. It is possible that Friday and Saturday nights are jumping. I would return to find out. There is jazz night on Wednesdays and that brings in a crowd that is different than Mondays. It's all good though.

For the amount of two beers, I could have bought a 12-pack and called it a night. After nursing them down for a few hours, I decided to head on home. The staff is very friendly and so are the people that attend (usually an older crowd). There's a bench outside where you can sit and have a cigarette if you choose. The lighting is about what you'd expect from just about any other club. I never had to pay a cover charge, but that might have had something to do with either the event that they were hosting or because of the time/day that I went. They also have a Lakeside Tiki Bar on the premises, but the prices there are about the same. I really can't say much about this place since I'm recalling it from memory, but if you're picky about the prices of drinks, then I would suggest looking for a bar/club elsewhere.

Even if you are over 21 they will sometimes still give you a hard time despite all there servers being underage. -10/10" This review feels way off from reality. I've been here multiple times, and the experience has consistently been fun, welcoming, and well-run. First, the claim about "don't come if you're under 21" is simply not true. My son is 18 and regularly attends the Friday and Saturday night lessons with zero issues. It's actually one of the few places around that offers a safe, structured environment for younger people to learn and enjoy country dancing. As for staff and security--being firm is not the same as being "egotistical." They're managing a busy venue, and from what I've seen, they handle it professionally and keep things under control, which makes the whole place more enjoyable for everyone. The food is exactly what you'd expect for a lively night out--solid and satisfying--and the overall atmosphere is what keeps people coming back: great music, dancing, and a good crowd. Honestly, this reads more like a personal bad moment than an accurate representation of the place. Our experiences have been consistently positive, and we'll absolutely keep coming back.

The cashier did not even greet us and I handed her the funds to cover the entry fee for my sister and myself, and she was like "well you need another $10" to which my other party member went in to pay as well. We thanked her for our wristbands and I don't even think she acknowledged us once. Her tone was not friendly and so I did not have the best impression entering the facility, however, I didn't want that experience to dictate my whole night. The lighting and ambiance was fun, pleasant, and very fitting. The line dance instructor was super helpful, quick, but easy to follow! Music selection was diverse and catchy. My sister enjoyed her drink. And overall, it was a nice night. One of the employees from the venue uninstalled one of the tables for us to give us more space to study the dance moves lol, which was really kind of them! Overall, my group and I had a lot of fun and will come back!

I had won another Instagram giveaway. I made a 5:30 pm Saturday reservation. Parking along the street was free. I was going to use valet , but that service wasn't available at that time. Daniel informed us about the happy hour cocktail and food prices, all basically 10 bucks. I had a delicious whiskey sour, but they used a lime as a garnish. Who garnishes a whiskey sour with a lime? We ordered the arancini for our appetizer. Taleggio filled, crispy rice balls with pecorino and black truffle crema (3 pieces). So good. For dinner I ordered the lobster fettuccini , and my wife ordered the Aussie Wagyu short rib. Both delicious and both paired perfectly with a glass of wine. We were not going to get dessert, but what the hell , I have a gift card, so we went with the French donuts with a berry sauce and melted chocolate. They were amazeballs . They were still moving tables around when we got in line, which should've been our first warning sign that the night was going to operate on "Palm Beach time." Now, my club-line era officially expired sometime around low-rise jeans and flip phones, but the group really wanted to go, so I didn't want to be the Debbie No-Dancing Downer. Even though the line wasn't that long, it still took a solid 20-30 minutes to get inside because they kept letting "VIP" people skip ahead. Apparently everyone in Palm Beach is either a VIP, dating a VIP, or pretending to be one. There's no cover charge, which at first feels generous... until you realize they automatically add a 20% gratuity to your bill. The place is so dark inside that you practically need night-vision goggles to read the check, so none of us noticed and almost our entire group tipped another 18-20% on top of it. By the end of the night, we tipped enough to personally fund someone's boat payment. Nearly 40% in gratuity is wild. Then came the bathroom experience. No running water in the sinks, no hand sanitizer... nothing. So apparently we were all just expected to raw dog public restroom germs and head straight back to the dance floor. YIKES. The best part of the night was honestly the people watching. It felt like a live taping of Real Housewives of Palm Beach: designer outfits, dramatic entrances, suspiciously overfilled faces, and enough Botox in the room to stop time itself. Absolutely entertaining. The music was actually pretty good, but the place was so packed there was barely room to dance. At one point I think I burned more calories trying to squeeze past people than actually moving to the music. If you're looking for a true dance floor, this probably isn't it unless your dance style is "slight shoulder movement while holding a drink."
