All are pull through and pretty level 30 & 50 amp service plus sewer hook up. The general store is well stocked. Bathrooms were fairly modern and very clean. Has a pool but it was too cold to swim. Pool is pretty small. There is probably one of the best laundry rooms I've ever seen at a campground. Four washers and four dryers. $2.00 foe a washer and the same for the dryers. Did a great job washing and you get 40 minutes on the dryer! Plus it was super clean. They have a pretty cool little book exchange located in the laundry area. The books are free to take, but if you have one to exchange they welcome that. I left a few books I had read while on vacation. Pretty cool. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and things to do here. The grounds are still suffering from the affects of Hurricane Helene. They have moved all the downed trees toward the lake so it blocks the view of the lake. There are what appears to be some permanent campers on the back of the property by the water. I probably wouldn't stay here for a week again, but if I needed an overnight stay or a couple days I wouldn't hesitate to choose Eagles Roost. There is a huge Flea market at the north end of the property. Seems like it's only open on the weekends. We were not able to check it out.

Kampgrounds of America (KOA) is rarely or ever our destination but we do use them for overnight…read morestays while traveling in our RV when the distance is a bit more than we care to drive without an extended break. We've stayed at a number of KOA locations over the years and although most have great amenities we rarely use them since we are basically looking for a safe location close to the highway with full hookups and a level site for the night. I book all the sites using the KOA app so I can pick the type of the site I want and get the pricing upfront with photos showing the accommodations, this has worked out great especially since I am a rewards member and get points I can use on future stays. The Jennings, Florida location is classified as a "Holiday" which provides more ammenties for longer visits and vacations but all types accommodations overnighters. This location is like so many KOA campgrounds it's a little worn, the roads are narrow and the sites are close together but the utilities worked fine and most of the sites are pull-through making for an easy exit in the morning. It's August in Florida and the lack trees makes this location very hot and you better hope your A/C units are in good working order, I have (3) air conditioners on my bus and they ran almost continuously to fight off the sun and humidity but the location made for a good overnight stay. I want to recognize the wonder staff here, the front office made sure everything was taken care of before escorting us to our site. We stayed in site 20 and it was tight for our 41foot coach and our toad but it worked out. The office parking lot is very big so we stopped there to reconnect our tow vehicle before getting back on I75 north bound looking for cooler weather...

There were already a good amount of people and the parking lot was almost full, but there was still plenty of space for people in the springs. There isn't a lot of space to put your belongings as there aren't really any large open spaces, but people pretty much just put their stuff where they can. You can either enter the springs via some stairs that take you right to the deep portion, or you can walk around the springs and enter at a shallower section. If you do go in at the shallower section, be aware that there's quite a strong current that can be difficult to fight against to get into the deep area. I would also recommend chacos or sandals of some kind as there are a lot of rocks in the shallower end that can be very slippery. The water is VERY cold, so be prepared for that, but know that it will also feel amazing afterward and soak any body aches/pains away. The springs are one of the most beautiful swimming areas I've seen--so much beautiful nature surrounding it. If I could go there WITHOUT the loud crowds of people, it would be the most absolutely perfect spot to relax and spend a day. Even with that it was fantastic and I would 100% return.

Suwannee River Rendezvous is a great place to relax, unwind and have a good time. My wife and I…read morevisited the Suwannee River Rendezvous over a weekend with family. My wife and I arrived Friday afternoon for our tent camping weekend at the Suwannee River Rendezvous. The three-hour drive to Mayo wasn't bad from Tampa. Check-in is at 2pm. We arrived around 5pm. The place can be a tight squeeze around the office, even with a small pick-up truck and it is pretty hilly! My wife and I walked in to the office and a friendly woman behind the desk got us all set up in a matter of minutes. Soon, we were on our way down to our site. The tent locations in the lower rendezvous area are nice but not all that spacious. They are manageable and are limited to one tent each. I think majority of their visitors come in RV. Our primitive spot was up on a hill, overlooking the Suwannee River, which was beautiful. We got our tent set up in the only spot that it would really fit. We had a fire pit and a picnic table. A long trail goes all along the river and luckily, not many people were wandering around. Otherwise, we would have had many travelers passing through our campsite all day. My wife's parents ended up having to change their site because their camping set up is little more elaborate. They would not have fit comfortably and also would have had to climb up a steep hill to get to their site. Once settled, we set about to explore. They have a convenient lodge area complete with a mini convenience store. If you forgot anything, they have it. They offer games and other activities. They have a take a book, leave a book section and a kitchen that cooks food. On our first night, we played bingo. My wife and I won $70 on one game. Our two night stay was only $58 so, in theory, they paid us to be there. We visited family over in the RV park area which was relatively quiet and nice. This is where you can find showers and a catch-and-release pond. The showers are little ways away from the lower rendezvous. They were clean though and private since it's just a single shower inside a locked bathroom. On Saturday, we went kayaking on the river. I rented a kayak for $25 for the day. They offer a service to drive you up river and drop you off but we did that ourselves since we had a trailer. 2.5 hours later, we were back! The river is beautiful and quiet, although, this time of year, no wildlife at all. Saturday, we also participated in the pigeon races. For $5, you get a to pick out a pigeon and if it's the first to fly back, you get a prize. A fun activity. We also played redneck bowling which, if you ask me, was a pretty nifty invention. There is a crank you turn to set up the pins and a mechanism on a pulley to return the bowling ball. Pretty cool and a lot of fun! All in all, this place was a good time. For us, we like to be a little more "off-the-grid" as they say. This was a good balance. The primitive campsite area was secluded and didn't receive cell service or the wifi provided from the lodge. However, a 2-minute walk and we could get internet, a cup of coffee and a bathroom. My wife and I would definitely go back here. The staff we encountered were nice for the most part and at least for mid-February, the camping side wasn't all that busy.

Mr. Pete provided immediate assistance with a power plug adapter. The bathing house was clean and nicely decorated. Most important, the water was nice and hot!! I felt right at home and relaxed. There were multiple hooks to hang my bags and towel. There was even a nice space for me to put on make up. I will definitely make this my destination spot anytime we come to Valdosta for a "Wild Adventure" with clean and welcoming accommodations.

Luckily I had reserved and paid online. He was able to pull up a main screen where I saw my name and sight number. Pointed that out to him and told him we would just go to that site and come back later for our receipt. Went back to the office later and Mary was there. She was very pleasant and apologetic about the earlier situation. Asked how our site was, told her fine, but we were having issues getting our satellite signal. She promptly offered to move us to a different site. We went ahead and moved. Very much appreciated it. Bath and shower rooms are very nice and clean. They have a small loung area with tv, free wifi, book exchange. Very homey feeling. They also have a laundry room, pool and playground. Sites are close, but not on top of each other. Roads in the park are dirt/sand and sites are dirt with grass in between. Disappointed with the whole look and feel of this place. The price is pretty high for what you get. Okay for a one night stay, in your own RV. Pretty warm night tonight, so will be running the AC. So highway noise won't be an issue. They do offer a bit of a breakfast. They had an egg casserole, Belgian toaster waffles, Danishes and coffee.
